trick or treat ted

>> Wednesday, October 20, 2010

Good GRIEEEEEF i've been busy! And after my raging head cold finally subsided, but computer decided to die. Just one night i was typing up a blog post and POOF. It shut off... never to be restarted again. WTH! I finally gave up and made my hubby reluctantly agree to hand over his mac mini desktop. I need a desktop rather than a laptop anyway. But i still want to get my macbook working again! So frustrating! After finally getting my new computer set up... i had a string of makeup jobs (not complaining there to say the least... for those that are interested, i will be updating my makeup blog over the course of the next few days with pictures and such) but between work with makeup and work with the stamp company (orders take precedence over creating time!) I hadnt had time to work on too much. Fortunately for me, i had a few things I havent had the chance to show on my blog yet!

Like this fun monster card using Trick or Treat Ted from Paper Makeup Stamps.

Now as cute as he is with his little jack-o-lantern treat pail, check out what Randee did with him a bit back. See, he works all the time, not just in October! She's totally genius!

A little FYI for those who don't know... the past halloween (and many other fall stamps) are on SALE! Not just a little sale... a big sale! Qty's are limited of course, so check out the sale stuff while you can!

The card above was colored with copic markers (G21, G24, G28; C0, C1, C2, V12, V15; YR12, YR14, YR18). THe papers are all from the Halloween Card kit released this month from PMS (the paper collection is Happy Halloween from Echo Park).

I added some liquid glass by CTMH to his helmet. It looks really fun and cool in person, kinda hard to see in the picture.

Whew, well i'm wiped and going to bed! Hopefully you've enjoyed your easier read. haha.

Have a great day!!!

Arelia's World of Make Believe Kit Review

>> Wednesday, September 15, 2010

2nd post of the day! Scroll down to see my card for the Copic Creations Challenge!

I'll keep this post short... since it's my 2nd one of the day!

Today Lisa Kind and I are reviewing the Arelia's World of Make Believe card kit from Paper Makeup Stamps. Since you already saw a card with the Arelia Fairy on it (if you didnt, click HERE), i decided to use the word art for my card today!

Sometimes all you need for a fun card is a good wordart and some fun papers to make layers with. This card came together in NO time! And i was primarily using up some scrap pieces from previous cards i've made with this kit! I distressed my edges (especially on the fabric paper which is the aqua and white polka dot paper) to give it a more antiqued look. I airbrushed inside the nestie to help the wordart pop out a bit. The ribbon (also from the kit) was just used as a little accent. I love the sheer-ness of the ribbon so you can see the details behind it. I also topped the card off with some ready make embellishments by Sassafrass Lass (also in the kit) called Institches blossoms. I LOOOOVE these! They have foam adhesive on the back, are already stitched together with the sewn button on top. Such an easy way to make an extra impact to a card with very little work from yourself!

Be sure to check out what Lisa has done with the kit for today and continue to scroll down to read my Copic Creations challenge post and check out my card using Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps!

Copic Creations Challenge - No 35

Copic Creations has 2 challenges for you every month! This round we have been sponsored by Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps! I just adore Kimmie Reid so i was super stoked to have us sponsor us in this challenge. Please stop by Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps to check out her most recent additions to her line. Then be sure to check out the Copic Creations blog to see the other talented designers cards and also enter yourself in the challenge. The winner will receive 2 Kraftin' Kimmie's stamps!!!

Our challenge for these next 2 weeks is to use shadow colors! The girls have really rocked this challenge, and while i was proud of my card... well... correction, i WAS proud of my card until i saw theirs! They really did an amazing job. I dont think i went "far enough" with the challenge to use the gray value markers for shadows. Alas, here is my card anyway!

Is this sweetie not just hilarious with her little finger up in the air, ready to poke her doll with a pin!

Now i did use the neutral gray markers both around my image and also within my image where there was an absence of light. In real life (look at photos) where there is an absence of light (take for example where a tree branch is in the way of the suns light and your face... you get a shadow. Well that shadow has GRAY VALUE. It's not just a darker color that you skin. So i wanted to use the gray colors in those areas with absent light (the top of the dolls head under her cheek/chin, under and beside the the doll on her dress, under the pockets on her dress (like they were really sticking out), on her bloomers just under her hemline, etc.

I probably could have gone even further... o maybe did more around the entire image. But i'm still pleased with how the overall look turned out.

