big ideas for small spaces

Paint at least a stripe in chalkboard paint. It looks interesting, doesn’t take up any space and you can always use it for recipes (like in the example), shopping or to do lists, and for occupying your kids in time of need…

tiny room for two little girls

Amazing interior design and storage solution by Tina Kurpez / Karas studio as always. Tina has such a good sense of space complemented with great design eye. That’s just my subjective thinking… blink blink.
She transformed this tiny room in a special kingdom for two little girls, with tons of storage and still enough room to play/draw/study. Truly a room they can grow into. Love the dark walls as a background for fresh green furniture. I would describe this room as vivid, inspiring, happy and fresh. foto: Berislava Picek / Cropix

{perfect home No. 34} Nordic maxi coloured

This lovely house features a different kind (my kind) of Nordic décor. It has a white background but it was only used to make the rest of the elements stand out. The huge blank canvas was filled with lots of colourful and vibrant details. Many different colors were combined but they were beautifully balanced. It’s interesting how each room or space has its own palette of colors. The kitchen is mostly white with black and ocher. Then the space continues into the living room where an entire wall was painted ochre. It was combined with turquoise and blue accents and a brown sofa and the contrast is quite beautiful. Adding purple to the palette starts in entryway and continues to the upstairs, where you climb on bright red stairs. Upstairs the palette is calmer, perfect for rest area. Exterior of the house is unspeakably lovely

colourful rented apartment for family

Family living and bright colours are the main focus in this rental apartment. The strong colour palette kicks you right as you enter the apartment. Green, yellow, pink and blue may seem like an overwhelming colour choice for many, but the owner have combined the colors, so it all still works quite stylish. Whole space feels energized, youthful and happy. I dig the entrance, dining corner in the kitchen and small bedroom in red. If you want your space to be modern and affordable, this is the style you should be going for.

nursery ** jaslice

nursery by nikki via lovelyscribbles

How lovely! I just had to feature this nursery inspired by Alice in wonderland. How cute is that little rocking chair, right? But my favourite part is the storage cubes mounted on the wall. I think it’s smart to have all baby stuff on open for easy access. It works for me perfectly. To see more of this room, go to Lovely Scribbles blog

{Mnogo je slatka soba za curicu, inspirisana Alisom u zemlji čuda. Mala stolica za ljuljanje je pravi biser, ali je meni omiljena polica montirana na zid. Praktična je jer oslobađa pod, a super je za držanje svih bebi stvarčica na otvorenom. Meni bar takav sistem odgovara. Da pogledate detaljnije ovu čarobnu sobicu, skoknite na Lovely Scribbles blog.}

nursery in the master bedroom * bebi kutak u spavacoj sobi

Many new parents have to be creative with the placement of their nursery - like we did. When you don't have the space to give your baby (or babies) a room of her own, you have to turn your master bedroom into a dual purpose room. It can be challenging to decorate the room to fit both the adult and the baby - and that's fun about decorating. What colour palette is the best, what furniture to choose, how to arrange it, what decor elements are the best?...those might be some of your thoughts, and here are some tips you may find useful:

inspiring kid's rooms

28941_0_4-9335--I'm all about kid's rooms now. How strange, right? :) It's almost the only thing I see everywhere on the internet. While preparing this post with inspiring rooms for kids, I found a few showing exactly what I wanted for my 3 year old boy's room he will be sharing soon with his baby brother or sister. I've already wrote about us(parents) moving into living room, freeing up the space for him - to have his own kingdom... We didn't do that yet, but now's definitely the time!

home of Dora iz Londona

Thanks to Kristina at Miss Decor studio, I found out about Dora iz Londona who left a comment on Kristina's blog. Sometimes one awakes my curiosity to find out who's behind that name. I'm happy to find Dora iz Londona, because her home in London is so beautiful. I love it! You will do, too...and I'm sure some of you'll consider asking them to move in :)dora iz londona flickr photostream12

focus on designers: Jennifer Delonge

Hello dears...this post I'll start with a quote. Sarah Coffey  at Apartment Therapy wrote:
Very few of Jennifer Delonge's interiors are instantly recognizable as "kids rooms." They look like cool, comfortable spaces that could belong to anyone... until a pint-sized drawing table, a fire truck on the floor, or a wall of baby photos gives away the fact that these are, in fact, homes with small children.
I have nothing more to add to this...except I would love to create something similar for my little boy. To be honest - he wouldn't care much about the looks, all he wants is big playing area...but I'd be extremely happy... Oh my

passion finds..youngster's rooms

While surfing the net, I bumped into Designing blog full of great interior renderings made by Sergi Mengot, interior designer from Barcelona.
I like his sense of functionality, especially when comes to designing kids rooms. Every inch of space is well used, combining everything a child needs in his room - place to sleep and rest, place for studing and of course place for playing and creativity.

what a stylish nursery...

My son is growing so fast...almost 2 years already. we still share the room, but soon my hubby and I would have to pack our bags, and find another solution. most likely, it will be sofa in the living room, because I don't think we will have the money to make the best solution. sofa's waiting for us for a long time now :)

it was difficult to decorate the room not to be too adult or too childish. i tryed to find some ideas how to make the two styles to work, but at the end, I just left it as it was at the beggining. my hubby loves every shade of blue..since i'm married, i start to like some shades of blue too.. teal, duckegg, navy blue. blue-gray and blue-green are my favorite combinations. with punches of warm colors, like deep orange, and some dark brown- beautiful.

here comes the point
my daily blog inspiration is one-of-a-kind making it lovely where i love to read her honor roll. this time it lead me to design sponge (of course, known from before) and with two cats, totally-new-for-me-but-so-lovely blog which i fell in love right away. what cought my eye is that Lauren from with two cats made the prettiest nursery I've seen. white as a neutral, light furniture, cool blue-gray wall for calming effect, and punches of orange, warm yellow, reddish make this room outstanding.

maybe you ask yourself why I'm so overjoyed about this room...please, take a look for yourself

i would love to upholster my living room sectional in this fabric

i crave for window benches

my husband and i love this color, we're soon painting our multitasking room in this shade...and i was thinking about similar painted tree over our headboard, because we need a focal point. i think it would be perfect. i already have pure white curtains (yes, everybody should start with curtains when decorating :D ),and i can't wait to do the rest. what's keeping us? rain! countles days of raining! did anyone said it's spring?
