a beautiful day in september

Hi all.
Today was a wonderful sunny day in Oslo, just the way we like fall, with beautiful colors, crisp air and sunshine.
A perfect day for a lunch trip in our old wooden boat before it gets to "sleep" for the winter.
We went to one of these little islands in the inner Oslofjord. Enjoyed the last warm sunbeams and a delicious lunch with foccaccia, ham, cheese and wine.
Mmmmmmmmmm
Today was my last blogpost at "my Stamp BOX" blog. This design-team term ends oct. 1st, and I have decided, after three terms on this gorgeous team I have to step down, make room for new designers and give my self the opporttunity to find new paths.
I have really enjoyed the time with my Stamp BOX. Bettina creates so beautiful, versatile and fun stamps, and her company is so great, and last but not least, the girls at the design team are all wonderful, talented and super inspiring women. I'll miss it all!
Here is the fall layout I created using my all time favorite mSB-stamp-set " floating leaves". LOVE this set, and it must be the stamp set I have used the most ever.
I also used "just add notes" set and "symbols". Love these. :)

sunny sunday

Happy sunday my friends.
The sun is shining here in Oslo today, and hubby find it perfect for a trip on the fjord with our old wooden boat.

I finally found some time for creating this weekend too. Love my papers, stamps and fabrics.

Yes, I really had a gret time playing with my Cosmo Cricket fabric too. These fabrics are SO cute - just needed to make some little pencil cases for my girls using the bright fun colors.
I was inspired by my wonderful friend Hanne to create these. :)
On this layout, made for this weeks color combo over at The Color Room, and on the layout above, I have used some of my favorite my Stamp BOX stamps.
My Stamp BOX have a DT call ending today - so hurry up and get your creations posted to Bettina!
mSB is a wonderful little stamp company, and I have SO enjoyed being a part of this team for three terms.

Now, off for a summery sunny boat-trip. LOVE summer!!

Butterflies and paint

Hi my friends
and welcome to this weeks inspiration monday (on tuesday ;) LOL)
I have been busy playing with my shimmering acrylic paint and the beautiful butterfly stamp-set "colorful companions" by my Stamp BOX.
So while I'm waiting for summer, looking out on the snow (yes, more snow today :-/ ) I had so much fun doing this little project.
Hope to make you feel inspired to grab your stamps and acrylic paint too :)

For this LO I used a round scallop-edged eggshell colored cardstock.
Butterfly stamps by my Stamp BOX
patterned paper "på vingene" by 3ndypapir
shimmering acrylic paint by PeBeo
buttons
Alphabet stickers by sassafras
My tattered angels glimmermist "golden terracotta" and Tiger lily"
hole punch
black pen

I grabbed my stamps and my acrylic paint.
Used a sponge to add paint to my stamp.
I started out stamping the image several times on the cardstock, using my shimmering orange paint.
I used different butterfy images, and used some red shimmering paint along with the orange on some of them.
This will make the back ground pattern for my layout.

After I finished stamping all my butterflies I pulled out the glimmermist. I opened the bottle and "splashed" drops of glimmermist on to the cardstock with the back of the spritzer.
I used my Tiger Lily" and "golden terracotta" mists for this to add different drops of color.
Let the cardstock dry

While the cardstock with paint and glimmermist dried I wanted to cut out two circles of patterned paper. I used 3ndypapir "på vingene" for my circles.
drawed around a medium sized plate to make a perfect circle.

Cut out two circles using my scissor.
Now it is time to add the picture and the circles to the cardstock.

Added Buttons and the Sassafras letters for my title.

Now I wanted to punch holes all along the beautiful scalloped edge of the layout.
I used my crop-a-dile for this, but you can use any hole-punch.
Added a tiny black border along the scalloped edge and journaling with my favourite black pen.

Voila!
Hope you feel inspired!
And Thanks for popping by!!
have a wonderful day.

LO and card

I'm really enjoying this easter break.
We decided to stay at home this year. The weather here in Oslo is - well - not very nice - rain, rain, rain.
But - perfect to stay indoor and do crafty stuff :) :)
I made this LO with SOL from her 8th birthday.
Used the colorful happy "garden variety" line by Cosmo Cricket along with some tags from 3ndypapir "secret garden" "markedsdag".
P K Glitz is having a bloghop today, and the my Stamp BOX-blog are one of the blogs in this hop.
I created this card for the bloghop, using some of my favorite mSB-stamps and some glittery goodness from PKGlitz.
Join the bloghop today for your chance to win a wonderful prize and some smaller prizes along the hop :)
I had so much fun making this card. It is actually a lift of a beautiful card made by AmyH (Paushdesign). You can find her card and more of her beautiful creations in her 2peas-gallery.
Thanks for the inspo Amy!
Have a wonderful Easter.
and thanks for popping by!

