It wouldn't be World Card Making Day unless I played along in a couple of challenges, now would it?  My world card making day card is not want I would like for it to be.  I have been working a lot and I went away for the weekend;  I felt very rushed, so I did not meet my standards on today's card...lol.  I adore the new stamps that Julee released for World Card making Day, so sweet.  I have used the adorable scroll pattern at the bottom and one of the sentiment stamps.  Be sure to check out the new release at the Verve Store.

Super Simple and Sweet

I have created this super simple card, using the latest sketch from Clean & Simple Sketch Blog, TFL110.  There is something to be said about super simple, although I adore the details too!  I hope your day is great....the dh and I took a wonderful motorcycle ride...so gorgeous today!  I am super busy this weekend and heading into next week...did I tell you Verve is having a release this coming Friday, can you believe it?  It will be here before you know it....it is surely one you don't want to miss!  There is also a Verve release scheduled for October 29...double the goodness this month...yippie!  This is also for the challenges over at SCS celebrating World Card Making Day.  This one is to use brown with pink, HYCCT02C.

Wow, I have been really taking advantage of World Card making Day, this is my seventh card since last night. This is for WCMD09D, to use Beate's Weekend Sketch WSC100, to make a thank you card, and to use Chocolate. I have had a great time playing along with all of these challenges. I used Verve Artful Elegance, I colored in the diamonds, added bling to the center of the scrolls, I added chocolate ribbon and a button. I hope you have enjoyed World Card Making Day! World Card Making Day-Card 4

I created this for today's FS139, Lois; be sure to check out her fabulous gallery. You could combine one of the World Card Making Day Challenges and get in on all the fun. I also used the WCMB09J challenge to use the colors chocolate chip, pumpkin pie, and vanilla. This color combo is fantastic, i ad to use the wide SU pumpkin ribbon, I luv that wide ribbon. I used SU Heartfelt Sympathy sentiment and Verve stamps sets Bountiful Backgrounds, Meditations, and Thankful Blossoms. I added glitter to the outside flower petals, it looks kinda of funny in the photo, but it really is pretty. I used a heavy duty vanilla watercolor paper and you can see all the texture. Enjoy your day!

Here is another card for World Card Making Day, if you need a challenge you can find them today, SCS has lots of them here. This card is for WCMD09A, to use a Quote and for WCMD09B to make it pop. This is also for today's IC200 and I chose the water bottle and the pop is the added orange in my card. This is also for Mercy's sketch challenge MTSC41 . the verse is a quote from the Verve set Forever In Our Hearts. The card stock is Prism, the dp is Cosmo Cricket. World Card Making Day-Verve Challenge Card 1

Happy World Card Making Day! I have been away from home most of the day and have not been able to play in all the challenges. I do want to share the Verve challenge that is over at SCS, you can read all about it here. Michelle is your hostess and she has chosen world flags to inspire you. You pick the flag and make a card based on that. I chose the flag from Botswana, it is a gorgeous blue, black, and white. I also looked up the country of Botswana and found that it borders South Africa and that it is a little smaller than Texas, to read more about it you can go here. It was a history lesson too....lol. I used the Verve stamp Starstruck, the dp is from SU Day & Night. I added ribbon, glitter, and a eyelet to finish it off.
