Thanks For Your Kindness

Good Morning! How is your week going? My week is full of some ups and downs but crafting has helped with some of the down moments.

Over at 4 Crafty Chicks our one and only Nance is our wonderful hostess this week.

Challenge #376 - Give Thanks

Love this challenge because it always makes me take just a little extra time to think about everything that I am grateful for. Today, I am grateful for little moments of clarity to help solve struggles we are going through. Nothing like a cup of java or tea to help you think and process life. It snowed here and it was sunny, so I tried to create my space where I was sitting. Such an awesome stamp.

Above I wanted to show my dazzling diamonds for the snow, looking out my window.  My walls are green and the sun was shining beautifully out the window. It was so quiet. Copic Markers were used to color the image which is from Your Next Stamp. The sentiment is from Verve and the paper/punches are all from Stampin' Up. Enamel dots are also from Your Next Stamp.

Thank you so much for joining me; hope to see you again.

Dance As If .....

Happy Thursday! 4 Crafty Chicks has a brand new challenge for you. Leanne is our wonderful hostess and has a super fun Challenge for you. Welcome to our new Guest Designer Caroline from Caroline's Scrapfun for the month of July.
Challenge #358 - Stamping - NO DIGI's

This challenge was so much fun. I broke out two retired stamp sets, one from Stampin Up and one from Verve. I used Green and Chocolate brown ink. I used circle punches, a D'vine Swirl by cuttlebug and two unbranded dies. The pattern paper is unknown. The layout of this card is an old Mojo Monday Sketches.

Come on over and join us for this fun challenge of breaking out your stamps.

Thanks for joining for my second post today!

With Sympathy

Good morning! We saw a bit snow the last night and the temperature has dropped from the gorgeous temps last week. However, we know that spring will be coming and a month or two. We enjoyed a fun night last night watching our daughter play basketball. It is hard to believe that their basketball season is just about over.

Lori is our hostess this week at 4 Crafty Chicks and she is asking you all to break out your STENCILS FOR CHALLENGE #339. My fellow DT's have amazing inspiration for you too.

The card above was made for our family friends who lost their son suddenly on Thanksgiving weekend in October. I never seem to have these type of cards made up ahead of time and well they are never easy to make. The stencil I used is one I bought at Walmart and then broke out my Stampin Up inks. The stamp and sentiment are from Verve one of my favorite sets. Although tons of people make beautiful creations with stencils, I always thought I would mess it up somehow. A truly wonderful challenge for me. Thanks, Lori.

I would love to enter my card into the following challenges:
Artistic Inspiration Challenge Blog - Challenge #173 - Anything Goes
Crafting from the Heart - Challenge #147 - Anything Goes

Thank you so much for popping in and sharing my newest make with me. Thank you for all of your comments too.

Recipe:
Stamp: Verve
Paper: Whisper White and Basic Black
Ink: Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze, Memento: Tuxedo Black.
Accessories: Stencil, daubers

Help Comes From The Lord.

Welcome back to my blog. Today's inspiration is made for 4 Crafty Chicks.  Our wonderful multi talented hostess is Tina.  For Challenge #284 Tina would like us to break out our BLING.

My design is made with all Stampin Up paper, memento ink, verve stamp, My Favorite Things die and Stampin Up Die.  I found this flourish pearls and it gorgeous and thought it would look very nice on here.  Sadly I realized that the sticky stuff on these pearls gets old and they don't stick.  There was much time picking pearls off or trying to glue them back in place.  Moral of my story.  Use them before they get too old and don't stick any more.

Please come on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and show us your BLING.

Thanks for sharing my latest work with me.

Happy Anniversary!!

Welcome to my blog from small town Millet, Alberta.  As I am typing this the sky is a beautiful blue and it is breezy. The sun is getting ready to set but a very nice fall night. It is hard to believe that we have already welcomed in fall and that September doesn't have many days left in it.  My excitement for today is that I get to watch my daughters first volleyball game of the year and she already has a tournament this weekend. So awesome. Let the games begin :) .

Today is a brand new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks and our hostess is our beautiful chick Lori.  For Challenge #265 she would like us to use Sparkle and Shine.  My card above has sparkley or shiny paper.  I also used dazzling diamonds and my Wink of Stella.  The brown paper is very shiny and sparkly.  The flourish of pearls was my touch of bling. My layout is very simple but I wanted to highlight this stamp.

