be in the now

hello friends, I have my sights set on 2018; the new year! I luv fresh starts, the hope of things to come and adventures! Today's quote is super fun, I hope to stay curious in the coming year, what fun we shall have if we do! I have sued a new papertrey ink stamp set to me, I did not make christmas cards with it, but could not wait to pull it out when I saw the papertrey ink inspiration photo. I luv, luv, luv making heart cards...they are my all time favorite to create and they are not just for valentines days quite the contrary. I used a faux watercolor technique; stamping then spritzing. Discovered this during the scs fallidays and I luv using it. Also, used the atlantic hearts sketch...hope you have a week full of creating...I plan on it(along with some hard chore painting I need to continue working on, progress pictures to come on my IG)

words with meaning -  blessed are the curious for they shall have adventures.

With Sympathy

Counting down my large order of sympathy cards I need to make. I can't help but think who these will go to when I am making them, death is never an easy thing and it effects all of us differently. I have used the fun sketch from Decontructed Jen, the sentiment is from a PTI set. Hope you have a super Monday...sparkle & shine!

You Are A Blessing

I quick card to play along with the challenge from yesterday at SCS, it was an inspiration challenge.  I was inspired by the tags/flags, I adore flags, banner,s and tags.  I luv grouping them together like I did for the top of my card.  I loosely used the sketch from 365, I turned it upside down.  I stamped the simple sentiment and then added a glittered heart with a button...tooooo cute and super simple!  Hope you are having a wonderful day....enjoy!

Pink Paper Flower

I have created this for the SCS Cling To Challenges, HYCCT11; to make a paper flower.  I used the Clean & Simple Sketch, FTL111, this is a super sketch, I designed mine on a tilt.  I added a little bling, gotta have the bling....hehehe.  These style of paper flowers are my favorite, you use a scalloped circle punch or nesties.  Cut out as many layers as you want(I normally use five, you can use more to make it fuller)  Scrunch them up, stack them, add a brad, and start squishing them together.  The photo below is from of our motorcycle trips this week....doesn't it look so peaceful...I luv this photo.  This church is nestled in the surrounding mountains where we live.  Thanks for stopping by and for your comments...enjoy!

Hello, and a happy weekend to you, I created this for today's IC224.  I chose the first sushi cake as my inspiration.  This is for the Card Patterns Sketch, 55 and for The Color Throwdown Color Challenge, CTD84.  I used PTI Blooming Baby Bits image with a verve sentiment, "thanks for caring" from the set Thankful Hearts.
I have not been around this week, my dh had to have open heart surgery, he is fine.  He had to have a valve repair because of a birth defect.  It has been a tiring and stressful week but he has come through the surgery with ease.  I will be making lots of thank you cards in the coming days, lots of friends, family, and the hospital staff have been by our side.  We have had lots of support and many many prayers going up for us.  I will be able to be home with him for several weeks so I hope to get some stamping done during my down times.  I will have a blog giveaway Monday, be sure to check back!  Enjoy.
