Glad Tidings

Hello, it is me again...I have been having such a great time tonight just playing along with challenges.  If only I did not have to work...lol.  I have used the awesome sketch from Cardabilities, this one will go into my "favorites folder" for sure.  I am drawn to the banners, it is so very popular now and I luv the look!  I also played along with SCS inspiration challenge, it has been forever since I played along with the fabulous challenges over at SCS, thanks for the fun!  I have used the sentiment from Verve Stamps called Glad Tidings....psssst, it is on sale!  The snowflakes are from Recollections and I used the washi tape again on card stock and then punches a scalloped border......like tiny strips of designer paper, that makes me happy..*grin*.  I hope you are having a wonderful weekend...enjoy!

Viva la Verve-Let Your Light Shine

Hi ya friends, it is a gorgeous day here in VA.....and to top it off I spent the morning with my creating friends.....woohoo.  These gals are always an inspiration and lots of fun!  I am sharing my second version of Amber's' Viva la Verve sketch, the first one is over in the Viva la Verve forum.  I have been in need of lots of cards lately, so I used this sketch twice.  I made this one manly for a young man we know who is graduating.  I also need a gift for a starting over shower for a great friend of mine....that it another card and gift tag.  I have made homemade sour dough bread and my strawberry freezer jam to go with the gift cards I am giving to each of these recipients.  I hope you have a super wonderful weekend....enjoy!

Ace Of Cakes Inspired Card-Praise God

Hi friends, I have a quick challenge card to share....I need a manly card for a fellow in our church who was in a horrible truck accident.  He is going to be ok, it could have been much, much worse, so we are praising God for the miracle.  I used Tim Holtz stamps to make this collage on the tag shape and then I added the Verve sentiment using A Cut Above Verve Dies to frame it.  The sentiment is from the new set Faithful Phrases.  I also used a cake from today's IC280 as my inspiration, you can see it here.  Have a super Saturday evening, we have nothing bad rain today, some ares 3 or 4 inches.....we are ready for sunshine......enjoy!

CAS-Thinking Of You

Good evening, I have created a CAS card for several challenges....yes, I am a challenge junkie...lol.  I used a SU set, my poor SU sets are very neglected, I do not have many but cannot seem to find time to use them.  I needed a tree image so I reached for this sweet little tree, so cute...don't ya think?  I used dry embossing, a sponged tag, and bakers twine to complete my card.  It is gearing up to be another busy week, I do hope you can find time to create....I always feel better after completing a card, especially if I have a special someone to send it to.  Hope your weekend is going fabby....enjoy!

Square CAS- hi

Hi friends, I hope you have had a great weekend, mine has been fast but good!  I wanted to play along with a couple of CAS challenges, the CAS106 from Monday is a sketch.  Today's FS211, Cookie has a CAS style; I chose her card here to case. I used Saturday's IC272 as my inspiration, the site is wall art.  My piece of designer paper is similar to the art on the walls as it makes the room and the gorgeous print makes the card.  I also played along with the Etsy Inspired Challenge, using this sweet clay pot as inspiration, the ribbed top is like my letters and similar colors.   There is no stamping on my square card, I used cardboard letters from JillyBean Soup.  I did stamped on them and also added glass glitter the the letters and the edges of my card.  A super simple CAS card for me today.  This is also fits this months Dirty Dozen theme, "Days of Our Lives" I hope you will play along with us!  If you cannot see the gallery consider joining SCS as a Fan Club Member.  I hope you have a fantastic evening, be sure to check back in the morning for my Mojo Monday Sketch card....enjoy!

Hello Friend

I have created this card using today's IC267, I used 0322 from the third set of photos has my inspiration.  The colors are green, blue, and brown.  I also wanted to honor a new friend, one of the greatest perks to our paper crafting is meeting the best of friends!  The other week when my friends and I set out in pursuit of a Hobby Lobby, which is about 1 hour and 1/2 from us.  The area that the HL was in is full of fantastic shopping.  We discovered a scrap booking store, that is totally amazing!  The gal who works in there is a SCS gal, can you believe it?  It is Dawn aka stampinscotsgirl, we had chatted briefly on a forum but that has been a while ago.  I really liked her from the start, she has this amazing accent, and is super talented!  I wanted to honor her by casing one of her sweet cards and this is my end result.  That is all for now......enjoy!

You're In My Thoughts!

Good morning, I am counting down the days until Christmas, I still have right much to do.  My dh has to work today and tomorrow and then he will be off with me.....yippie!  We will have to hit an Olive Garden while we are off, it is one of our favorite places to eat.
I have another card to share, just like I promised(trying to share something every day this week).  I have been back and forth between Christmas cards and general cards, trying to mix things up a bit.  Today's card I used the adorable flower from a newest Verve release set called Amazing Wishes and the heart is from the set Text Objects, I luv this set!  It has some of the sweetest quotes written in text form, perfect for backgrounds or inked lightly behind a main image and they both are all sale...woohoo.  This is a super simple card, I added some yummy white lace trim sent to me by Piali(waving and sending hugs), thank you so much girl...you are a sweetheart!  Did you here she will be guest designing for Verve in January....eeeeekkkk...so glad to have you!  I used the Clean & Simple Sketch, FTL121 and the CAS98, to be inspired by this so cute apron.  I hope your day is productive and fun...enjoy!

Forever Friends

I am thrilled to share my new blog look...I adore this cute little flower.  I also added my new look to my Etsy shop...Paperie Blooms,  please check it out too!  You can get your new look from Katie here.
The card I have for tonight, is combining Mercy's Tuesday Sketch, MTSC82 and Stacey's Curtain Call Act 38.  I struggled with these colors, this is only my third card this week and I am making a mad dash to the finish line....lol.  I used the inspiration photos from IC241, they where lots of fabric pieced brooches, so I paper pieced my butterfly.  I uses the PTI set Flutter By Friend.  The designer papers are SU.  I added stitching, distressing, paper pieced the butterfly, and added gemstones.  I hope your Saturday is great, I will be getting together with my SU demo and other friends to play with the new catties items.  Enjoy!

Perpetual Vintage Globe

To leave a comment on the CTD100 Ann. card for your chance to win click here.  You are also welcome to browse other posts on my blog if you like...*grin*
Today's card is for the IC240 over at SCS, the Skipping Stones Sketch Challenge, SSD32; and for the CAS-tastices, CWC011; to make a CAS using kraft.  So here you have it, I have a fondness for maps and globes, I was instantly drawn to this perpetual vintage globe.  I would have liked to had it for myself but it has been sold....sigh.  I was drawn to the colors, the lines, and the curves; so I chose this busy paper by Websters Pages....this is some of my all time favorite paper.  Pretty simple card with a Verve sentiment.
We are finally getting a little rain here is VA, we surely need it....have a wonderful day!  Enjoy.
