Paperbabe Stamps Mid-challenge Reminder...

Hello everyone!!!
Hope you're having a lovely week,

There is still plenty of time to take part in our current Sketch challenge...
and I'm sharing my project for a mid challenge inspiration...
So I've created a Halloween inspired card, it's been ages since I've made a 'card' seems strange lol.

Check out the vintage pattern papers, a Pink Paislee, called bayberry cottage, possibly discontinued now.
I started by creating my witch using the dinky face with the torso template and the fringe part from the loose plait hair templates
I added a witches hat and bat wings from two different digi's and sized them to coordinate. These represent the three elements from the sketch lol.

She has been coloured with copics, definitely found my love for these pens again... I went for a grey tone for her skin, with a little sparkle in her witchy eyes.

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #26 ~ Love

We have a lovely challenge over on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today all about lurve...
and I've made a one layer card using the new Pin Up digi stamp!
I started by printing the faint outline version onto some yummy Bristol board, I think it's still my favourite to colour.
Then I got stuck in colouring away, I decided to add some polka dots to her stockings using a black posca pen. I wanted a sheer look to her top but not too see through. The background is all copics I'm pleased with the look I was going for a shabby chic vintage backdrop.
The eyes have been designed with just a dot so you can add your own size and style of iris. I've added a few accents of sparkle, she is a sexy crafter after all. I finished the card with a 'love' sentiment
This is pretty much most of the copics I've used I didn't add the posca pens or the colorless blender to the picture.

I'm entering my card into a few other challenges too

Paperbabe Stamps ~ Queen of Hearts

We're introducing the Queen of Hearts on the Paperbabe Stamps Blog today...
Meet our new addition to our grown up digital collection, this beauty is inspired by the powerful Queen of hearts, complimenting the Alice in wonderland theme.
I've printed off the faint line version, I love that the eyes are still black and how they pop, much easier than trying to go over the eyes with a black pen. She was calling to be coloured with copics, I thought I would try some new cardstock I had but never again lol, it just doesn't take the inks well, whatever coating is on the card seems to interfere with the copic ink. I had to place scrap paper over areas as the ink was coming off and transferring to other parts I had coloured. But I was committed by then so carried on lol!
I was inspired by Tim Burtons Queen of Hearts for her colours but I've added a little heart to her face from the Kawaii Face stamp set instead of her beauty spot.
I teamed her up with the looking glass patterned papers from Kaisercraft.
and these are the copics I used.

I thought I would enter my card into a few challenges...

Paperbabe Stamps ~ Kawaii Face stamps & Adorimal Digi Collection

We're introducing the Kawaii face stamp set and Adorimal Digi stamps on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today

Here's a bundle of samples I created using the faint outline digis... sooo cute
Using sentiment from Just Because
Using sentiment from DesignA Knit
Using sentiment from Just Because
Using sentiment from Mayleedee Little Red

Well I ended up creating a little bundle of mini 4" cards, with cute envelopes with stamped faces on, I think these faces might be popping up on many things now... (is anything safe?) The tag uses the digi head, I simply cut the card at a funky angle and stamped love and hearts, I think they've showed up on every card too lol!

Here's the colours I've used for this whole set, oooh and a new sharpie white marker for those sparkle dots.

 I would love to enter these into a few crafty challenges:

Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing in our release today, I hope you're just as excited about this release a my children, it's currently their all time favourite set, their creativity with these stamps have been totally brilliant!

Enjoy a wonderfully creative day!!!

Paperbabe Stamps ~ Mayleedee in Wonderland

Welcome, I'm so pleased you stopped by today,
Well you'll be pleased to know the new releases are now in the Shop... YAY!

It's the finale day of introductions and we're introducing
Mayleedee in Wonderland

It has been quite some time since Mayleedee graced us and what better way than to help celebrate Alice in Wonderlands 150th Anniversary(isn't she's doing well?)

She is currently available as a digital stamp, she comes in JPEG & PNG format. She is created large enough for you to print large OR scale down to a smaller size! I'm providing you with six images, three in jpeg and their counterparts as png.

