Welcome, PC gamers, to GameSpy's weekly rundown on the best content our sister site, FilePlanet, has to offer. We serve as the Knights of New, sorting through all of the demos, mods, patches and promos FilePlanet posts each week and pick out the best of the best for you to download right here every Friday.

Company of Heroes Eastern Front Mod

Company of Heroes has FileSpy's seal of approval as the most kickass WWII RTS ever made. And while our fingers are crossed that Relic and THQ's planned Gamescom announcement next month will be for a full-fledged CoH sequel, we're not holding our breath. So until that fateful day when we're clutching a copy Company of Heroes 2, we've got replays of the original 2006 classic, its two expansions, and amazing add-ons from the modding community like the Company of Heroes Eastern Front Mod.

An oldie but a goodie, Eastern Front first launched in 2010, bringing the Red Army of the Soviet Union with it. Last updated on June 31 with version 1.4, Eastern Front not only offers a new faction, it adds new units, campaigns, reward units, and gameplay tweaks. It's a must for CoH fans and enough to make you forget Company of Heroes 2 is nowhere on the horizon.

Supreme Ruler: Cold War Demo

BattleGoat Studios is once again challenging gamers to bring a fractured world together in the latest installment of its governing sim, Supreme Ruler: Cold War. As the title suggests, the series has moved from the near future of Supreme Ruler: 2010 (released in 2005) and Supreme Ruler: 2020 to the not-too distant past, throwing players into the middle of the historic conflict between the Communist and Western worlds.

The Supreme War: Cold War Demo, now available for download at FilePlanet, won't put you in the driver's seat of the U.S. or U.S.S.R., but it will allow you to assume control of the United Kingdom as relations between East and West Germany are deteriorating. As the leader of the U.K., how will you run your government to deal with the growing crisis? The choices are yours (and many) in the Supreme Ruler: Cold War Demo.

Borderlands Wallpapers

Each Wednesday, FilePlanet brings together the artistic talent of the PC gaming community, offering fan-created wallpapers based on some of our favorite franchises. Our intention in informing about Wallpaper Wednesday is twofold: 1) to encourage you to support the community, and 2) to help you liven up your monitor with cool gaming wallpapers every week.

This week, Gearbox's cell-shaded, open-world RPG Borderlands is the subject, and three great wallpapers created by FilePlanet users prove this is one franchise that's near and dear to PC gamers' hearts. Download a Borderlands Wallpaper today (our personal favorite is Ninja Claptrap) and show some love.

Fallout: New Vegas Sprint Mod

FileSpy doesn't waste time moseying through the Mojave Wasteland of Fallout: New Vegas; CAPS Lock is always firmly enabled, meaning we run everywhere we go. But when you're facing a swarm of Cazadors and lugging around 250 lbs. worth of hard-won stuff, running just isn't fast enough. That's where the brilliant Fallout: New Vegas Sprint Mod comes in.

Custom bind a key to Sprint, press it down, and take off, with your mad dash cleverly limited by your Action Points meter -- as you Sprint, your AP meter runs down. The mod is also designed so the weight you're carrying and battle wounds like a busted leg impact your speed and ability to Sprint. Stop running around New Vegas (no one actually walks, do they?) and start sprinting today.

Chantelise: A Tale of Two Sisters Demo

Last but not least, FileSpy would like to direct your attention to another demo, this one developer Carpe Fulgur's follow-up to last year's awesome indie JRPG, Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale. It's called Chantelise: A Tale of Two Sisters, and it's a hack and slash worth the look the demo provides.

A more traditional JRPG than the shop-management-heavy Recettear, Chantelise (which first launched in its native Japan before Recettear in 2006) is set for full release today on Steam. Download the Chantelise: A Tale of Two Sisters Demo now and try before you buy. You just might remember why you ever fell in love with JRPGs in the first place.

That wraps up another week of FileSpy. As always, thanks to Justin, Paul, et al at FilePlanet -- not to mention all you modders out there -- for doing the heavy lifting and giving PC gamers everywhere ways to expand the titles they love and new games to fall in love with.