Now take a peek at the sentiment...
This sentiment is actually NOT a kraftin' kimmie's stamp. It's one i've had forever that i picked up at AC moore to stamp on the envelopes of cards i make for people. I think its just hilarious! But it was just SO appropriate for this card and when else am i going to be able to put it ON the cardfront itself! I just HAD to take advantage!

The Deets
Stamps Kraftin Kimmie's Stamps (Drucilla), sentiment is from Limited Edition RS
Copics Used: N3, N4, N5, N6, YR12, YR16, YR18, YG21, YG25, BV00, BV02, BV04, E00, E21, E31, E02, R27, R25
Paper: XPress It white cardstock, Echo Park Happy Halloween,
Accessories: Ribbon from the stash; Epoxy Brads from Kaisercaft (Sakura park collection)

Have a wonderful day!

PMS sneak peeks day 3 - NEW FAIRIES!

>> Sunday, September 5, 2010

Holy cow, am I ever beat! Too many late nights in a row have caught up to me! Mix that with going downtown tonight with the fam (so fun!) and having to get up early tomorrow to work (makeup)... forgive me if i'm not as chatty as i sometimes am! I know, you're devasted that it wont take you 15 minutes just to read thru my post! hahahah!

Ok... so today the PMS team is peeking all of the single images being released this month.
This include 3 new fairies, 2 new cuties critters, 1 new wordart and 1 other image that actually coordinates with one of the fairies. I love them all so much, i used 2 of the fairies and the coordinating pinwheel stamp!

Let's start with Kat... the pinwheel fairy (named after fellow Paper Makeup Artist Christi Snow's daughter!)

For this card layout i used the sfytt (thats sketch for you to try) from Jen Del Muro of I{heart}2stamp. Jen has such fun sketches and a killer design team that will have you salivating with creative envy... it's sure to get your juices flowing!
My bigges regret on this card is i stamped my sentiment too high (after adhering everything mind you) so it's a little hard to read under the bow.

I colored the image with copics.

Hair: Y21, YR23, E99, "Y20" custom
Skin: E00, E21, E000
Shirt: YR12, YR16, YR18
Dress: R32, R35, R37, G14, R30
Shorts: BG45, BG49, BG01
Grass: G12, G14, G16, G19
Sky: BG10, BG11, "BG100" Custom

I also used a white colored pencil to add in some highlights since i wanted some subtle highlights. I often use a gel pen, but given that this image is colored so brightly as it is, i didnt want to give competition to the eye.
This can be acheived by using a colorless blender, but with the CB you risk pushing some of the color so that you also get a darker line. The white colored pencil avoids that!

This photo just shows off the sentiment a little bit better. This is the freebie sentiment with all purchases made this month while supplies last. :D

My paper on this card (and the next) is by Echo Park (yeah... dont act surprised i know you're not) and it's from the Summertime collection.

Ok... next card...

Meet the Hugging Fairies! I love these girlies so much!

Again, this paper is from Echo Park, summertime.
I love the bright fun colors in the pack! The scalloped border (which i'm just NOW noticing is barely seen!!!) at the top is actually one of the cardstock stickers. I know those paper packs with cardstock stickers can sometimes trip up us stamper folk. Well they need not! This one was a 12 inch long strip but i cut it to fit my card.

The flowers you see on my card are some of my favs! But i just got them from AC moore and pulled them off the floral stems! for like a buck a peice and i FILLED an empty prima jar! Lots of bang for your buck!
Here's a close up of the image.
Now in the PMS design team forum the other day, one of the gals asked what everyone's nemesis was when it came to copics. Well... i didnt want to be like HA, i dont have one! as i toss my hair over my shoulder because that certainly isnt the case! But as i tried to answer i thought, well this is TOUGH! And thats because i like to meet challenges, so it's hard to say there is a nemesis. BUT i will say, i have a hard time breaking out of the box when it comes to colors! I own all the copic colors available and have even created many of my own. So why do i use the same ones over and over? Why are all my colored fairies with the same hair colors? I guess i get comfy in my go to colors. I do this with makeup too. I know what i love, and sometimes it's really hard to break away from it. SO... thats my nemesis!
And because i've figured out what my nemesis is... i'm challenged by it! So i wanted to use DIFFERENT colors than my go to colors. Now of course i wanted to match to the paper so i did do that, but i did still want to branch out. I used different blue greens than i hardly ever do... but the biggest thing for me was hair color. I DEFINITELY have my go to hair colors! And i'm not sure i've ever colored hair quite as brightly as today. But there are indeed some bright red heads out there! So why not?! And truth me told... i LIKED IT!