Here's my sample
I've added the quote using the Watercolour alphabet stamp set.
I chose the faint outline version, which I've coloured using copic markers
I've tried to keep it clean and simple,
I am mostly inspired by the first time I saw Alice's adventures in Wonderland a 1972 film with Fiona Fullerton as Alice, she certainly didn't have blond hair and her look always stayed with me.

Mayleedee in Wonderland

I thought I would enter my card to a few fun challenges:
Well it's been quite a hectic week, the first release in some time, I'm pretty banjaxed right now, but I will be back next week to share some projects!
Enjoy a wonderfully creative weekend

Craft Stamper Blog Hop – Looking Back

Hello and welcome to this stop on the Craft Stamper Hop!

You should hopefully have hopped over here from the talented Kate BentleyIf your just visiting then be sure to pop over to the Craft Stamper Blog to join in, as there are lots of prizes to be won!

Hi, well I'm Kim and I have been part of the Craft Stamper Magazine Design team since 2009, WOW I still pinch myself about that... Here's the post about my first published piece! I love being published in their fabulous magazine, and 2012 saw quite a few of my projects on the front cover Thank You! I hope I inspire readers to create whatever their imagination conjures up.

I can't quite narrow my style to anything specific I've always described it as a fusion of everything I love, like my next project will demonstrate.

I went for an arty piece for the blog hop, I'm so pleased with how it came out... totally fusion,  let me explain

I started by printing this stunning image by the talented Krista from Saturated Canary.This is what I love about digital stamps you can print to any size.

 Of course I used my copics, lots of airbrushing for the background, and even through the castle stencil, I used a few Lavinia stamps for the grasses and foliage.

The water texture was created by stamping woodgrain and heat embossing in clear. Then I airbrushed over, notice the castle reflection? I simply turned the stencil over. Using a clear copic I brushed lightly over some of the embossed areas to create ripples.

So one thing I really had to get a hang of for a feature in Craft Stamper was using embossing paste and stencils, I love the effect and very impressed with how well it works on glass, really stays on there (think I can see a few more projects on the horizon)

This is the image with the glass from the frame laid on top.

I also followed my technique of embossing paste on acetate adding a generous sprinkling of stickles dry glitter.

So here's the finished project...

thought I would share my sample sheet, had so many ideas too, a glimpse to see the process unfold.

I hope you enjoyed my post! Your next stop on the hop is the wonderful Jo Firth-Young.

Also before you go the hop letter to collect from me is: U

If you get stuck on the hop at any time, pop back to Craft Stamper for the full list of participants.

THE April issue of the Craft Stamper Magazine is already out on sale, Friday 4th...
I have two articles in this issue... Thank you Katy!

This month’s free cover mount stamp is a pretty, delicate butterfly designed for us by Chocolate Baroque. AND my little circle card is on the front cover, can you see? look to the left just above the butterfly image LOL!!! It's ALL good!

I also show you that digi stamping can be so much more than just characters to colour in.. printing on different materials, digi backgrounds and more.

Hope you get hold of a copy there's some stunning inspiration inside!

Club Anya & Friends Sketch Saturday #26

This is my second post today so please scroll down for my Basic Grey challenges card

Over at Club Anya & Friends it's Saturday sketch #26!

This is a little different for me, I ordered myself some Grafix Rub Onz transfer film! Have you heard of it? Well... I absolutely love it, I printed off Creeper jack, followed the instructions and now have him in a cool rub on, I also printed other images and they adorn the childrens belongings wah ha ha! Pretty much followed Pam's sketch but just changed it a bit by making it into a gate fold card, reckon it works pretty good for a bloke card! The circle I dry embossed with my nesty then ripped the paper along the outer edge! Did you notice my Washi tape pull? Just simply folded over the edge. Sentiment is stamped beside Jack rub on and I used black pen to doodle border.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Basic Grey: Oliver; basic~manilla; Grafix Rub Onz ~ transfer film;
Stamps: The Greeting Farm: CC Jack - digi; talk loud;
Ink: Archival & printer: black;
Dies: Spellbinders nestabilities: circles; labels 8;
Other: TheGreetingFarm: Washi Tape; 3D foam;

Thanks for stopping by, Have a wonderful creative weekend...
