Happy and colorful

Hi all.
It has been a wonderful, sunny week in oslo this early september.
Love these warm, beautiful days in the beginning of fall, when it's still a little bit left of the summer.

I have been playing with my Little Shoebox papers lately. LOVE these colorful, happy papers. They always seems to make me smile - and spark my creative mind :)

Yesterday was my first day at the MLS blog.
WOW, I feel SO honored to be a part of this wonderful team :) :)

I made these little notebooks for my girls using the oh so cute "summer breeze" line.
just have to love the little birds. :)

Had to make a layout about my little cupcake maker too :)
the super-cute banners was perfect for this layout. :)
I was SO happy to get TWO wonderful punches by fiskars ( the little daisy punch, and the beautiful border punch) to use on the books and the layout as well. :)

The rest of this week will probably be über-busy ( so please forgive me if I'm not much around on my blog) with packing and shipping the new 3ndypapir christmas line to all the shops around Norway, Sweeden, the Netherlands......and everywhere else...
I will also get ready for my two classes in Trondheim this upcoming weekend at Trøndersaksa (a local crop / gathering).
I'm so looking forward to go to Trondeim - I'm sure it will be LOTS of fun :) :)

Happy week

A rainy day

Hi my friends.
It has been a rainy, gray day here in Oslo.
My car broke down last week and are still in "hospital". Don't know when it will be back.
Well, so we use this opportunity to really "get in shape" after a lazy summer.
Hubby riding his bike to his office 35 km each way,
me carrying all the grocerys for our 6 persons-family on my bike from the store 1,5 km away.
...
and the rain
...
Yes, this could have been a very bad day
...
but
I decided I didn't want it that way.
I wanted it to be a happy day.
SO
I used this rainy day to create a
for my norwegian / scandinavian friends
So they easily can buy 3ndypapir papers for their craft-needs
:) :) :)
and more good news:
I created (re-created) a
for my international friends.
:) :) :)
All this made me so happy and excited I just HAD TO create some fun little things.
This note-book idea had been in my mind for a while, and today was the perfect day for this to come true.
Besides I need a notebook before school starts to keep track of all the things I have to organize and remember.

Used 3ndypapir "søtt" and "sommerhilsen" (secret garden collection) for this project.
These little books will also make a cute gift for little girls. :)

I had some pictures of sol picking raspberries.
We had so much fun picking the berries and then make some raspberry jam for lunch the other day. Just needed to document this :)

Was totally inspired by Rondas august sketch contest over at Cocoa Daisy for this layout.
patterned paper-strips by 3ndypapir and hand chrocheted flowers from Etsy.

...

The weather lady tell us the sun will shine here in Oslo tomorrow.
Well, can't be better!
:)

sunny sunday

Happy sunday my friends.
The sun is shining here in Oslo today, and hubby find it perfect for a trip on the fjord with our old wooden boat.

I finally found some time for creating this weekend too. Love my papers, stamps and fabrics.

Yes, I really had a gret time playing with my Cosmo Cricket fabric too. These fabrics are SO cute - just needed to make some little pencil cases for my girls using the bright fun colors.
I was inspired by my wonderful friend Hanne to create these. :)
On this layout, made for this weeks color combo over at The Color Room, and on the layout above, I have used some of my favorite my Stamp BOX stamps.
My Stamp BOX have a DT call ending today - so hurry up and get your creations posted to Bettina!
mSB is a wonderful little stamp company, and I have SO enjoyed being a part of this team for three terms.

Now, off for a summery sunny boat-trip. LOVE summer!!

flower inspiration

Hi my friends. Hope you are all fine.
Finally spring starts to settle for real here and flowers peek up everywhere.
I SO love this time of year! :)
I LOVE flowers, they always seems to make me happy. And after my post on how to made the bouquet I showed at the Hellerud scrapbooking and rubberstamp show Iwas SO, SO inspired by Wenche and her BEAUTIFUL flowers and by the flower challenge on the cocoa Daisy spring crop, to make this little spring bouquet.
My bouquet is pretty simple - most of the work is folding all the parts of the flowers.