Here is my list of copics used....
Blonde: Y21, YR23, E97, E99 (i added 97 to keep it warmer like the red head!)
Red Head: YR12, Y15, YR24, YR18 (the YR24 kept it from getting toooo bright)
BG dress: BG45, BG48, BG01; Y32, Y35
Pink Skirt: R30, R32, R35, R37
yellow shirt: Y32, Y35, Y38
WINGS: R00, R0000
(i also usually always color wings in blue tones... why? i dont know... so this time i went pink with an added peach spica pen that is hard to see... but very pretty in real life)
Ok, so i told you it'd be a short post. I lied. What can i say... i like to hear myself type. And i got started talking about colors! I LOVE talking colors!
Ok, so the sentiment on my card is from the same set i showed yesterday called When There's Nothing Left to Say. I love this set so much! What can i say, it's my baby. :D

Ok, so there is a hidden prize on one of the DT's blogs today. Go to the company blog to find out more! Until tomorrow... Have a wonderful day!!!!!

Paper Makeup Stamps Peeks BEGIN!

>> Friday, September 3, 2010

The september release for Paper Makeup Stamps is almost here!!!
Can you wait? I sure cant! Everyday this week there will be new sneaks up on the company blog!
This starts today and you're first way to win is there too... so CHECK IT OUT!

Today's peeks are of the new Makeup Card Kit! I am in LOVE with this card kit! This kit has been in the works for a loooong time (at least it feels like a looooong time) and I have a lot of sentimental attachment to it as well. Aside from the fact that i do sometimes long to have a little girl, and like to live vicariously thru my friends who DO... do you remember one of my cards from the last release where i told you my friend was moving away? Well this kit was named for her daughter. Rachel was one of my first friends i met in South Carolina and she is my all-time enabler! She pushed me to start a craft blog. And she is the one who pushed me the hardest to start me own stamp company. She would send me links to all kinds of places.... here's a place that will press your rubber, here's a place that will engrave your plates. Everyday... why dont you just DO it already? So finally i did!
Then she's the one that says... have a baby, we want to play with a baby! And when i did get pregnant... she was pregnant just a month after! SO we even carried babies in our bellies together! Only SHE is the one with the little girl! HAHAHAHAHAH!

Little Miss Arelia love's her "pretties". Bags... jewelry.... clothes... she is a girlie girl! So girlie that Rachel has started her own jewelry line. You really should check it out!

Ok, sorry, i have gotten off track! Here is my card!

Every bit of this card (minus the tools, inks and liquid pearls) is from this kit!
The fabric paper may just be my favorite! No wait... the rose ribbon.... no the stamps.... no the paper... no.... yeah i cant make up my mind. Good thing i dont have a little girl... can you imagine me trying to get her ready in the morning?!

Here's a close up detail view of some things you may have questions about. You get 12 inches of "rose ribbon" made by American Crafts. You may have seen ribbon like this, they are all the rage! And 12 inches is a perfect amount for you to play around with! Here i've just used a single rosette from the ribbon, but it's super fun using a strip as well! You can also see the fabric paper a little better in the photo. Fabric paper is super easy to run thru your die cutting machine or use punches on. I ran my fingernail along the edges to give it a more worn feel and also inked the edges in distress ink. That brad is also in the kit along with 3 other colors that perfectly coordinate with the paper for a little extra bling!

Well i wont go on and on about what all is IN the kit and not on my card! You can see all of that on the company blog today! And dont forget to check back in for more peekie peeks!!!
Have a wonderful day!!!

2 Sketches 4 You with Paper Makeup Stamps!

>> Monday, August 30, 2010

This week PMS is sponsoring the sketch challenge at 2 sketches 4 you! That means i got to see the sketch early, WOOT WOOT! This week is going to be a mad crazy posting week so I'm very thankful that i got that preview of the sketch! I'm very excited to be sponsoring the 2S4U challenge site because I really admire all the stuff they do there! It's another one of those places I dont get to play along nearly as often as i'd like. And to see their amazing design team use PMS stamps is going to be just awesome! So head on over to the 2S4U blog to see the sketch and to play along yourself. By playing along, you'll be entered to win a fabulous prize of PMS goodness!

