pink, blue, yellow…sofa

In the era of neutral sofas as the first and best choice to create a well styled room even without decorating skills, you find yourself coveting for a bright coloured sofa or even patterned one. Go with it! and if you wonder how to decorate the room around such a vibrant and statement piece, I’ll try to help you decide. Depending on the look you want, you may want to showcase the vivid colour of the sofa, or make it blend with the rest of the room. The colors you choose to surround the sofa are key to achieving the right design for the space.

fantastic makeover of French cabinet

Who doesn't love a good transformation? I do, but mostly the vision amazes me. Not many would choose to makeover this cabinet in that state, but look at the result. Who knew? It's beautiful and unusual to mix white with tortoise shell on top. I love it. And when the door opens, new color surprises you... Want to see how it looked before? scroll down...

{DIY idea} houndstooth wall stencil ** {uradi sam} pepito dezen na zidu

The elegance and versatility of houndstooth pattern amazes me. I've wrote about more colourful version of houndstooth stenciled wall before, and this one is equaly great. The owner of this lovely working corner, Aimee, is right when saying it changed the space from bore...to adore. It looks completed, sophisticated and - most important - it sends creative vibe. This stencil is even easy to make at home, so why don't give it a try?

Prilagodljivost pepito šare kao i njena svevremenska elegancija me oduševljavaju.

{DIY idea} fallen leaves ** {uradi sam} opalo lisce

Autumn gives us plenty of materials for expressing our creativity. I've picked one lovely and simple idea out of many. I love how good the result looks...and not just for fall

materials:
*paper or canvas,
*pdf board or frame if you use paper,
*craft paint and spray paint in various colours,
*brushes,
*leaves, flowers or stems,
*spray on adhesive
how to: when you choose your leaves, flatten them between heavy books. Paint the entire sheet of paper or canvas in your desired colour and let it dry. Spray the back of the leaves with adhesive and simply tack on the painted surface. Lightly spray paint the entire surface and carefuly peel away the leaves.

{weekend project} kitchen storage cart ** {uradi sam} kuhinjski stočić kolica

Kitchen cart is highly efficient piece of furniture in any home. It is great for huge homes, but esspeccialy tiny homes in need for double duty items. You can use it wherever you think of - storage for everything you need for baby bathing and changing, in bathroom use it for cleaning products,or beauty products, in bedroom it can serve as makeup and jewelry table, and in the living room for drinks and snacks. For complete tutorial on what you need and how to make this one pictured above, visit Lowe's creative ideas.

35 ideas to camouflage your TV ** kamuflirajte televizor

I selected this post to be featured on Interior Design Blogs. Please visit the site and vote for my blog!

glorily and jeremy's evolving wicker park victorian via ApartmentTherapy
We all watch tv, but mostly women (don't mind me saying that) don't like when the TV dominates the room. I see on the web, there are homes with family or media rooms dedicated for this purpose. As most of the people live in small houses or apartments, they have to think of a solution to blend the tv seamlessly and still be able to watch it comfortably. I collected some inspiration for disguising the tv without spending much money or building new furniture.

nursery in the master bedroom * bebi kutak u spavacoj sobi

Many new parents have to be creative with the placement of their nursery - like we did. When you don't have the space to give your baby (or babies) a room of her own, you have to turn your master bedroom into a dual purpose room. It can be challenging to decorate the room to fit both the adult and the baby - and that's fun about decorating. What colour palette is the best, what furniture to choose, how to arrange it, what decor elements are the best?...those might be some of your thoughts, and here are some tips you may find useful:

Paper, plastic bags, coffee filters or anything crossing your mind can be used for creating a modern and original light fixture. DIY ... mantel but no fireplace

Do you have any spare space on the wall? I bet you do.
Well, why don't use a mantel shelf as a beautiful focal point you can redecorate every now and then? there's no reason not to...because you don't have to have a fireplace. I found you a close up of Erin's gorgeous foyer update.

my projects..eclectic wall clock

Finally I have permission to show you clock made of music record...and how it looks finished. Those who are following me from the start, read the post where I showed the sneak peak of my little and sweet project

When my father started renovating our family house, there were lots of things undiscovered, collecting dust. Among them were some old records which no one will ever listen. Don't worry,I saved a few of them worth saving.
We decided that nobody will need this record of Paloma Blanca (have YOU ever heard of them?)...and since my sister's room was in progress I suggested to make a wall clock out of it..as a present.
I had in mind from the start to put some Japanese inspired motif, as I know how much she loves the style.
Unfortunately, my father and his wife decided to decorate her room in totally different direction (while she was away)...so at least she has something she can carry with herself...

how to..make the most of your small space

Why am I so intrigued with this topic? Maybe the reason is my apartment of 40 square metres. I live there with my husband and our two year old boy. We're planning a baby soon, but our home is not nearly prepared for it.
We have to make room for kids to have a space just for them, and of course we want to have our privacy (we share the room with our Bumble Bee).
It would be great if our Bumble would have his own room, space for playing, enjoying, studing in the future... Kids need their own space to grow in it,to feel free and not stiffed.
In that case (if we ever manage to make two small, but separate rooms) what's left for living-dining-kitchen area is 20square meters. Not big,but I believe to know how to make the best of it... Someday... sigh
That's why I want to share some of my thoughts how to make the small seem bigger. I wrote a few posts on space saving ideas here and here...