I have made this little tutorial on how I made the flowers using my beautiful, colorful My Little Shoebox paper. This papers are perfect for flower-folding. Heavy, doublesided paper. I used hot glue to make sure the flowers don't fall apart.
I found the tutorial on how to fold the flowers here
So, let's just get started on the flower-folding.
For this project you'll need doublesided patterned paper. I used My Little Shoebox, but you can use 3ndypapir, CosmoCricket or any of your favourite heavy Weight doublesided patterned paper.
You'll also need hot glue, metal wire, oasis (green foam to use for flower-decorations) a little flower-pot or vase, scissor and paper-trimmer.
1. I started with 5 equaly sized 2x2inch squares.
2. fold the square in half
3. fold the corners of the triangle up to the top. The triangle ill now have a square shape.
4. fold the upper corners outwards.
5. open up the flaps and flatten, like this:

6. fold down the upper edge of each flap and fold the flap back in half.
7. fold 5 equal pieces

8. glue the folded triangles together.
9. you now have one petal of your flower. Do the same to all the 5 parts of the flower.
10. glue all the petals together. Now the flower is ready.

Make as many flowers as you like in your fvourite colors.
Mine are all in spring-colors. :)
11. attach the metal wire (stem) to the back of your flower using the hot glue.

When all the flowers have stems, grab the oasis and make it fit in to the vase you have chosen for this project. I used a little silver-vase.
Add the flowers and arrange them as you wish. Add green leaves to cover the top of the oasis and little stripes of green paper to make spirals like in this project.
And because these flowers are not in need of sunlight or water this is a perfect decoration for the dark corners of your house that needs to be brightened up a bit. ;)

Hope you feel inspired!
And thank you Wenche for this wonderful idea!

have a great week you all.

winter storms and summer pictures... :)

Weather in Oslo is awful today. Snow and a ice cold north-wind. Brrr.
So what better time to dive in to all the warm and beautiful memories of summer.
I created this LO inspired by the January 2010 Lift over at Cocoa Daisy.
Had so much fun using my glimmer mist and my shimmerz paint on this LO :)
Added some of the awesome NEW chip-letters and patterned paper from the brand new line "material girl" by Cosmo Cricket. Love these new lines SO much!

And here is a mini-album I made for one of the classes I'll teach this year.
"Kreative Krumspring". :)
I'll teach this class at Minnehjørnet (Ski) tomorrow, at Kongsberg (KOKOS) the 7th of february, and in Tønsberg, Gode Minner, on valentines day (!) 14th of february.
I'll probably teach this class at Steffens, Oslo this spring too ;)
For you, my norwegian friends: I would LOVE to see you in my classes :)
I think this will be SO much fun!!

Have a great day!

Inspiration monday #2 get organized ;)

Hi my friends!! And welcome to this inspiration monday #2 :)

It's still early in january, and I haven't forgotten all about my new years resolutions... yet...
LOL
If you are like me you have alot on your plate during the week. And as a mother of 4 busy kids I really need a bit of organization.
So to keep track of all the appointments during the week I've made this week-planner.
This is a planner for all the things we do same day, same place every week, so I don't have to put that up in my calendar. I just keep this planner hanging along with my calendar, and I'll
keep track of all the stuff we do on a regular basis. :)

So today I'll share this little week-planner with you.
So simple, but yet so helpful. ;)

What You'll need:
1 white or cream cardstock 8" X 8"
2 sheets of 12" X12" patterned paper of your choice
2 eyelets
1 binder-clips
a piece of twine
day-stamps (mine are by Purple Onion)
photo-holders and brads
black pen
rubons

I made my plan simply by drawing this grid to a 8" X 8" cardstock. You can download and print this grid on to your cardstock if you like, or you can draw your own, perfect for your own use. :)

I rounded the corners of my cream cardstock and added the grid on top of my turcouse patterned paper - just left a tiny frame of turqouse around the cardstock.
I made two holes and add eyelets on the upper part of the patterned paper I decided to use as my background-paper.
I placed the holes a little bit right of the center, to make room for the date-stamps on the side of the grid-plan.
Tied the binder-clip to the paper with the twine.
Now you can place your planner in the middle of the background paper, and secure it with the clip.
Stamped Monday - Friday with my purple Onion date-stamps on a craft cardstock.
cut out all the circles / stamped images

Added the circles to the edge or my planner.
To add some drops of color and to secure the grid-cardstock (because I haven't glued it to the background - I wanted it to be changeable) I added 3 yellow photo-holders
Write the names in the uper part of the grid
Decorated with my favorite Cosmo Cricket rubons. :)
VOILA!
Planner is ready to use.
Just add your regular plans to the spaces on the planner.

I keep mine by the phone, so I won't miss out on anything ;)

Thanks for popping by!
Happy creating - and have a wonderful week!!
