Aero Empire is set in a world where villages of people are scattered along mountaintops, because the land below is completely blocked off by an impassible barrier of clouds. Because of the unique conditions of this world, the game takes place almost entirely in the sky, upon aircraft and zeppelins. Aero Empire is a cross-genre game, incorporating elements of role-playing games, shooters, flight simulators, real-time strategy and tactical simulations as you rise through the ranks of the military in one of the game's nations. The game world is populated with thousands of artificially intelligent non-player characters (NPCs) with their own desires and personalities, all set against a backdrop of war and bloodshed, creating a dynamic and ever changing experience.
