Tim Holtz ~ 12 Tags of 2012 ~ March

I decided to join in with Lord Tim's 12 Tags of 2012...

It's so nice to join in at leisure instead of the rushing to get 12 tags done at Christmas. :)

My colours look a little dark, also used a different wood grain, which I decided to heat emboss to get fabby texture, forgetting to stamp the sentiment first doh! But think it worked alright I just heat embossed the sentiment as well!

Followed the directions fro the butterflies as instructed lol, had those things! But as I don't have cement antiquities embossing powder I opted for a more sandy looking grout and used distress ep, Mediterranean butterflies!

Now, for my foliage on the bottom area of tag I just had to try the enamelled effect with distress ep's.

It's great to see all the entries this month..
Also signed up for Tim's

All good fun!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today I know my post are coming in dribs and drabs!!!

Simon Says Stamp and Show A Tag!

It's Monday, which means we have a new theme at...

and this week is A Tag!!!

Well, my tag started by stamping Tim's Fabulous flourishes with silver paint dabber, then lots of faded jeans distress ink applied all over.

Inspired by seeing this amazing tutorial over at THE Classroom I wanted to try making a lily, as I don't have the same supplies I used Tim's mini leaf die, looked here for inspiration then coloured using copics.

WOW... I just love that the sentiments from stuff to say fits perfectly into the mini Heart die. I've inked with distress inks and added distress stickles!

Also trimmed a few special words to fit in my bottle top embellishment, I used a gem gear in the base and filled with clear Utee using my fabulous melting pot.

Ok so the back of my tag is a bit of a mess but I have to show the Small Easel die, cut from packaging, LOVE IT, now I can make some more of my angels that can stand, woo hoo!!!

So check out the goodies at...
Photobucket

Hope it inspires and why not pop round to the rest of the team's stunning tags!!!

Simon Says Stamp & Show ~ TAG

Good Morning, ooh Monday so...
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
everyone...

 hope you had a fabulous weekend and ready for this week's theme at

Your Tags

It all started because I wanted to try some cork sheet with Tim's Tag & bookplate die, Of course I backed the cork with some card first, then continued to embellish with a few of Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 stamps... for the sentiment, the Background, the leaves & tag. You might notice that the leaves and letters are covered with clear rock candy crackle paint, then inked.

Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die was used to create the huge flower, each flower layer was stamped with designer woodgrain using distress inks... Finished with a shimmering of copper perfect pearls. The heart is hanging from a jump ring attached to a memo pin which is secured into the cork pretty well. The ribbon is Websters pages gorgeous winter trims...

Hope it inspires and why not pop round the rest of the team to see their awesome tags!!!

Your Tags!!!

For me tags are the best way to really experiment and try out new techniques on a smaller scale...
So, I've created a layered tag probably because I didn't want to cover the 'perfect' image!

Seriously fired brick distress ink with copper perfect pearl is STUNNING!!!. It is really effective for the perfect distress technique which I've used on the large tag and had to apply to the wings on the grungepaper butterfly too. Also wanted to direct you to the button in the centre punched rosette.. It was originally blue I love this accoutrement of Tim's but never seem to create with that tone of blue. So... I got out my versamark pen and applied directly to the button and dabbed on the perfect pearl powder to these areas, then heat set.

The sentiment has been stamped on sticky back canvas, adhered to thin grey board and cut using styled labels die. I then inked with distress inks, stamped with Wendy Vecchi script background and finished off with a spritz of distress ink & copper perfect pearls.

An extra styled labels tag was cut from the clear acrylic packaging (you know the fabby stuff your die's come in) as I wanted the butterfly to appear like it's floating. Die cut the butterfly body from adhesive foam too so it would look better at the back!

The ball chain was added to give you the ability to move and read the sentiment. The 7gypsy's seam binding has been heavily creased, spritzed with glimmer mist and tied to the top.

Stamps used are Wendy Vecchi and Tim holtz.

Hope it inspires and why not pop round the rest of the team to see their fabulous tags!!!

SSS & Show... Something SPOoooOKY!!!

It's Monday and this week
Simon Says Stamp and Show...

Something SPOOKY

I decided to make a coffin shaped treat box from gorgeous Graphic 45 HALLOWEEN IN WONDERLAND  papers. Decorated the top with a small skeleton.

My spooky tag was created by inking some glossy card with distress inks, heat embossing the forgotten garden image from Tim Holtz URBAN TAPESTRY stamps. Then I sanded the background to distress it.

Using the spider from Wendy Vecchi BOTANICAL ART stamp as the starting point for the web, which I hand drew with WHITE INKSSENTIAL PEN. I then blended rusty hinge distress ink all over the tag to give a spooky glow and finished with red adhesive gem.

I hope it inspires and do check out the rest of the teams spookay creations!

Simon Says Stamp & Show us your Numbers!!!

This week over at Simon Says Stamp and Show our theme to inspire is... NUMBERS!

And we have a wonderful prize... of a $25 gift voucher..... donated by our wonderful site sponsor Simon Says Stamp
Please forgive my extreme lateness in posting my make I have been unwell all weekend and with the little ones on tow I'm sooooo slow at managing anything routinely!!!
After pondering what I could do to incorporate numbers I started to see them in numerous stamps and items! Lots of Wendy's Vecchi Stamps include numbers... like her Dimensional Rose art which is the background under the clear embossed leaves.
Nature's art sentiment says the number one by one which has been stamped onto a ticket which also has numbers LOL! Even the wonderful butterfly from Botanical art has numbers in its pattern.
Then to include even more numbers I covered grungepaper with Tim Holtz tissue tape and stamped flowers from live and make art in coffee archival ink before cutting and inking with distress ink. Then finished off with a bingo game piece <~ more numbers)

I hope you are inspired and check out the rest of the teams stunning creations!

Studio L3 ~ Tinted Vision

Something a little different from me today...

I'm entering the challenge over at Linda's lovely blog Studio L3 where it's week seven of the Compendium of Curiosities challenge. The challenge is Tim's Tinted Vision Fragments Technique on page 55 of the book. I've been meaning to get on with the fabulous projects int his book and this has given me the nudge to give it a go. I needed to create a quick project and thought I would embellish a tag.

I didn't have a little photo ready so I've used this pretty glitter rub on of a girl whispering to her teddy, I have applied it to some canvas cloth then glued on my tinted fragment as Tim's instructions... I may need a few more alcohol ink colours!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: October Afternoon: thrift shop;
Stamps: Tim Holtz: Fanciful flourish; Studio G: alphabet; Image: vintage glittered ~ rub on;
Ink: Archival: black; Ranger ~ distress inks; alcohol inks;
Dies: Spellbinders: flower creations 3;
Other: Prima: lace; sequin cemtres; adhesive pearls; Tim's: memo pin; filmstrip ribbon; fragments; adhesive pearls; paper rose; hemp twine; 3D foam;

Thanks for stopping by, It's release day for The Greeting Farm and there's a live chat tonight 7pm CST (1am UKian time) for a one hour chat on PCP, our HUGE customer Blog Hop on the TGF blog, and we cannot WAIT to celebrate TGF's second birthday with you!!!
