Butterfly Thank You

Good morning, I am sharing another thank you card that I put together and of course I had to play along with a couple of challenges.  City Crafters has a fun one, you have to use the one element that each DT member mentions in their post, well I had to use them all...lol.  I hope I found them all, I tell ya I like a good challenge, even if it is to challenge myself...lol.  I have used the Verve sentiment from the set Words Cannot Express; Verve is having a huge sale, check it out here!  I totally luv the PinkPaislee chipboard butterflies, they are white and can be sponged or stained; very cute!  I have lots more cards to share, so keep checkin back to see what's new....enjoy!

Don't be afraid to fail. Don't waste energy trying to cover up failure. Learn from your failures and go on to the next challenge. It's OK to fail. If you're not failing, you're not growing.

Viva la Verve- Embrace Life

I am sharing this weeks Viva la Verve, I have chosen a circle inside of a square styled sketch..I am very happy with the outcome.  I have used black and cream...a gorgeous color combo!  I make my square cards 4 1/4 x 4 1/4, I do this so that I can still cut a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 down the middle, less waste.  I like this size much better than the bigger size too.  I am also very excited to share that Julee has upped the prize if you win the VLV for the month, you now get $100 worth of FREE Verve, that is definitely worth playing for, don't ya think?  To load your card and get all the details head over to the Verve forum on SCS.  Be sure to check back from time to time this weekend I have several other posts to share.  I hope you are planning a fun fall weekend....enjoy!

Stampers Dream-LaBlanche Stamps

Good morning, I am headed out for a day of shopping with the firls......you gotta luv that!  We have a wonderful scrap booking/stamping store about 1 1/2 hours away.  It seems like a 10 min trip in the car with friends....hehehehe.  I wanted to share another card with you before I go, I have used the stamp from Stampers Dream from a new collection of images that Michelle is carrying, it is called LaBlanche.....I adore these images because they are elegant without the coloring.  Now, don't get me wrong I luv coloring(wish I could do it)but it takes lots of time so these images are perfect without the coloring.  Check them out here!
I have used a sentiment tag collection tied with crinkled ribbon, the background tag is from Maya Roads and it is the kraft mini tags....these are adorable in shape!  I am keeping it short today as I head out for the girls shopping trip, you can do your own shopping at Stampers Dream, she has all the greatest names, Melissa Frances, My Mind's Eye, Spellbinders and JustRite....check it out....enjoy!

Stampers Dream-Becasue I Care

Hi friends, I have created a favorite square card using a tag...so sweet!  I have also used the new stamps from JustRite called Family Garden....I adore this flower sprigs..it has so many possibilities!  I added the tiny flowers that come in the set with pearls scattered throughout.  The sentiment is from the set Because I Care.  I also used the wonderful stain on my tag, it is by Tim Holtz...it is awesome!  The bottle has a dabber on the end so it is super simple to apply.....no mess and the coverage is spectacular!  I distressed the edges and then went back over with more stain so that it is darker, the beauty of this stain...with each layer it is darker or with a damp cloth it becomes lighter....luv it!  I used a white doily, ribbon, and May Arts burlap string to complete my card.  I hope that your weekend plans include a little creating fun......get out also and soak up the sun...enjoy!

Let It Snow

Good morning peeps, it is Friday and I am thrilled...I am off from work until January 4, we got snow yesterday(not as much as I would have like to have gotten, but we did get about 4 or 5 inches...woohoo), and I am sharing this weeks Viva la Verve card with you.  Amy has brought us this weeks fabulous sketch,  you can get all the details here I used the cute mitten set from Verve.  The set is called Winter Mittens, these mittens are so cute!  I used the sentiment "Let It Snow" from the set Holiday Phrases.  I paper pieced the mittens, ran them through a SU embossing folder and added SU glitter, these are so cute...I would luv to have a pair just like them!  This is also my submission the CCEE1050 Challenge to use mittens.  I stamped the gorgeous snowflake from the set Glad Tidings and cut it out and added a clear gemstone.  I used some of my favorite SU designer paper from a  couple of years ago.  And I could not leave out the stitching...hehehe....I hope your Friday is great!  I will be getting out to do a little shopping, I luv getting out in the snow....enjoy!

Hope

Good morning, I used today's Free 4 All, F4A25, to make a thinking of you/get well.  I am always in need of these types of cards, I send cards all the time.  I can't keep many in my stash because I send them as I make them, that is the true joy of creating!  I also used the sketch from last weeks CCEE1031. I have had it saved it hopes of using it, luv this long and skinny sketch.  I also played along with Sharon and the Stamp Simply DT; ssnotime152 to use ribbon scraps.  By scrunching the ribbon this way you can use of pieces of scraps, luv that!  I also used scrap pieces of designer paper for this one, everything is scraps but the card base.  Tomorrow is the long awaited Verve sneak peek day...yippie....you will be amazed by the Verve divas creations.  Be sure to check the Verve Blog in the morning 7:00 am EST to get all the details!  Have a wonderful Friday and make the most of the weekend; it's the best part of the week!  Enjoy.

Life Is A Song

Happy Saturday to you, I have a one layer card I made for the challenge at There She Goes, TSG47.  They are having a new release this weekend and have offered up a few challenges.  It is also today's IC225, I chose the candle here as my inspiration, I was drawn to the adorable pink flower.  I used the sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges, C4C30.  I also used the cute cookie inspiration photo from CCEE1012.  I was drawn to the yummy icing/cream that is ooozing out the sides, hence the reason for the distressing texture on the sides of my card.  I hope you have a fun filled weekend planned, be sure to hug someone today and tell them you love them!  Enjoy.

Hope

I created this for several challenges, the CCEE Stampers, CCEE1002 sketch. It is also for the Embellish Challenge to use purple, kraft, and chocolate and to use stripes. I added stripes with a marker to the right side of the sentiment. I am not sure if I like that or not, but I trying to make it work...lol. I also added stripes to the kraft piece of card stock with my scor pal. Finally, it is for the Scripture Challenge over at Patter Cross Blog, SCRC210. the first word is Hope. The scripture is a Verve stamp Psalm 31:24. I used the crystal flourish to accent the scripture panel, it came from Hope Stamps Eternal. I hope that you have a wonderful evening, enjoy!
