You don't have to be Perfect...

Thanks for visiting...
We have a new anything goes challenge on the blog today and...
I created this cute little card featuring the very versatile whimsical woodland set.
The patterned panel was very simple to create stamping the dinky images in the four sets, using a few distress oxides inks. The fox and the bunny were stamped in versafine twilight, which is much more blue than the darker colour in the pictures.
I fussy cut them out and raised them with dimensional adhesive.

Whimsical Woodland Nymph

Thanks for visiting... and a Happy New Creative Year!
We have a new anything goes challenge on the blog today and...
I actually created a card, my first creative project this year, full of woodland fantasy. I was probably inspired because I was sorting out my copic pens and just really wanted to use them lol.
I decided to mix up the hair styles by combining the fringe of the messy bun with the tails of the wavy bunches. Her face was stamped using the 3/4 view female face, I used morning mist ink. I wanted her to be part of the woodland and I've made her skin a much greener tone, but it didn't photo well.
I added woodland details like the bunny and mushrooms from the Whimsical woodland set, along with the Dinky Hands. When I realised she could hold the bunny I was delighted, actually there's a lot of the images in the set, she can hold that way.
The Moon and stars were stamped from the Bat wings set. I've added some sizzix funky foliage in glitter and rainbow, I wanted them to almost 'glow'.

Here's the copics colours I used as I forgot to photograph them:
Skin; R000, YG0000,41, RV02, BV02, B60
Eyes & Lips; E04,18, R29, RV02
Hair; RV02,66,69
Background; B39, BV29

and I would love to enter my project to these wonderful challenges too...

Paperbabe Stamps challenge #77 ~ Picture Inspiration

Good morning, thank you for visiting today,

this fortnight's new challenge is a picture inspiration,
check out the Paperbabe Stamps blog for details...
I was running dangerously low on generic handmade cards, they seem to be disappearing... hmmm
So I thought I would batch make a few, they are about 4" square, which is great if you want your card to be at the front of the card display(just saying).
I started of by creating the multicoloured background using the adorable whimsical woodland set. I am loving these distress oxides, the colours are dreamy.
The stamping platform really came into play for this type of card, being able to stamp one colour numerous times in the correct place, is wonderful.
I have die cut a heart to create and aperture and stamped the sentiments. The sentiments are also in this set so I managed to get a few card types, using just this one set(love).
I found some washi that mimicked the yummy flowers, added a little faux stitching, and adhered a tiny wooden heart from the substrates kit.

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #42 ~ Wings Challenge

Good Morning, wow has it been two weeks already?...
There's so much going on behind the scenes I forget to add interesting posts to my blog, well at least my fortnightly challenges keep me active on here, we have a lovely theme challenge over on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today...
It's all about wings, so I went for a special fairy she has a butterfly friend (obviously). I started by drawing my fairy using the curly fringe style from the mini profile templates and the winter fairy wingswith plain old pencil and drew her a hand too using mini poseable hand as her friend needed a perch.
I have stamped her features with the coordinating face stamp with either grey or black inks. The butterfly was created using the butterfly pieridae set, I masked the large wing before stamping the back wing, I just love how well this works :)
So, the whole thing was coloured using copic markers, yum It's been awhile since I've coloured anything quite so big, I cut an A4 to 6", I had done the whole sheet but didn't like the arm placement so trimmed the bottom off, as you do.

I was trying to achieve a soft nearly watercolour look with my copic colour choices, it was quite a challenge. Her wing didn't come out as I had imagined and I ended up covering the whole thing in wink of stella glitter.
I then decided to make this a tri fold card and finished off with an adorable little sentiment from the whimsical woodland set 1(fox)
