My Time Made Easy: Spreading Spring Cheer

>> Friday, March 2, 2012

WHEW! Sorry my post is a bit late going up.... my internet was down all afternoon yesterday, BLEH! and I finally gave up at about 12:30. I just couldn't keep my eyes open! Luckily for me, i awoke to that lovely blue light on my router! WOOHOO!

Well, if you didn't already know... the March release for My Time Made Easy is live and available for purchase on the website. Today some of the design team members are showing off more projects using the new templates, papers and digi stamps.

Here is my project just using a part of the template Well Contained. I'm only using the base/holder of the template for this project. View THIS POST to see my project using both pieces of this template.

Here is my project complete together with the candle i purchased for inside. For the record... i don't recommend using paper products as candle holders. This is just as a gift holder. :D

I used paper from the Spreading Spring Cheer printable paper pack. And since i'm not exactly a spring time color person, i used a dark grey card stock as my base. There are some greys in both of these papers chosen (lighter greys than my card stock) but I thought they would play together well and still have a me element in there. I'm hopelessly addicted to grey. haha!

Here is a shot without the candle inside...
I used paper to line the entire inside of the template including the base. I thought this gave a nice pop of color behind the candle and also made it able to serve for another purpose after the candle is removed.
Here is a quick shot of the back. You might notice since I used one of the oval digi stamps from the Round and Round set on the front. Prior to cutting, i actually removed the the oval cut out from the template using my SCAL software, but i still felt like the back was a bit drab in comparison to the bright colors of the front, so I used more of the gorgeous butterfly paper from the pack to also cover the back.

OK... now check out these fine and fabulous ladies and their awesome creations today!

My Time Made Easy: Spring is Here!

>> Thursday, March 1, 2012

Spring is HERE! Well, at least it almost is and it sure feels like it around South Carolina!

Today is the new release day for the latest My Time Made Easy!

Today I'm showing off the new template Round and Round...

I also paired this with the Round Off digi stamp set which has lots of fun oval shapes and different sentiments to perfectly fit inside!

Here's an opened view of my package...
And then one more shot of the package empty.... because Lauren thinks of it all! She made sure to design this template so that it looks completely polished from outside and in! It works great to use double sided printed card stock (either that you create yourself using the pretty printable paper packs or other good quality card stock. Mine here is October Afternoon. Check back tomorrow for some using the newest paper from MTME!

Be sure to check out the entire design team and their amazing creations today!

My Time Made Easy: Well Contained

>> Tuesday, February 28, 2012

First of all.... i'm back with a post for My Time Made Easy! Last month I was on a production set during release time (that sounds so fancy! I was just making doctor's look good for interviews and things that would be shown to hospitals, tradeshows, etc) But I missed out on the release time! So i'm very excited to be back this month AND My Time Made Easy has some awesome new team members!

Check them out!

Mara Campbell http://loveyourmotherearth.blogspot.com
Lori Hairston http://www.lorihairston.blogspot.com
Lori Kalus http://www.afternoons-delight.com
Pattie Goldman http://pattie-g.blogspot.com
Linda Hammerton http://lindyloo6.blogspot.com
Farida Rone http://www.frcreaciones.blogspot.com

And now onto my project to share!

On March 1st there will be 2 new templates releases. This one I am sharing today is so cool and really in 2 templates in 1. And you can choose either piece or put both together (like I did today)
THe template is called Well Contained. It has a box and a holder.

Here's a shot of the template/box taken out of the holder...

I also used the new digi stamp set Spring is Here for my sentiment and butterfly. I hand stamped the swirls on my green cardstock using the acrylic set Fanciful Flourishes (which is available as a digi download set as well).

Now what is INSIDE my template? I joined a new company called itWorks. They have all kinds of body and skin care but their revolutionary thing is these body wraps. They come in a package with the lotion already on the cloth and then you simply apply it (so easy) and wrap yourself either with tight fitting clothing, a towel, saran wrap, etc. And they smooth, tighten and hydrate the skin allowing your body to shrink so to speak. I did it in my tummy and boy oh boy does it WORK! I took off about an inch and a half in my first application. And I'm a small framed person, but did have some extra skin from kiddos. I plan on doing the side/back flabby next! WOOHOO! Oh and the facials (my real reason for joining the team, i wanted to be able to offer them to clients) leaves your skin smooth, hydrated and helps dimish wrinkles AND combat blemishes. WOOHOO! Feel free to check out my site if you are interested. You can find it, HERE. I'm telling you, my skin has never felt this awesome!! And i'm a makeup artist, so i take extremely good care of my skin!

Ok ok ok, back to the project here...

Inside my box, I simply folded and rolled 1 application up. It would make such an awesome gift!! You actually get 4 in a package, so it's 4 gifts. Or you can host a spa party. Give the set I made here as a hostess gift or thank you gift for someone who deserves a little time to themselves.

