I stamped the golfer in Totally Taupe ink and watercoloured the scene. The sentiment was stamped in Wicked Black.

Sunny Days Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

This week our challenge for you is ....

SUNNY DAYS!

My card features three stamp sets: GOOD IN THE WOODS (Lucas), GOOD IN THE WOODS ACCESSORIES (BBQ) and that bright cheery sun from HERE COMES THE SUN. I stamped Lucas and the BBQ in our Wicked Black Ink, masked them, and used our new Radiant Rainbow stencil for the background. Inks used in the rainbow include: Ruby Red, Pumpkin Patch, Summer Sunshine, Charming Chartreuse, Sparkling Sapphire (currently on sale!), Purple Pansy and Gorgeous Grape. The rest of the scene was done in copic markers.

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like with new creations. You are welcome to use any stamp however using Kraftin' Kimmie stamp and products will earn you double entries to the monthly prize of a $25 voucher to the Krafty shop!

Sporty Boys...a Kraftin' Kimmie Sneak Peek!

Welcome to Day FOUR of the February Release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps...we're introducing an all star set from artist Emilie Goulet called SPORTY BOYS!!

This fun set features two main images of some energetic young men playing baseball and doing karate! It also comes with FIVE awesome sentiments!

I'm Crazy Fore You!! It's Release Day at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Little Boy Blue (A Kraftin' Kimmie Sneak Peek!)

Release Day at SCACD...Oddly Sweet Curiosities!

Today SCACD releases the sequel to the oh so popular Oddly Sweet Curiosities!!!


This is a fun and fresh stamp Collection from Susana Loves Stamps!!!We proudly introduce the Oddly Sweet Curiosities Sets 3 and 4 which house some of the cutest little Curiosities with matching sentiments. SCACD has continued with the appeal these little Curios have that are a combination of inspiration as well as happiness thru laughter...the best medicine!!! Each Curiosity comes with its own matching sentiment. So pick up one or the whole set so you can mix and match the sentiments. 

To celebrate this release, we're having  fun blog hop showcasing the new stamps. You can find the complete hop list at the Store Blog. If you've been hopping along in order, you should have arrived here after visiting with my talented friend Alex. :)

I've created two cards for today hop. Up first is "Moments" from the Oddly Sweet Curiosities Set 4. Daydreaming and taking time to enjoy life's simple pleasures are often things we forget about as we grow up and get busy in the hectic pace of life. We should follow this little guy's lead, and remember to pause for a bit of quiet time amidst the hustle and bustle. :)  I paired him up with some Valentine's Day papers from last year. You can find the full selection of 6x6 paper pads including Valentine's designs HERE. The corners embellishments were cut with Fancy Flower and Key Corner Dies by SCACD. The flourishes were cut with a Memory Box Die. The pearls were created with a Viva Decor Pen. The dandelion fluff was touched with a bit of Stardust Stickles. 

"Moments" was stamped on Neenah in Memento Ink and coloured with Copics. The sky was sponged in with blue ink and hand cut cardstock cloud template. 

Up next is "Me and My L'il Buddy" from the Oddly Sweet Curiousities Set 3. Dinosaurs are so much! The papers are from Authentique...again, HERE is the link to the paper selection at SCACD. The corners were cut with Classic Corner Dies by SCACD. The sentiment comes with the stamp, but remember that you can mix and match the sentiments and stamps from this set for lots of variety!

Me and My L'il Buddy was stamped in Memento Ink and coloured with Copics.

SPECIAL NOTICE FOR MY FELLOW CANADIANS: It is with much regret that SCACD will no longer be shipping to Canada. Susana loves her loyal Canadian customers and has GREATLY appreciated each and every one of you over the years. However, USPS has recently significantly increased their shipping rates to Canada. They  have also changed their policies for preparing parcels for shipping, which has become very time consuming. She would LOVE to continue providing her customers with the amazing service they have come to appreciate, but these changes are out of her hands and unfortunately there is nothing she can do about them. So it is because of these factors that the decision was made to no longer ship to Canada. "Robot Boy"...Release Day at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Good morning and welcome to the release day blog hop at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! As you hop from blog to blog today, be sure to leave a comment at each and every stop because some lucky stampers will win packages of these incredible stamps from the new release!! For my card today, I used my favourite of the new Nerds and Geeks by Annie Rodrigue. This is Robot Boy...isn't  he awesome?!  The papers were all distressed and sponged with black ink. The clockwork corner was created with the Alice's Clock Statement Corner die from Dies by SCACD. I didn't have any silver cardstock, so I painted it with some silver acrylic paint and sponged it with black ink. The gears are all from dismantled dollar store clocks. Yes I know you can buy "crafty" gears, but I figured I'd save a few dollars. :)  Only problem was that they were white plastic...not really the look I was going for with my card! So again, I reached for the silver craft paint to make them look like metal and then treated them to some black ink to grunge them up. I also added some metal corners that I've had in my stash for ages.

Robot Boy was stamped on Neenah in Memento Ink and coloured with Copics. I added a bit of Glossy Accents to his goggles. 

On the back of my card, I used one of the amazing new Handmade Trinkets. This new set of trinkets is perfect for finishing off all your handmade gifts. :)  The trinket was stamped on kraft cardstock and I added a little banner for my name. It was cut out and matted with Spellbinders.

Cute-A-Saurus!

Today at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps we are sharing a new set by the totally talented Emilie Goulet!!! We've got something super cute and so unique for you!! Perfect for the little kidlets in your life....and maybe some old fossils too!!! It's CUTE-A-SAURUS!! Emilie has created a fun set of DINOSAUR images for your cards and scrapbook pages!

