City Daily Photo Theme Day - My Neighborhood

Since I sadly do not live in Paris, I'm sharing a photo from our window this last trip in early March. We were on an upper floor so I had the pleasure of photographing the rooftops in all times of day and weather. Rue des Entrepreneurs.

Pluie à Paris

My phone weather app is still set on Paris. I opened it today, and see that there will be sunny skies for the next 10 days. We weren't that lucky but as I think of all those in lockdown in Paris right now, I"m glad they have sunny skies to lift their spirits. This view of the rooftops from our apartment made the rain seem worth it. As someone told me long ago, "You don't go to Paris for the weather." Indeed.

Sunset On The Roof

If you've never experienced sunset on the roof of Galeries Lafayette, you need to put it on your to do list. The balloon was a special effect for the Christmas season, but it's lovely to look over the Opera, rooftops and of course la tour Eiffel!

Sunday Church Series - Almost There!

If you have ever made the trek to the dome of the Sacre Coeur, you know this very spot. When after what seems like hours...days...of climbing the winding stairs, you find yourself outside on the rooftops with this view. It's a welcome breath of fresh air, but alas, you must go back and climb many more steps. I've made this twice and there will NOT be another climb for me, but I have many photos!

Les pots de chiminée

From our newly discovered vantage point high above the city at Le Perchoir's rooftop bar,  I found lots of chimney pots to focus on.

I seem to remember that I was sitting at a café, enjoying lunch and a glass of wine and looked up.  I don't know what I love more, the chimney pots or the TV antennas... or maybe the ciel bleu!

Sunday Church Series - Église Saint-Eustache

Taken from high atop the Centre Georges Pompidou (through the glass), a view of the Église Saint-Eustache   that one doesn't normally see. I'm feeling pretty proud of myself for identifying this lovely Paris church, which geographically is a lot farther away than it appears.
