Just Because

Good morning blogger land!
Today we are having mild weather again.
It is melting snow and a wonderful break
from the -36 temperatures.
It has been a while since a new card has been posted.
Our family has grown some.
Our son and his fiancé had identical twin girls
on New Years Day! They surprised us
and came very early.
We have only met them through FaceTime but we look
forward to getting to know them in person when they are
out of the NICU!
Our lives are truly brighter with our granddaughters and grandson.
Being a grandparent is just the best.

So today, we have a brand new challenge
and a brand new sponsor

Christmas Gnomes

Good, good morning!

The weather has been a tad crazy here. We have
had freezing rain several times this winter season.
Wednesday was no exception...the roads were
like looking into a mirror.
You know it is bad when semi-truck after semi-truck is stopped
on the side of the road or only going 20km.
Let's pray that it doesn't rain again today.
An early morning appointment that is a must to get too.
Our son Tristan has been dealing with so much
his truck was stolen while he was away working on a 24 days on shift.
So many frustrations dealing it and so much other stuff stolen from it.
Not to mention the damage to the outside and inside.
It is totally disgusting inside and heart breaking for him.
It makes  me so disappointment in people.
He worked so hard for his truck and looks after his
stuff.
I pray this week is a better one for everyone in the world.

Today, we have a fantastic new challenge up

Challenge #431 - Time To Be Merry

this fabulous image called Christmas Gnomes

I simply just love Gnomes.
For some reason they just bring my heart so much joy.

Each image is just calling to be used.
The above card, I chose to used the Gnome holding the tree.
It reminded me of my dad
and how much fun he had putting up the Christmas tree.
It brings me the spirit of joyousness.
He loved the stars and everything about Christmas.

It was so much fun to color up the image using my Copic Markers.
The Stitched Star is from Gina Marie Designs.
The embossing folder is from Cuttlebug.
The pattern paper and paper are from Stampin' Up
Pop-ups were also used.

You're My Anchor

Good morning! Welcome to my blog.
This past weekend we celebrated Thanksgiving
with most of our children and grandson.
We missed our oldest son Tristan
but look forward too seeing him soon.
COVID sure has messed things up again this year
for having a large family gathering.
I am grateful for waking up everyday
and each and every moment,
I get to experience, in this life.
Thank you all for joining me
and sharing in my creations.

We have a brand new challenge over at
For challenge #423
Embossing Delight- feature heat or dry embossing on your creations

Prize: $25 Close to my Heart - Surprise Package

The card above was colored using Copic Markers.
The dry embossing was done using folders by Cuttlebug.
The sun, bird dies, cloud and hill are from Gina Marie Designs.
The paper and stamp set are from Stampin' Up.

It was fun to change up the color of this card
to a vivid warm color. It changes up the actual
color of the papers. Kind of softens it.

We would love to see you over at Creative Knockouts
for this brand new challenge.
My fellow DT's have awesome inspiration to you.

Giant Mushroom

Good morning bloggerland :)
I am wishing you a very happy Thursday!
Well we had a bit of a productive week.
We celebrated our 24th Anniversary and planted a garden.

Let me just say he did an amazing job too.
He has a green thumb as he has managed to
grow pineapples in our house here in Alberta.

Happy Birthday Beautiful Friend

 Good morning my friends,
The world right now is such a different place.
I have been spending time going through
my mom's pictures and am also
hoping to get my new space for crafting painted
and moved into.
Missing my dad as well as we are not allowed to
see him in the home he lives in.

Crafting is a great thing to do to relax.
My card for you today is made
Just Sayin' Stamps and the heart die from In My Heart
I cut out the hearts and glued them down.
Then I stamped in each heart
with the sentiment that I wanted.
The curve for in front of the word friend
is actually from the letter "m" at the being of that sentiment.
Thought I would try that and it turned out really
good and was super easy to do with
The Project Bin Stamps.
card making, hand made cards, hand stamped cards, clear stamps, photopolymer stamps, theprojectbin.com, sentiments, birthday cards, card ideas, dog stamps, cat stamps, thank you stamps
My final step was to run the layers
through an embossing folder for texture.
Added some bling of pearls for a little bit of a pop
and it turned out really good.

Be sure to stop by the blog each weekday for some more
inspiration using these spectacular stamps
from my fellow Design Teammates.

Hoping this finds you all well and safe.
Thank you for joining me today.

but it could be soooo much colder.
How was your weekend?

Guess the business is preparing us
for when she leaves home, what it will be like.

(sorry couldn't capture it with my camera, it does look cute)

Memento Ink was used to stamp the words and images.

It took me a bit to figure out this design as it was different
in my head then what it actually looks like.
Do you ever have that happen?