Ok, so I am TOTALLY in love with this set Emilie created! My son Nathan was a dinosaur nut when he was a little guy. He absolutely loved the Land Before Time movies...and so did I. :)  Who could resist singing along with Cera, Littlefoot, Ducky, Petrie and Spike?? Rarely did a day pass when he didn't ask to watch one of those movies!  I chose to colour up this adorable triceratops from the Cute-A-Saurus set for my card today. I paired him up with some Cosmo Cricket paper. The sentiment is included in the set along with a few other dino themed phrases. 

He was stamped on Neenah cardstock in Memento Ink and coloured with Copics.

"Skulltastic Challenge", Anniversary Celebration and World Cardmaking Day Fun at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Hi folks! There's so much fun happening with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps this weekend!! Just to give you all a bit of warning, this is going to be a lengthy post! But trust me, you will want to make sure to read the entire post thoroughly so you don't miss out on anything. ;)   So go grab yourself a cup of coffee or tea and let's get this party started!

1. Happy Anniversary to Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!  Kimmie has been in the business of bringing us amazingly fun stamps to colour and create with for THREE years! To celebrate, she is running a HUGE sale this weekend. You can find all the stamps on sale HERE.

2. World Cardmaking Day!!  Kimmie is running some fun challenges at the KKS Blog and on the Facebook Fan Page. Make sure to stay tuned throughout the weekend for your chance to WIN! (psst...for those of you interested, there will be a chance to win a guest designer spot for the month of December!!) There are of course some krafty challenges that will require you to get into your studios and get busy...we can't wait to see what you create! There will also be some fun trivia challenges to join in as well. It's going to be a really fun weekend and I hope you can join us!

3. Our weekly challenge at the KKS Blog!! As always, Saturday is the day for us to post a new challenge for all you Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps fans to play along with! This week our lovely hostess is the very talented Cheryl whose challenge is called "Skulltastic!"...quite a fitting challenge for the month of October! It's pretty simple...just make sure there is at least one skull somewhere on your project. It could be part of your image, in your design paper or an embellishment. It's totally up to you!

For my card this week, I inked up an oldie but a goodie. This young swashbuckler is Billy Blyth. Isn't he awesome?! And of course, he fits in perfectly with the Skulltastic challenge thanks to his little footrest. The DCWV Once Upon A Time papers were distressed, inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and treated to a little machine stitching for a finishing touch. I FINALLY remembered to stop by the fabric store and pick up more thread. It was driving me nuts to not have it. I absolutely love to add stitching to my cards and often feel they look a bit naked without it. lol  I did sponge over the thread with a bit of brown ink, but I should have been a bit more generous with my application as the thread it a bit too stark for the earthy tones of this card. That decorative border was made with one of my awesome new Dies by SCACD...this one is called Ornate Hinge. I absolutely love the intricacy of this die. It has a little panel across the bottom with three holes for brads or pearls so it will look like a hinge, but I trimmed it off and overlapped three of the hinges to create a continuous border.

And here's your closeup of young Billy. He was stamped on Neenah with Memento Ink and coloured with Copics. Pirates are just awesome! I'm a big fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. How much fun would it have been to be involved in those movies?? And can I just say that Captain Jack Sparrow has got to be the best pirate ever! He's awesome...mostly due to the fact that he was played by one of my favourite actors, Johnny Depp. The man is absolutely brilliant...especially when playing eccentric characters. He truly shines in those roles. From the Mad Hatter to Sweeney Todd to Sam in Benny & Joon...each character was played to perfection. (incidentally, has anybody ever tried making grilled cheese with an iron??? I've always wanted to try...) It's a tough call as I really love so many of his movies, but I think my favourite  has got to be Edward Scissorhands. I LOVE that movie. I can't even remember how many times I've seen it. I adore the character of Edward, poor guy. Breaks my heart when his maker dies in front of him as his scissors slip through the hands that were meant to be his....so sad. :(  I haven't seen Dark Shadows yet, but I am definitely looking forward to rectifying that soon!

My first card today features my personal favourite from Annie this month, "Captain Hook". I love him!! He comes with two sentiments, "Hooked on You" and "Ya Scalliwag!". I used the sketch from our weekly Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge and flipped Pam's sketch on it's side. The map paper, banner and vertical panel are all from DCWV "Once Upon A Time". The background paper is actually from MME "Lost and Found Christmas". The "map" was crumpled up and sponged with Walnut Stain Distress Ink, as was the "Treasure Map" banner. The banner was cut from the same piece of paper as the "map". I placed some pop dots under a few sections of the map and banner to give it a bit of dimension. The little skull is from some fabric trim.

Here's a closer look at Hook...Annie put an incredible amount of detail into him. Just take a look at that feathered hat, curled hair, trademark "hook" and that amazing jacket. He's awesome. :) I stamped Hook on Neenah with Memento Ink and coloured him with Copics.

My second card features one of the stamps from the new Thank You Trinkets Set. These trinkets are fabulous to add as sentiments with your image stamps, for use in scrapbooks, journals, smashbooks or as the focal point of a card as I've done here. The papers are from Cosmo Cricket Tea for Two. The trinket was mounted and framed with Cirlce and Lacey Circle Spellbinders. The flourish was cut with an MFT die and the rose is from Prima.

Kimmie will also be offering the Gimmie Kimmie's Kits which will be availabe at a great discount but only for a limited time. The kits are divided by artist and are a fantastic bargain for those stampers who "need" them all. :)
