Find Joy

I have played along with Colour Me, Cardabilities, and Triple The Scrap Scripture Challenge. I need a tag for a gift bag; I am donating cards for a silent auction and I like to put them in gift bags and add a tag....two for one, cards plus a gift bag and tag. The awesome sentiment is from a My Favorite Things stamp set. The second scripture challenge word is representative, Gods word tells us that we should show is love in action and in truth. 1 John 3:18 "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth."

The first word for the scripture challenge is trust, I was inspired by the song "Tis Sweet To Trust In Jesus' and by Psalm 84:12....."O Lord of hosts, Blessed is the man who trusts in you!"  Here is the direct link to this years first challenge. To trust in the Lord is to have no worry, which brings forth lots of freedom, how sweet it is!

Prayer & Grace

I created this for the scripture challenge and also for todays WT208, to make an ATC. I have a confession to make, I was not at all happy with my little ATC's today and was not going to share with you guys. And the Lord spoke to me very clearly, "Is this about me or you?" I want to bring glory to the Lord, so it is in obedience and love for the Lord that I share my ATC with you today. I used 2 Corinthians 13:9 for the word prayer. I used the scripture 2 Corinthians 12:9 for the word grace. This scripture brings tears to my eyes, because I am so weak and the Lord is made perfect in my weakness......Praise the Lord! So today if you are going through a tuff time, remember that God is made perfect in our weakness and His grace is sufficient for you today in your situation. I also have a picture of what the ATC holder looks now, it is so pretty. I just luv seeing all that paper, ribbon, and embellies in one palce on my desk. Enjoy your day and be blessed by Gods word!

ATC Scripture Challenge Glad & Trust

I created these for this weeks ATC Scripture Challenge, the words are glad and trust. The ATC's are quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I enjoy very much looking up the words and study Gods the Bible, I always get goose bumps when I read His word, the scriptures just come to life for me. I do hope you will consider doing this fun, inspiring challenge. I chose 1Peter 4:13, we are to be glad and rejoice always in all things. For the word trust, I chose Jeremiah 17:7, we must trust God today and everyday, even the days when it seems everything is falling apart, rest in Him, for He is our guide! His Holy Name-Protector

I created this album page for His Holy Name Scipture Challenge, you can see all the creations at SCS under the keyword HHN09. This is for the name two weeks ago, we get another name tomorrow, so I am a little behind. His name is Protector, I used the scripture Psalm 18:1-2. This scipture is sooo reassuring, God will always be there for us, He wants no harm to come to you and I. When things in your life seem unsure, turn to this scripture and be filled with confidence that God will protect you! To make my album page I used my favorite stamp, really...I so luv this tree. It is from Sweet N' Sassy and it is from the set Doddle Birds, this tree is so beautiful. I like to put gems in the swirling limbs and add sparkle. Enjoy your Bible reading.

Change & Peace

I created these ATC for the scripture challenge, if you want to play along and upload your creations use the keyword SCRC209. For the word "change" it has two meanings for me. We must change our old ways and live for Jesus, but Jesus is never changing....that gives great comfort. I used two scriptures Job 14:14 and Malachi 3:6. Gods word was, is, and will be the same for evermore, that brings "peace". Trusting the Lord will bring peace. The Lord has given me an inner peace like I have never felt before. Before I accepted Jesus in my heart inner peace was the futherest thing from my heart and mind. I lift up praise to the Lord for giving me peace. The scriptures I chose are Colossians 3:15 and Phillippians 4:7. I did not put Collossians 3:15 on my ATC because of room, but it is in my journaling. I hope you enjoy reading these scriptures. I luv creating these little ATC's, I hope you join the fun!

ATC Scripture Challenge Beauty & Waiting

I created these ATC's for the SCRC209 the words this week are Beauty and Wait. There are some challegnes that you just luv, well the ATC scripture challenge is one of my favorites. I know your thinking she has alot of favorites...hehehe..yea, I do. I am not sure if I could name a top three, but I can name a top ten.....lol...that is good, there are lots of fabulous challenges out there. It is not to late to start this one and you can do any project that you want. Patter has done an outstanding job bringing us the scripture challenges. I used 1 Chronicles 16:29 for Beauty....beauty to our Lord is not outward beauty, He sees the beauty of our heart. I want my heart to be beautiful to God and to others! I used Psalm 37:34 for Wait...waiting is one of the hardest things for us to do. If we are waiting it is only because God has something better that we can't see for ourselves...Gods best always comes after a wait! Amen. Enjoy your day! His Holy Name-Sovereign

I created this album page for His Holy Name Challenge, the name this week is "sovereign". You can learn more here HHN09. I used baja breeze patttern paper, added ribbon for the stems of the flowers, the flowers are leather, I added a brad to the center of each one. The word sovereign is letter rub-ons, I punched holes in the top die side and then went back and cut each one with scisssors to make it look like it came from a notebook. The awesome Susan aka one4joy used this technique and I luvd it...thanks Susan! I hope you enjoy it and will consider playing along, it will be fabulous to see the end results.

Scripture Challenges

I want to share some fabulous inpiration challenges over at SCS. The Divine Design Bible Verse Challenge is to make a creation once a month using a Bible scripture. I have chose to make 4x6 index style cards and put into a decorated photo box. I am making these to give to my twelve year old niece one day. You can see the ones from last year in my gallery at SCS va.sunshine . My picture taking has come a long way(never mind the towel..lol) If you upload to SCS use the keyword BVC09 .

These two photos of are the 6x6 album I am making for the challenge His Holy Name. Patter is hosting this challenge you can find out more about her here Triple The Scraps. She gives us a name of God every two weeks and we are to find a scripture to go with the name. The first

name of God is 'holy'. This is the front and back of my first page. I am having a hard time getting use to my handwriting being on the page.

I think it makes it very special to use your persoanl handwriting. One day my niece may have this too. The scripture I used is Leviticus 20:26. You can go to Biblegateway.com to look up scripture, I really like it because I can copy and paste to Word if I want to print it.
