Aces of the Pacific

Realism, aircraft, technology, multiplayer and many ways to kill many a folk made Aces of the Pacific an immediate hit. With so many planes it makes current titles shudder, Aces drew in the crowds. With so many varied missions -- land, air, sea -- it literally put competitors to shame. Aces kept the crowds frothing and clamoring for more. Unfortunately the sequel, Aces over Europe, never lived up to its predecessor. Better flight sims have come and gone, but this was one of the first truly glorious ones and its brand is still burnt in our minds.