Me, a scrapbooker :)

Yes, I scrap!
Somethimes I just wonder....if I scrap, or if I just teach, run 3ndypapir, mail bunches of papers all over the world, surf internet, talk to people on mail...
Well I LOVE this part of my job, of course!!! But most of all i want to be a scrapbooker, an artist - a photographer...a paper-lover :)
And it feels GOOD when I find time to do the things I love the most.
Here are three LOs I made recently.
One with the BEAUTIFUL butterly stamps by my Stamp BOX (love these!!)
And the two LOs below are made for LOTUS paperie.
This awesome challenge-blog that recently closed. SO sad! :(
Used patterned paper by 3ndypapir, and the CUTE heart-stamps by Ett Trykk.
textbox by mme.
On the LO below I used my chipboard-snowflakes and thickers-alpha as mask, and spritzed with my favorite turquouse glimmermist by Tattered Angels.
Snowflake-stamps by my Stamp BOX :)
Thanks for popping by!!

Inspiration monday :)

Hi my friends, and happy monday :)

It's still freezing cold here in Oslo. The kids won't even go outside playing today...it's just too
cold....
but I'm here by my computer, ready for a new Inspiration monday, I wear my warm woolen pullover, and keep the fire going, so everything is good.
And today my face and my heart is smiling a extra large smile, while I welcome the readers of Scrapbooking.com magazine too.

I'm SO happy and honored my blog has been featured in this weeks Scrapbooking.com newsletter.
Thank you!!

So on to this weeks inspiration Monday.
I've been really inspired by grid-pattern lately. This is a great way to add lots of photos and keep the LO fresh and clean.
I also wanted to add alot of journaling on this LO, and decided to make a hidden journaling.
The grid allows me to put all the photos on the outside of a folded "card", and add the journaling on the inside.
This LO is a hybrid project.
I used this grid-pattern and added photos, digital elements and digital patterned paper before I printed it out on photo paper.
You can download the grid if you like and use it as your guide when you make your grid-inspired LO.
This grid template is not a layered template,
I resize my photos, use the squares as a guideline and add my photos on thop of the grey squares.
In Photoshop, resize the photos you want to use, and drag and drop them on to the template.

Put the photos in the order you like to have them, and add digital patterned paper to the squares without any photos.
I've used patterned paper by Kerry Lynn and Veronica Ponce.

I added some free digital word art by Ali Edvards and Veronica Ponce ( free 2Peas kit ) on top of my grid.
This is one of the things I love the most about hybrid scrapbooking - my freedom to add text, words and digital elements on top of my photos without any hassle and mess.
Now, my grid-LO is ready.
I printed it out on photo paper and cut it in shape.
Now on to the paper - "traditional" - part of this LO.

This is what you'll need:
-the photo/hybrid grid-picture printed out. Mine is apx 6 1/2 inch x 6 1/2 inch (16 x 16 cm)
-background paper, I've used "frosted" patterned paper by Fancy Pants
-red cardstock (or the color you prefer for your matting / hidden journaling-card.
-white cardstock for printing your journaling
-stickers embellishments. I have used stickers from "Cosmo Cricket "Jolly by Golly"
-stickers alpha. Thickers by American crafts "rainboots"
-doublesided tape
-stamps. mine is "let it snow" by my Stamp BOX
- light color stamp pad

Start with writing your journaling ( I use word) and print it out to fit on the inside / back of your photos.
I printed mine out to be the same square size as the picture-block.
Cut the cardstock in size.

To add some more intrest to the journaling I stamped some snowflakes around the edges and on the top of the journaling with a light blue color using my "let it snow" stamp-set by my Stamp BOX.

Now I cut my red cardstock in size.
I wanted the cardstock to be folded as a card to hide my journaling-box.
I cut the cardstock to be 17 cm high and 34 cm wide, and folded it, so each side of the card is 17 cm X 17 cm (you make the size that best fits your picture-block.)

Now I added the pictures to the outside of the card and the journaling-block to the inside of the red, folded card.
I placed the block on to the background paper and used my doublesided tape to adhere the photo-journaling-"card" to the background.

I added some little stickers-embellishments on top of my picture-block and on the patterned paper.
I added the title on top of my pictures too.

Here is the journaling-block inside the folded card.
The LO is ready!
Hope you feel inspired to add some more journaling - some hidden journaling and lots of photos to your LO.
And please link me up if you make a LO inspired by this inspiration monday.
I would LOVE to see what you all create.
Have a happy week!
and THANKS a billion for popping by!
