Welcome, PC gamers, to GameSpy's new weekly rundown on the best content our sister site, FilePlanet, has to offer. We'll serve as the Knights of New, sorting through all of the demos, mods, patches and promos FilePlanet posts each week and pick out the best of the best for you to download right here every Friday.

Let's dive right in, shall we, with FileSpy's own personal favorite file of the week, the Mount & Blade Star Wars Conquest Mod. This module first appeared last summer and has since been given a solid overhaul, with an enhanced campaign map, new AI, better lightsabers and lasers, new locations, and much more that transforms the medieval world of Mount & Blade into your favorite far, far away galaxy.

Before we introduce the next file, we'd just like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the hard working modders out there who helped revive Fallout: New Vegas. Packed with bugs, glitches, and dated looks when it shipped in October, Bethesda and Obsidian's post-apocalyptic shooter has been transformed by the modding community, and the Fallout New Vegas: Area 51 Mod is the latest example of their fine efforts.

Fallout: New Vegas Area 51 Mod

The lowdown on Area 51: North of Follower's Safehouse a mysterious radio signal beckons you to travel to the derelict facility known as Area 51 where a tough crew of ghouls and robotic security await. What happened to this facility and its residents? Discover the dark secrets lurking within Area 51. (Read FilePlanet's full blog post on Area 51 for more.)

Next up, we've got Project Blackout's new Dino Mode, the same mode we pimped on the GameSpy blogroll earlier this week. For those not in the know, Project Blackout is an action-packed, twitch-based MMOFPS from SG Interactive. The free-to-play game took an unexpected turn into prehistory this week with the launch of Dino Mode, a new match type that adds Raptors and T-Rex to the multiplayer mayhem. Our friends at FilePlanet had a blast playing it, and you will, too.

Project Blackout isn't the only F2P FPS to keep an eye on. Beginning today, FilePlanet is hosting an exclusive beta for Warmongers' in-development tactical shooter, War Inc. Battlezone. Sign up for the beta, and you'll become among the first to test out the game's newest feature, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.

Last but not least, FileSpy would like to direct your attention to the Project Zomboid Pre-Alpha Tech Demo. The demo is currently the hottest download on FilePlanet, and for good reason. Zomboid brings the zombie apocalypse to the isometric sand-box, resulting in throwback PC gaming fun that's also surprisingly deep and thought provoking. Recently updated, this demo should be at the top of your download list.

That wraps up our first week of FileSpy. Thanks to Justin, Paul, et al at FilePlanet and all you modders out there for doing the heavy lifting for us and for giving PC gamers everywhere new ways to expand the titles they love and find new games to fall in love with.