Here is my take on Kazan's sketch!
I used Danni and You Make the World stamps with some Echo Park paper from the Walk in the Park collection. The butterfly is also from the EP paper, the backside of that fn cavnasie yellow are different journaling bits, tags and such. The butterfly was by itself on a little patch looking piece and I cut it out so that I could pop it up on the card. My sewing machine, as you can see is working again! YIPPIE! It's still a little finicky and I still want a fancier machine that stitches cool borders (so jealous of you, Ginger!) but hey, i can stitch a card again AND i can do a few MINOR sewing projects i've been wanting to do! here I used orange thread all the way around my card (minus on the sentiment, i was hoping to help make the sentiment stand out a bit by having the thread lead to it) as well as over my ribbon pleating to help give the pleating a little more security.

The Danni image was colored with Copics. This is one of the other images we colored in my Copic Class at Scrapnesia. We were working on blonde toned hair (remember my Moody for Dreams card from last week). Here I used copic colors YR31, Y21, YR23. For the shirt and butterfly it's YR18, YR15, Yr12. Pans are B91, B95 and the grass is G94, G99. I airbrushed around the image with B91 as well and Used B91 in her wings.

Now be sure to go over to the PMS Company Blog (the Paper Makeup Artists have had a lot of fun with this sketch!) as well as the 2 sketches 4 you blog to see some amazing PMS inspiration and of course to play along!

A Paper Crafts Connection challenge for Just Us Girls with Paper Makeup Stamps!

>> Thursday, August 26, 2010

How's that for a subject line, huh?! I was able to get a little crafty with a few challenges for my post today! When my craftin' friends issue challenges... i LOVE to participate. Unfortunately there isnt even enough time to do all the challenges i have planned for myself to do in the week!
So today... i comboe'd! I used Maren's challenge for PaperCrafts Connection to use Pleats on a card (something i dont do enough because i think it's über cute) and my girl Lisa's color challenge for Just Us Girls Challenges to use Hot Pink, Lime and Teal. Here is my outcome!

Ok... so for some reason... my cards are getting washed out when i post to blogger. The pictures are still crisp... but the colors are muted. it's driving me BONKERS! And i cant figure out what in the world the deal is! In person, that is melon mambo for the pink color. And the ribbon, while now stampin up... is just as hot pink if not BRIGHTER! ARGH. Looks like i'll be doing more research today because this is just redonculous! Is it a setting in photoshop when i save or something? It looks great on my computer screen when NOT put into blogger. :( Or is it just my computer? In any case, i'm VERY frustrated!
ETA: apparently it's my computer. And all browsers on my computer, but when i look at my post from my phone, it looks fine. Which is just as aggrevating! But at least i know SOME people see the card correctly! HAHAHA!)

Anyhoo, back to the card!

The stamp is from Friendly Flowers from Paper Makeup Stamps.
I used more of my Echo Park paper from A Walk in the Park. I adore this paper! The cardstock is all stampin up (melon mambo, kiwi kiss and bermuda bay). Flowers are by Prima and bling centers are by Darice.

Ok, thats what i got for ya today! with any luck, i'll be crafting more today (but for sneak peeks for MTME and PMS that will show NEXT week, hehehehe) Have a wonderful day!

I thought of you the otter day...

>> Thursday, August 19, 2010

I love this Otter from the Retro Cuties collection from Paper Makeup Stamps.
I cant believe i havent had a chance to color her up yet!! I mean she was released MONTHS ago!
hahaha! I also used the sketch from last week's sketch challenge on Splitcoast Stampers...

Obviously, it's becoming pretty obvious that my most recent paper obsession is Echo Park! I love love love this paper company! And having gotten to meet them at CHA sealed the deal for me. Very nice people! I love the style of the paper, the bold rich colors without being too much! The current trends in color pairings but not so much that i cant use the papers years from now (HA, like i'll have anything left!)
I colored Olive the Otter using Copic Markers... E37, E35, E33, E30 and R30 for her cheeks.
Her apron i tried my best to match to the paper... Since i was coloring in small spaces, i let the copic colors be further apart so you can see the contrast. R32, R37; BG10, BG45, BG49' G12, G14, G40. I added some pink glitter to the top of my cupcake for just a little bit of special something!

I paired the Otter with her matching sentiment from the Cutie Critter Sayings set.
I stamped the sentiment in versamark ink and then used some Vanilla embossing powder by American Crafts over the top. It have a slight shimmer to it but it's still opaque. VERY pretty!
I should have used an embossing buddy but the added distress print texture to the paper sort of makes it all tie in. :D

You can view more takes on this sketch in the SC293 gallery on splitcoast!