Now check out these fine and fabulous design team members and what they have to share with you today!

My Time Made Easy: Insert Card Here

>> Wednesday, November 30, 2011

It's a sneak peek of whats to come from My Time Made Easy!

Tomorrow, the new templates, digi stamps and cut files will all be available to order!
Today the design team members are each showing you one of the new templates...
Insert Card Here

This template is so fun, so quick and easy but oh so necessary for your template arsenal!
How often have you gone out to get a gift card for someone?! Perhaps it's last minute and it's your best option. Maybe it's for that oh so difficult to shop for person on your list or maybe it's one of those everyone donates $5 for the gift (like for a teacher) and the easiest way to compile such a gift is to get a gift card! Well this template is exactly what you need!

HOWEVER... you don't need a gift card to make a super fun and cute gift idea with it!
You can create your OWN gift card! Kinda like a coupon or certificate, just cuter!

Here's my fun idea that I plan on giving to my hubby for chirstmas (good thing he pays no attention to what i post here!)

Here the Insert Card Here template, all tied up (it doesn't have to be tied down, but if you don't intend to tie it down, make sure your creases are well done on your insert!
Are you intrigued at what may be inside? Those jail bird details (just strips of black paper I adhered to the template) might give it away...

Hehehehe, i can't wait to see him laugh on christmas morning on this one. He always gets a kick out of the things i make him, but this one is funny too. :D
This is simply the best gift card holder i've found! I plan on using it over and over and over again!
Plus it makes you feel better giving a gift card when you've been creative with the packaging, right?!

Be sure to check out the other design team members today and get more fun ideas for gift giving this holiday season (and year round!)

My Time Made Easy Release Post

>> Tuesday, November 1, 2011

The latest release from My Time Made Easy is now live and ready for purchase on the website!

Today the entire team has put together projects for you to get inspiration from using products from the latest release.

My project is, um.... a little... unconventional? Let's put it this way, have you ever done something for work that you personally are happy with, but you just hope you dont get in trouble? Haha, thats about how i feel with my project. It's not exactly on brand with My Time Made Easy, but i still think it's fun and cute!

Here is my project...

I used the new Cover-Alls template (so cute and perfect to create aprons of all types, or overalls, etc) and turned it into this little lingerie piece! haha! I was inspired by a recent bride who was telling me about how her bridal shower was a lingerie shower! So how fun would it be to package up a gift like this? Or perhaps a naughty little present under the tree for your hubster. I did not just type that. ;)

Here's a few more views...
Inside I tucked some massage oil and some sexy little things that i was NOT going to photograph and then put on my blog!

Here is the template put together and ready to fill...

I wrapped this super fun ribbon i've been hoarding around it to create the trim of the endies and a rhinestone to create a bit of bling for the belly button.

here's a backside view....

I also used one of the new digi stamps available today called Yummy Sentiments for my card...

Yes indeed it is from a cooking/kitchen set. The original design includes a super cute whisk that I took off for the purpose of this project. It would have been even better if i had some body whip to put inside instead of massage oil. but there is time to purchase that before giving. :D

So thats my not so um... modest... project.

Be sure to check out the rest of the team for their awesome creations!

My Time Made Easy: A Year in Review

>> Tuesday, October 4, 2011

So it's the last of our scheduling posting this month for My Time Made Easy, and on the last day each month, we all use templates from the past to remind you of what fun they are!

We are all really focusing on the holidays and gift giving (well, after all most of these template ARE for gift giving!) but as I mentioned in my post the other day, I cant even wrap my head around Halloween yet, so thats about as far as my holidays get at the moment! Haha!!

For those who know me well, know I have a complete obsession with anything pumpkin. And that would definitely include the pumpkin spice latte's from Starbucks!!! They are available now and oh so yummy!!! I remember when Lauren first released her coffee set stamps and templates, the first thing I thought of was the pumpkin spice latte, but alas, somehow there were no pumpkin themed stamps yet from My Time Made Easy (it was the first year and we hadnt made it to the holidays yet!!!)

So NOW, now i can finally make my Pumpkin Spice Latte themed giftie! I used the To Go cup!
To create the large pumpkin, I used the the digi set, A Spooky Surprise. For the smaller pumpkins along the bottom of the template, i used the acrylic version! See, it really is good to have both! And often Lauren sells them in bundles! *wink wink*
I used one of the sentiments from the Grab a Cup sentiments set to stamp along the coffee lid using Staz On ink. So it wont rub off!

So now you think... well this is very cute... but what is a good gift for inside?

What about a starbucks gift card?!
You could of course put all kinds of goodies in there. But seeing all that pumpkin-ie goodness on a coffee cup just makes me want a pumpkin spice latte! I'm gonna guess the gift recipient may feel the say way... and so now... they can! :D

Be sure to check out the rest of the design team today and see what they also have to share!