Please hop on over to our 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge Blog.  I would love to see you amazing creations. My fellow teamies have amazing creations to share with you.

Thank you so much for taking a peak and leaving comments for me.  I truly appreciate them.

Seaside Girls

Helloooooooo, out there!!! Today, was one of those days, that I thought would be productive craft wise...but between the phone and trying to get cookies made for school, an early supper and laundry done...well...crafting just had to wait:( I am however very proud of myself that it isn't Midnight or 1am....LOL. Right now it is 10:23 pm and I should be in bed at a decent time...LOL. My day tomorrow will start early. Besides my three kids I will have 4 others before school, so I will have to make quite a bit of breakfast. I then have my little guy that I look after coming over after I get everyone off to school. It will sure be a busy day. I sure did enjoy my holidays though but am ready for everyone to head back to school and routine.

Now on to crafting business....some of the most important business:) I was blog surfing today and found two new challenges. The Curtain Call Color Challenge, I found on my friend Melissa's Blog. In the last few days I was blog surfing and finding a whole whack load of cool new challenge blogs to try. I do look forward to trying them all. The second one I found was from 365 Cards- Super Sunday Sketch. Both of the challenges seemed interesting and something that I could put together quickly. It was also very cool to see how many talented crafters their are out here in blogger land. I saw some really amazing blogs and keep adding to my already long list *wink*.

This is my take on both of these wonderful challenges.
The girls are so adorable!!! I thought they were perfect for this challenge.

I just noticed that the brads don't look as dark as they should. Sorry it must be from the light reflecting on the table.
Recipe:
Stamps: Seaside Sketches (SU), Verve Stamp
Paper: Always Artichoke, Old Olive, Going Grey, Whisper White and Cottage Wall DSP
Ink: Stazon Black Ink
Accessories: Markers (SU), Always Artichocke Brads, Ticket corner punch and a Martha Stewart punch, sponge daubers.

Wishing you all a great night ahead of you if your still up, if your not peacefule nights sleep.

Thanks for stopping bye.
Til next time- I hope your day makes you smile.

Happiness....

Good evening my fellow crafters!!!
This has been an amazing week so far. I was given the honor yesterday of being one of the Top #5 cards for Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combo #26. Over the moon is what I was. My husband said to me "what is the matter with you, you are jumping around like you won the lottery...LOL" and I was doing my happy dance...LOL. Thank you so much for the honor. Another reason to be in a wonderful mood today was that my Verve stamps came in the mail today *WOOT, WOOT*. What a great day a great color challenge and some really cool stamps.

Now on to this weeks fabulous color challenge. I started it on Monday but discovered, that I don't own any Kraft paper....can you believe it. So I immediately got on the phone and called my mom and asked her if she had some. As all mom's usually do....She had a stash of it....LOL. My mom gave me some yesterday so I was off and running. Thank you so much mom for helping me complete this challenge. Love ya tons.

I wasn't sure if I could use white, as a result I went through several idea's before I settled on this one.

This is what I came up with:

I just realized that my middle layers don't show up well but each color is showing all the way around on my card. It must have been the angle of my camera. Sorry about that.

Recipe:
Stamps: Happiness Found (Verve)
Paper: Brocade Blue, Kraft, Bashful Blue (all SU)
Ink: Brocade Blue
Accessories: dimensionals, perfectly paisley folder (cuttlebug), corner rounder punch, pearls.

Wishing you all a wonderful night and a good day of crafting. Thanks again Scrapmaster's Paradise.

Til next time, share a smile with someone and remember Happiness is found. :) :)

Richly Blessed

Good evening everyone. Today has been a wonderful day. It has finally started snowing here in my neck of the woods. It is starting to feel a lot like Christmas outside. This morning I thought I would check out the Mojo Monday Challenge and boy was I excited about what I saw. The circles I knew would be a real challenge for me. No spellbinders for this girl yet...but they are on my Wish List...LOL.

How did I make my circles? Well I took out three different sized cups and traced them. Although I don't have scallops, which I would have loved, I think this card turned out to be pretty effective.

The Mojo Monday Challenge design is below my card, next time I will try to switch them around. Thanks Mojo Monday for a fanastic opporunity.

Recipe:
Stamps: Thankful Blossoms (Verve)
Paper: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, Whisper White, Cottage Wall DSP
Ink: Black
Accessories: Markers (SU), gems, Paper peicer and dimensionals, 3 different sized glass cups.

Wishing you all a terrific day tomorrow. Until next time continue to smile.