Have a wonderful day!!!

Makeup 4 the Weekend challenge 38

>> Monday, August 16, 2010

Holy cow, i got crafty! And when i say i got crafty... i mean i got CRAFTY! My parents left yesterday ( a bit bummed about that) and my hubby went on a one day fishing trip. Even though i was feeling a bit on the yicky side (ok, the way yicky side, thanks to the REAL pms), i couldnt not take advantage of the opportunity to craft with reckless abandon. So i did get 4 cards done. They took all day, but it's fun when you can just work in bits and pieces all day long. THe hardest part about a day of crafting... is waiting to post all the fun! hahaha!

Ok, today i'm showing you my card for the Makeup 4 the weekend challenge, even though it's no longer the weekend! I did make it on the weekend! hahahah. The great thing about the M4TW challenge is it does not HAVE to be done on the weekend, you have until wednesday each week to get it done. And this week there is FREE RUBBAH being given away! Check out the post to read the details!

So this week, Paper Makeup Artist Bonnie challenged us to use Lime, Turquoise and Kraft on a card with the option of white and/or black as our neutrals. This is not a go to color combo for me, but i'm thinking maybe it should be! I loved working with this palette!

First i picked my papers from the Summertime collection from Echo Park. You know i'm pretty addicted to cloud paper so there was no twisting my arm to pull this out! But i also wanted an idea of where to go next with my card since i was feeling a bit mojoless!
So I took a peek over at the challenges for the week at Splitcoast Stampers. The ways to use it challenge was to use buttons. I have NO shortage of buttons! So i dug thru the neutral jar and found a shiny black one! Perfect! Since looking thru some of my fav cards people have sent me the other day, i knew i wanted to play around with the button inside a bow trick. And the Ways to Use it challenge reminded me! PERFECT! I found some pretty aqua satin ribbon (offray) that matched my papers and went to work fashioning my bow. Yep, i dont think it's perfect, but it's definitely something i'm going to be playing with more and more! I was able to cut my ribbon in half lengthwise to "sew" on my button.

My sentiment is an oldie but goodie from Paper Makeup Stamps called Don't Tell God. I think this is one of the most true sentiments out there! Love it! I stamped it on kfrat cardstock and cut it with the Labels 4 nestabilities die by spellbinders. I used a larger die from the same set to cut my cloud paper. I couldnt find any black pearls in my stash (I KNOW!) so i had to fashion my own! I just took some white pearls, my Copic 100 marker and the airbrush and VIOLA, black pearls! :D

And that's my card for ya today! Have a good one!

The Deets:
Paper: Echo Park, summertime collection; kraft cardstock by neenah
Tools: Labels 4 Nestabilities by Spellbinders
Accessories: Kaisercraft pearls, copic airbrush, offray ribbon, button from stash, memento ink and sponge daubers

PMS sneaks day 2 with a MOJO challenge!

>> Wednesday, August 4, 2010

It's day 2 of the sneak peeks from Paper Makeup Stamps!
Quick reminder (as if you needed it with my picture to the side here!) the release party is THIS saturday at 8pm EST in the PMS forum. This is also when the stamps go live on the site! You dont want to miss it!

The peeks today are of 2 new moodies and 3 new wordarts!
You'll definitely want to go to the company blog to check out everything. Me? well today I went simple with NO coloring! I know! I was shocked too! Seriously?!

Sometimes cards with a sentiment only can be the hardest for me to make. This is because i can't rely on the color to me the focus. Hmmmm... what to do.... I KNOW! The mojo challenge! Julee always has the BEST sketches! Sketches that would never in a million years come to my noggin! You can see the sketch at the right.

As you will see below... i stuck to the sketch pretty literally. Of course there is enough detail that you already envision a pretty card, it's hard to stray away! I did, however, change the scallop circle to an adorable pinwheel. I used to make pinwheels all the time. Well, at CHA you saw pinwheels all over the place! In paper lines, in stamp collections, in embellies. Pinwheels are definitely a hot thing right now!
And so super easy to make! I used some of my yet to be used SummerTime collection from Echo park (LOVE this paper company!) for all layers of my card. How ironic... the cloud paper (you know i'm completely smitten with clouds) is my favorite from the entire pack, and you can barely tell they are clouds behind my layers!