This month there are 2 new templates being released this month, but i'm just showing you a sneakie peekie of one of them! And of the new digi set that will also be released on Oct 1st!

Here is my project using the Thats a Wrap template!

Don't be fooled by the colors... this doesnt HAVE to be for christmas (though it certainly could be if you are one of those get it done early types!)

I used digi paper from the Fruit Medley paper pack (remember back when there was the jame and jelly release! yum!)

Well thats where i went with this gift idea! Adding in some of my favorite jam recipes....
The box is perfect for handmade cards, photos, notecards, address cards, etc as well as all kinds of other things! I just wanted to note how perfect it is for size of these things!
This makes a wonderful gift that is very little out of pocket money!!!

Here's another shot of the template when closed...
I just love how it wraps up! So pretty!
And see the tag in this photo? Thats from the new Well Rounded digi stamp set that is also being released on Oct 1st. Trust me, it will have your gift giving craftiness raring to go!

My Time Made Easy: Preview, It's in the Bag

>> Sunday, July 31, 2011

W.H.E.W.

What a long a cuh-razy summer this has been?! I honestly am not sure i've ever been so busy in my life! haha! Wedding season is in full force around these parts. Somewhat thankfully, august slows down a bit for a bit pick up in september and october (such pretty months here so there are a LOT of weddings, august is just toooo hot!!)

Since i havent posted in a bit... a quick recap, aside from meeting with brides and some other fun photoshoots because many models around here have the time now since they are not in school right now whether it be high school or college, we are at the pool and just living up the days of summer! The boys are growing up SO fast and now both are pretty adept swimmers, even Gabe who will be 3 in September. Jack has discovered he can jump off the diving board and swim to the side without any help. It's been a lot of fun!

And speaking of Jack, this upcoming school year he will be in kindergarten! I cant believe he's 5 and starting SCHOOL! It really just seems like yesterday that he was born, and then we packed our bags and moved to South Carolina. Such an amazing road life has lead me down!
And you know what jack is the most anxious for?! Shopping for a backpack! He asks me about everyday... is today when i get my new back pack?

So when Lauren showed the design team her plans for the template this month (called It's In the Bag)... oh I just KNEW jack would love it!!!! In fact, he already spied my little gifty and now wants to make his own! haha!

Here is my version for the Jackinator!

I am also loving the digi stamp set Lauren is releasing this month called Back to School.
Isnt that little boy just the cutest!!! Of course i colored him up to look like Jack. :D There are also 2 school girls in the set, that if you check out the other design team members blogs today, i'm sure you're bound to see them. :D The sentiment used on the backpack is also from the Back to School set. But wait, that not all, I also used some of the new pretty printable patterned paper that is available this month!

To really make this backpack look true to life, there are even adorable paper straps!!!
Now note... most would put the pocket (also with the template) on the FRONT of the backpack. Since I really wanted to show off some stamps from the new stamp set, i left those solo on the front. I also remember having a penchant for pockets and secret places for things as a kid and one of my favorite backpacks did in deed have a pocket on the back that others couldnt see. So i decided to put my pocket there!

Now i'm sure the rest of the team will have projects that will simply blow your mind!
I'm pretty sure that Lauren's post will include a super adorable girly version of this back pack (since i've seen it already in the directions, hehe)

Just in case you dont have the design teams blogs on speed dial... here they are again!

My Time Made Easy Year in Review

>> Sunday, June 5, 2011

Today is the year in review blog hop from the My Time Made Easy design team!
Each design team member is taking a past template and past stamps to create a gift package to give you new and fun ideas to use the templates you've already purchased!

I'm super excited about this project because i'm really pleased with how it came together and how quickly! Believe it or not, yesterday I had a wedding and a long bridal consult (it may have hit my record books as the longest consult at 3 hours, but at least they were nice people!) and then a bridal portrait this morning at 6:15, followed by 2 weddings and I have a wedding tomorrow morning. So yeah, saying I'm short on time might be an understatement these days!
So that is a PERFECT example of how awesome these templates are!
What if I had a birthday party to attend tomorrow, or knew I'd see someone at church that I wanted to give a little gift to. And then i'm thinking... craaaaap, when do i have the time?
This is when the drive by the grocery store to pick up the itunes gift card happens, right?
Well, what if you dont want to do a gift card, or you need something more personal.
Well I had previously bought my gift for inside, so that was one step down, but this project seriously came together so fast and so easy!

It a gift set for your favorite pooch! See, dogs have no use for itunes gift cards!

Now I will admit my original intent was for the shampoo to fit inside, but while it fit, everything got a bit smushed, so i've left it out for the pictures so you can see better. :D

This is the Keep It template which was actually created for all kinds of storage and it has all kinds of neat compartment mix and match ideas! I left out the drawer for the bottom because I was afraid the shampoo bottle might be a little heavy for it.

