It's the final working day before E3 week, and that means all our most-eyeballed devs are working hard to beat out some teaser-worthy footage. Following the ArmA 2 DayZ mod, Bohemia Interactive is definitely on our list -- and they've delivered, with an ArmA 3 alpha gameplay trailer that'll have us asking questions to be ever-so-conveniently answered next week.
Oh, man, isn't this guy just great? The accent's lovely, and just exotic enough to require subtitles. Hilarious subtitles. If taking a "wee jaunt" by the "romantic sunset" befalling Camp Maxwell isn't enough to get you smiling shyly like a schoolgirl, perhaps the splendid™ detail will. Those lush, dreamy hills go on forever.
Some hints are dropped about various upgrades and new features to the series -- the fatigue and encumbrance system excites me, but then again, I'm one of those weirdos who likes realism in their games. If you are a more exciting person than I, you might be keen to take control of a tank or an absurdly nimble helicopter. Our narrator's a real tease, though. Keeping us in our place. Reminding us that we can't get too excited. "Up ahead lies a bunch of enemies," he says, "and I've got a grenade launcher on the roof of this vehicle..." but ha! You'll have to wait for E3 to see what the action really looks like! So, you know, do as the nice man says, and encourage your favorite gaming journalist (hint, hint?) to go extract some explodey footage from E3 itself.
