COOL Fan

I wanted to share my project for the Verve Project Parade, the theme is Sizzlin Summer Fun. I made a hand fan/church fan, which was my dh's idea.  He is so very creative and really does enjoy my creating and helping me(ideas and praise).....I luv that!  I used a Lowe's paint stick for the handle, painted it and sanded it a little.  I used the Verve flowers from the set One Person.  The COOL sentiment is from the set Happy Days This would be perfect to take to ball games(cow bell attached....lol), lawn parties, and cook outs.  I hope that you will make a project for the Verve Project Parade, you could win FREE Verve.  Make something and upload to this post.   Also, don't forget to leave a comment on each of the divas projects for another chance at winning.  You can see a close and the back of the fan here.  Enjoy your weekend!

Verve Project Parade-Day 6

This is my project for the Verve project parade, the them is "Flowers".  I have been wanting to make one of these paper wallets, the tutorial is from SCS.  Of course I had girly in mind, but wow it really turned out girly with lots of bling.  If you have not tried one of these you should, it was super easy to make.  I used the very beautiful and elegant flower from the Easter Joy set.
I heat embossed the flowers, cut them out, and added a clear gemstone to the centers.  To see the inside head over to the Verve Blog and be sure to leave a comment on the Verve Blog, you could win FREE Verve!  The inside shows the sides and the color of pink Bazzil card stock I started with.  Once you add a tiny bit of sponging, the versamark, and embossing powder; it did change the color of the paper to a darker pink.
I made a card to match using this weeks mojo sketch, you can see the sketch and all the mojo makers creations at the The Mojo Monday Blog,  the sentiment is from the Beautiful You set.

I am excited to share with you my project for the Verve Project Parade, the theme is Home For The Holidays. We are trying to keep our gifts under $10, I bought this hanging frame from Michael's for $7.99. It is beautiful and of excellent quality, that means a lot to me. I used the SEI Winter Song designer paper, I paper pieced the tree using the Verve set Christmas In The Air. I stamped the snowflakes, cut them out, and added Martha Stewart glitter and adhered to the outside of the frame. I made a matching card, because I adore the colors and I enjoy making cards. Verve Project Parade/Encouraging Words Day 5

I am thrilled to be bringing to you the fifth day of the Verve Project Parade/Encouraging Words. Julee has the best stamps for encouragement, you can check out all the great stamps at Verve Stamps. This set will be going to my very special friend, Kim*waving*; I hope that you are encouraged and know that you are very special to me!
I found the small easel at the dollar store, it is perfect for displaying these little 4 x 4 cards. I made seven of them one for each day of the week. I made the 4 x 4 box to put them in also. I used My Mind's Eye 29th Street Collection DP, lots of bling, a red rich ribbon, SU ribbon, buttons, and scoring. You should head over to the Verve Blog to see all of the diva's project there are some awesome ideas!
To make the box I used the 3 x 3 box instructions from SCS here and changed the measurements to suit a 4 x 4 box. They came from Verve's very own diva Laurie. I hope you decide to play along, I really enjoy looking at every one's creations. You can see my new release creations from Verve here.

Happiness for Hostesses Verve Project Parade

Good morning gals, I have brought to you today my project for the Happiness for Hostesses project parade. You can see all the other divas projects over at the Verve Stamps Blog. For my project I used a tin that was in my stash, covered it with Basicgrey Blush dp, distressed it up and added a little sponging. I filled it with coffee beans, it isn't nothing better than fresh ground coffee, add friends and you have a lasting moment in your memory. I am all about the time together. I ran the card through the Cuttlebug using the embossing folder from SU called Final Press. This texture is soooo yummy, it is very crisp and beautiful. I used the Mega Curved Nesties on both the tin and the card. I used the Plain Jane Romans 12:13 on the card and Delightful & Delicious on the tin. I hope you can join us for the Happiness for Hostesses project, be sure to upload your creation to the Verve Stamps Blog at this post by 8:00 PM Mountain Time on September 12 using Mr Linky. Be sure to ahead over to Verve and see my entire project. Have an enjoyable day!

Verve Project Parade-Divine Details

This is for the Verve Project Parade and for Karen's Sweet Sunday sketch challenge from last week.. You can learn about the Verve Project Parade here. You can learn more about the sketch challenge here. I used sewing, sponging, and made a tag. I am a sketch girl and almost always start with a sketch and then I am drawn to color, dp, or ribbon that I want to use. Sometimes I use embellishments as a starting point, but if I do it is because I want to use a particular color. I also like depth and try to use images that can be cut out and/or popped up. I used the wide striped ribbon from last Winter's SU cattie for this card. I also used colors from our wedding, I wanted to load this to the LSC from yesterday but I was missing some of the requirments so I cannot load it. Part of the challenge yesterday was to use high school colors or wedding colors. I used our wedding colors, I wore a ivory dress and carried red roses and dh wore a black suit with a ivory shirt and red tie. I added one of my favorite photos from our wedding for you to see, my dh has since cut his hair if you are wondering. Enjoy!

Verve Project Parade-It' A Girl Thing

Good morning everyone, it is Wednesday and we are half through the work week. I am thrilled to bring you my project for the last day of the Verve Project Parade , you can see all of my project here. The theme for the Verve project is "It's A Girl Thing", be sure to check out all the divas fabulous creations.
I have chose my Mother to honor, she has taught me so much and for that I am grateful. She started encouraging me as a young girl to write notes of care and thank you notes. I was collecting the pretty boxes full of stationary made by the gold crown company when I was very young. I would send notes to my friends, always send thank you notes after birthdays and holidays, and greetings cards to relatives as I got older.

I have always been attracted to boxes, tins and keepsake holders; which brings me to my keepsake box full of handmade cards. These boxes are totally awesome, I got them from Taylored Expessions. I used my Verve set Because of You and several of the Plain Jane sets to embellish the box and create my cards. I used this beautiful dp from My Minds Eye called French Flea Market, a checkered brown ribbon and the gorgeous chocolate pearls from Kaiser. I hope you like my girly keepsake box, it was fun to create and reminisce about the past things Mom has taught me.
You still have one more day to play along with us. Just make a project or card that fits your style and celebrates a woman in your life. It can be any woman ... mom, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, teacher - you get the idea! Just add your project link to the Mr. Linky form here before 8PM Mountain on Thursday, May 14th. Two random participants will be chosen and win $25 gift certificates to the Verve Store. Have fun and good luck! Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!
