Dishonored - Arkane/Bethesda

Achievements: Excellent New World, Great Stealth, Gameplay Freedom

It's true that Dishonored can be completed in a short amount of time if you rush through it, but we highly recommend that you stop to smell the roses of Dunwall. Its colorful characters have plenty to say about the fascinating world they live in, especially when they think they're all alone -- and eavesdropping often reveals information that will lead you down a completely different path than if you'd simply charged ahead and murdered everything. For a game that's about an assassin to allow us to play through without taking a single life is remarkable in of itself, and the creative solutions Dishonored's great selection of supernatural powers and gadgets allows us to come up with for both killing and non-lethally punishing our targets is a kind of rewarding freedom that we don't see often enough in gaming.

Chief Criticisms: Relatively short; too easy to kill your way through.