Here's a photo with everything taken out. :D

And one more of it just by its

Also used on my project are stamps from the On Display set (the doggie) and the Sign it set (paw prints and sentiment)

And one more close up because I got a little camera happy....

Be sure to check out the rest of the My Time Made Easy design team and their projects for you today!!!!

MTME: A Year in Review

>> Thursday, May 5, 2011

Sorry for the brief post, but with a 2.5 year old that will NOT go to sleep and it' already after midnight... well... for the mom's reading this post, you feel my pain!

Today the My Time Made Easy team is recapping some of our favorite templates and stamps of the past. I'm cheating a little bit and using current stamps with an older template! :D

Here's my Baby Buggy Bee Bouncer!

Now here's what i'm most excited about... what I stamped to put INSIDE the baby buggy!!!

These just make me want to have another baby! ALmost... and then i remember my 2 year old running around the house at near 1 am! ANd i change my mind!

Ok, back to the onesies... these can easily be taylored to boys or girls. I used the new Bee Mine stamp set. Inked up in memento ink and then colored with copic markers.

Now be sure to check out the rest of the design team from My Time Made Easy as everyone has something fun to share today!

My Time Made Easy : Let's Chat

>> Saturday, April 2, 2011

Today I have another project with you using My Time Made Easy!

For my project today I combo'ed one of the newest releases from MTME with some tried and true favorites!

This is the Card Catch All along with the Card Catch All Add On using the Keep it Organized stamp set. You could not ask for a better stamp set for this template!

Here's a photo of the template by itself...

You'll also see that I used the Keep it Organized stamp set to create index cards as well as the file tabs to keep it all organized! Since I had the extra space in the back, I created some extra files tabs for other used spaces like receipts and coupons, stamps that are also int he Keep it Organized stamp set.

Then the project just didnt seem finished without a card to go with it!
So i made this fun little phone inspired card to match using the On Display stamp set.

Now go check out Lauren and Lisa's blog for more great inspiration!!!

My Time Made Easy Group Share: Keep It Organized

>> Friday, April 1, 2011

And I'm back with another project from My Time Made Easy!

Right now the My Time Made Easy release is LIVE on the site and ready for purchase!!!
You can check it all out HERE.

Today the MTME design team is showing off an EXTREMELY versatile template called Keep It Organized. Here's a peek of what my immediate thought was when I found out one of the templates this month would be called keep it organized!!!!

Ok, so the above picture may seem random... but i keep EVERYTHING! It drives my husband nuts. I'm pretty sure it drove my mom nuts growing up. I just find sentimental value to silly things. And I keep them all! In little boxes here and there. And i'm going to guess since many of the readers of my blog are scrapbookers... there are at least a few of you out there that do the same thing!

In the picture above is a ticket to a band my husband and I saw one. Not even an important date, just kept the ticket anyway. The hotel key from our first getaway to Vegas. A picture of my hubby on the film set that we first "met" or at least got to know each other. A penny with an angel cut out of it that someone gave to me. The inserts to the bracelets i wore in the hospital when i had my boys. A fun ring i've just always liked and a medal i won i think in highschool. hahahaha. RANDOM! :D But oh so special. And how about that sentiment timeless treasures?! Perfect huh? It's from the Sign It stamp set. ;)

Well this new and fabulous template is perfect for storing all kinds of goodies in all different sizes. here's a view of the whole template, still packed with mementos. :D

You actually can't even see more of the stuff in there. All taken out of a random big box... this is such a prettier way to keep things! And i nicer way to see them and go thru them if you'd wish. :D The far back pocket is perfect to store 4x6 pictures as you can see and I have quite a few of in them in there. The middle pocket is where i did have my ticket stub, hotel key, along with a note someone had written me once that meant alot, some other ticket stubs and the like and also some foreign money left over from a trip.
And then the bottom drawer is filled with the things that are best tucked away and smaller. You can also see i drapped a necklace over the top. Jewelry fits perfectly in the bottle drawer, but if it's something special like this one (my friend Rachel made it, check out here other jewelry HERE), or if it's something you wear often so you want easier access, this drapping action is the perfect way to go!

But perhaps you'd like to see what the template looks like without so much "stuff" in it. :D
Well alright then!

The paper I used is from the new Fresh Cut Expressions Collection 1 pretty paper pack which is a digital paper pack. You buy and then just print the sheets you need as you need them! it's genius really!!!

I also used the Occasional Labels stamp set as well as the Occasional Label cut file.

Now be sure to check out the entire design team as everyone has a fantastic project to share with you today using this set! You are bound to see so many different ways to use it that it will boggle your mind!!! Have fun checking them all out!!!
