Good day friends, today's amazing sketch was created by monika..I luv it! I have used it with watercolor splotches and I luv how it turned out. The dainel smith watercolors are so vibrant and pretty. I grew up on camping and luv it! Can you image camping all across the world, what fun that would be! I was inspired by that thought, I have used pre cut images and a watercolor background for my card. The sentiment is a sticker from tim holtz; I luv his sticker sentiments, so fun and versatile. hello friends, if you want to read why I have been absent for a bit, scroll down further to next paragraph. this is my card for this weeks inspired by challenge...I had such fun with this weeks card. I have used some ink splatter, some fun patterned papers and die cut hearts, one of which has been watercolored. the sticker is from tim holtz.

my father passed away unexpectedly and in an instant after a day of fishing on may 7...his favorite past time especially since losing my mom five years ago. it was a shock to us, but he really did get a first class ticket; he died doing what he loved and never knew he left the world! to be parentless is the greatest feeling of emptiness I have ever felt in my life....it is the kind of heartache you can feel in your bones. I will miss them greatly, but I have made it a priority to keep them alive in truth and honor! I anxiously await what the Lord has for me and my hubs, this is a BIG transition and I feel changes coming! always make the most of everyday, life has no guarantees!  

sunday stamps - birthday wishes

I am luvin these greens together and I really did start my card with the darker greens in mind. of course it ended up with the aqua's in there...*grin*. I have used my all time favorite daniel smith watercolor ink that I have...I know there are hundreds of colors. But, this one is by far my favorite of what I have, it is called quinacridone oceanic...it is the only color in the background; but look how many different colors emerge...luv it! I have used a simon says stamp floral set, even more spring flowers and the birthday wishes sentiment from the set called birthday bits. I cannot wait to see how you use this weeks colors...happy sunday!

happy friday friends, what a fun sketch we have for you to work with this week. I luv how you can make a fun little collage of elements for the main focus. I used tim holtz distress inks and created a watercolor splash background, then added embossing paste using a star stencil...luv the look! A piece of designer paper, twine, a few enamel stars, and a glittery star die cut make for a fun card! Be sure to stop by the rest of the teams blogs and see how they have used this weeks sketch!

I am luvin this weeks inspired by pic, so cozy and so many fun layers. I went with the colors and the patterns in the pillows, and of course some layers. I fist ink stenciled the diamond pattern, the added a watercolor splash, ink splatter, and all of my fun elements. the flower is from the stamp market, a cute glittery heart and some enamel dots. I had a blast with this weeks challenge, I cannot wait to see what you create!

happy birthday simon says stamp! I adore so many of the simon says stamp flower stamps and dies, but this stand along rose die is amazing. I colored a piece of watercolor paper with tim holtz watercolor inks and then cut out the flowers and leaves, I added stickles and then arranged them on my card. The base of the card has a watercolor splash background, I stamped the birthday sentiment and then cut it out with stitched rectangle dies from lil 'inker. I added simon says stamp clear sequins to complete my card. I cannot wait to see what you create!

hello friends and happy friday....I luv friday's, don;t you? I had such fun with this card, adding a few layers with embossing paste, washi tape, and designer paper. I faux watercolored the flowers....stamp on watercolor paper with distress inks and then spritz with water. It really is a quick and easy way to get a watercolor affect. I added the cut out sentiment and a few enamel dots and enamel hearts. I hope you play along with us and have a wonderful weekend!
