I can't resist a cute snowman! This stamp is called, "Snowperson with Wreath"! He is also the 50% OFF stamp of the month! The BG texture was created using the Winter Chill embossing folder. Sugar Paste makes the Snowflake Reverse Die cuts sparkle!

The scarf, pocket and bow were stamped twice, colored and then fussy cut. They have silicone under them to hold their dimension. For extra texture I tied black thread to the end of the scarf.

Have Yourself was stamped in olive green on the inside of the card.

Frosty is shakin' things up!
Who doesn't love a snowman and a shaker card?

LET IT SNOW was stamped onto my layer of Neenah and then colored.
The red scolloped die cut from the ALL-IN-ONE CIRCLES was used to trace a circle.
A circle die cut that was slightly larger than my pencil-mark was used to make the cut.

Make another layer of Neenah the same size. Use the Let it Snow layer as a template and lightly trace the circle.

The SNOWMAN CIRCLE image was stamped in the center.

This layer is now ready for embossing!
Add the red scalloped circle die cut onto the front layer.

On the backside of the embossed layer, tape down a piece of acetate that covers the die cut hole completely.
Next, build a well around the circle with foam tape.
Add your sequins, beads, or whatever you are using as your shakers next.
Your stamped snowman layer is ready to be added. Match up your layers making sure that frosty will be showing right side up!

IO~ A Little More Winter Chill!

Just For Fun!
I have a little more "winter chill" to share today...this makes it all worth being cold! Wanna play with snowballs? Is this stamp set too cute, or what?!

I have used Impression Obsession, "Let it Snow" stamp set for the snowmen. I love the one face down on the hill, it looks like playing with snowballs has just worn him out!

From the top view you can see more IO goodies! The Evergreen Tree Dies have a dusting of Viva Glitter in Holo Iridescent. "Let it snow" has been stamped from their Clear Set Snow. The set comes with six different snow related sayings.

Here is from one of my favorites this season...The Frozen Collection!

IO HOLIDAY CARDS

It's the most wonderful time of the year!
And it's Friday...Yay!

This snowman from Impression Obsession is decked out for the holidays! I love his santa hat and paper pieced scarf. With the Snowman Set you have the option of two different hats. Add your creative flair and have fun designing your own little guy! The background is dry embossed with a snowflake pattern. A few snowy hills, bows and a banner made from the Holiday Bottom Word Edgers complete the card.

Another easy card made with Impression Obsession dies. I started out using the Snowflake Background. A beautiful die by itself but I just kept going! I dry embossed the Christmas Trees instead of having the cut outs. A big red circle was added to break up the busy patterns! The trees and circle were edged in silver with a Krylon pen.

For the inside I have used the beautiful, "Seasons Greetings" die, which cuts like butter! The snowflakes were cut from the Snowflake Background die.

Thanks for looking and Happy Holidays!

"Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!"

I just smile when I look at this guy, he is just too cute! Snowmen are a favorite of mine and Serendipity has some really great images to ink up! The Snowman and Fence has been inked up and colored with Copics. I have stamped his scarf and hat trim with Memento onto a pattern dp and then fussy cut. There are lots of different snow textures going on here! Clear Wink of Stella was brushed on first, of course, my favorite! Next, I used touches of the Snow Marker which was puffed up with the heat gun! I added more sparkly snow with the Viva Glitter Liner, Holo Iridescent. Transparent Gloss Gel shines on his nose and his coal has been highlighted with Viva Gloss Gel in black.

Where there is snow there is cold! And "Baby it's Cold Outside"!

Good thru 11-13

Here's the links to see how the DT used their scraps!

Karen Amidon...that's me!

Everyone has leftovers! This is such a great way to use up those scraps!  The sweet Snowman with Birds stamp was colored with Copics. A little dusting of iridescent glitter was added to his body. The scarf is adorned with tassels made from embroidery thread.

The "Joy is Everywhere" sentiment has such a beautiful script. It also would be fabulous to use on the front of a card.
Finished size is A-2

Basket Weaving with Scraps!

On my second card the technique I used with my scraps was basket weaving. Basically each strip is woven over and under...just like making those pot holders!

Foam tape was used on all the strips that ran horizontally (weft) to give it a nice contour. The Wheat Sheaf image was stamped with Rich Cocoa and left natural.

Inside the "November" month stamp was used from the beautiful Illustrated Months Cling Set. The individual months can also be purchased separately.
The bottom woven edge was a left over cut from the front!
Finished size is 5 1/4 x 5

Looking forward to seeing your designs with paper scraps!
Thanks and love to hear your comments