Speaking of layers... i know there is a lot going on with my card since i chose such bright and bold papers. I didnt want to weigh it down with more layers for mats but at the same time, i just plain doesnt feel like a card is finished without mats! SO, i opted to sponge the edges with black ink. it was just enough to ground each layer without adding too much bulk to the card. :D

And that wordart... isnt it delish?! Its one of the new to be released sentiments from Paper Makeup Stamps and i totally adore it!

Aww, fudgaroo, as i type this close to midnight.... i hear not one but BOTH my boys now awake and out of their beds playing. *sigh* no rest for the weary. So i suppose i will wrap this post up. You got all the info anyway.

Check back in tomorrow for another sneak peek from the PMS August Release!!!

A few new fairies for you!

>> Tuesday, August 3, 2010

It's peek week for Paper Makeup Stamps! On the 7th, PMS will be releasing 4 new fairies (as well as other stamps that you can tune in all week to the Company Blog to get some peeks and maybe even see some chances to win some free stamps! Here's your first chance... grab the release button (thats the picture to the left) and post it on your blog. Email me or leave a comment on the PMS blog that you've posted it to your blog and you are entered to win the whole release!

And now onto the peeks! I am showing you 2 of the 4 new fairies!

First, i just HAVE to show you the Tangii fairy, designed for one of my closest friends (how crazy is it that we can have such good friends that live SOOOOO far away and while i talk to Tangii every single day on both the phone and the computer.... i've never ACTUALLY met her.)

I knew i wanted a Tangii fairy for a long time, but i just wasnt sure what she would look like or be doing. Well then i finally got it one day! It just smacked me in the head! Tangii is ALWAYS drinking her Latte's and bragging about her gorgeous SoCal sunshine! So many stamps with coffee or latte's and the like are cold weather stamp. But there are some people... like tangii and like myself who drink Latte's all year round and in any weather! I spoke with Diem (illustrator of the Beautiful Day Fairy line) about my idea and she REALLY did a fantastic job making this fairy PERFECTLY tangii! Check it out...

The papers used on my card are all from the Walk in the Park collection from Echo Park.

I love the sentiment as well. This sentiment will come with the Tangii Fairy. But just think at how it can also stretch the other coffee image stamps you have! My brain has been turning with this one!

Isnt she just the cutest this ever?! I'm telling you, I cant get over it! I colored her with come copic markers (i'm sure you are shocked) and then added some highlights with a white signio gel pen.

Copic Colors Used
Skin: E00, E21, E000
Hair: Y21, YR23, E99
Shirt: BG10, BG23, BG34, BG49, BG75, BG78
Shorts & Shoes: Custom "E23", E25, E27
Wings: Custom "R80", R81, R83, Colorless Blender
Sunglass: R83, N2, N6

Airbrushed with custom color "R80"

But wait... I didnt just make 1 card for today, i made 2!!! I think i was a little excited to be back at home in my OWN CRAFTROOM with MY TOOLS! And all my copics at my disposal!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

This time i used the Carter fairy (he too will be released on August 7th).

He reminds me so much of my son (i know, so you ask why i didnt name him Jack. Well, there is already a Jack fairy. Jack's middle name is Cartwright... so thats where this little guy gets his name! My jack constantly is wearing his halloween costumes. And just when i think i've gotten them put away in the very back of his closet, he comes running out wearing a costume that's usually too small. If it doesnt fit, it's just on as best as it can be!

For my sentiment, i paired it with a sentiment from a PMS set from long ago... Dino Essentials! Many of the sentiments in the set would work, but i just {heart} this one so much!

My papers are all from the new Imaginisce Splash Dance collection.

This image was also colored with copics. i colored him on the new XPress paper that i picked up at CHA. The verdict isnt out for me yet on this paper and if i liked it better than some of the other papers. The colors blend together just fabulously on this paper, but maybe TOOOOO well. I found myself going back in to add my shadow colors as they vanished when blending. The paper is also a bit thinner than what i am used to, but i didnt have any bleeding, which of course is a good thing. I'll have to play a bit more. You'll notice that i used a Colorless Blender to add in some texture. You do need to wait a bit for the paper to dry before this technique works.

Here are the copic colors i used...
Dino: YG11, YG13, YG17; E21, "E23"
Dino Shirt: B91, B95, B97
Pants: E21, "E23", E25, E27
Skin: E00, E21, E000, R20
Hair: E25

Phew... that was a long post! There are lots more fun creations to see over on the PMS blog.
Check it out!
