Got four USB controllers lying around? Good. Grab (or make) some friends, too -- you'll need 'em all for Moth Kidz, a warm fuzzies-inducing indie adventure that explores the power of friendship.

This exercise in friendship -- and study in adorability -- was put together by four developers in 48 hours for this year's Global Game Jam. Interpreting the jam's theme of "heartbeat" in the loveliest way possible, the four pals put together this co-op adventure, which will have you exploring colorful dungeons filled with sketchy monster-things. Moth Kidz's sweetest feature is that the player characters' powers grow stronger based on their proximity to one another -- sort of like a band of big-nosed Planeteers with no particular regard for maintaining this gaming environment's dangerous wildlife.

So hold hands and gather around for a mirthful story of love and companionship. You can download Moth Kidz for free at the website of one of the developers, Josh Alan B, or grab it at the Global Game Jam site. Make sure you've got those three friends with you, though -- just like in the real world, things come to a standstill without your pals to back you up.
