Mixed Media Card Art Published in Craft Stamper Magazine!!!

While I have a moment, I just wanted to mention that Paperbabe stamps are in August's issue of Craft Stamper magazine, which came out in the shops Friday 1st July, Yay, Thank you Trish.
I'm amongst some amazing designers in this lovely issue.
This month is a special Card Making issue! Showing you how to translate all those mixed media techniques to cards, so every feature in this issue has at least one card example for you to see!
My feature was the Card Art starting from pg 60.
I have a step by step tutorial showing how I colour hair using copics, I created a few mixed media cards, I use coloured pencils for the faces and copics for their hair and as this little card wasn't in the issue I can share it in blog land...
The face is using the lovely female face stamps and my mixed media templates for the Girl and her hair.
And I am loving my butterfly set, I think they just add that bit little extra, I did consider stamping them as part of the image but realised that colouring around something so small would be a tad trickier, how easy to simply trim them.

copies of the magazine are available here:
Digital copies are also available here:

While I have a moment, I just wanted to mention that Paperbabe stamps are in this months issue of Simply Cards & Papercrafts #141 YAY!
Thank you Aimes
In fact if you look closely you can see one of my Christmas cards on the front(left) eek.
I have a step by step master class demonstrating how to master the no-line colouring technique that's so popular in crafts!

A few sneak peeks...

I am loving the sparkle spray over the pastel pencils on this snowman, it really gives a festive finish.
And Reindeer Fusions really came into it's own, I am loving this deer, he was fussy cut, so probably for those special handmade christmas cards :)
And here's reindeer fusions again, I've a step by step of this cutie using pastel pencils and finished with sparkle spray yum!

I hope to be back into the swing of things very soon, so bear with me.
Enjoy a wonderfully creative weekend!

Mixed Media Templates Variation

Thanks Trish for sharing another of my projects on the Craft Stamper Blog

I wanted to show how easy it is to use the templates and stamps on a card, this time I paper pieced, drawing around the templates on patterned paper. I used the Long & fringe template for her hair, I only used the one layer. I've stamped her face onto another piece of patterned paper trying to keep the pretty flower on her cheek. See how I used only the solid part to stamp her lips? I love how versatile this set can be. Then it was just a matter of putting it together and adding highlights and special sentiment.

You should be able to find a copy of Craft Stamper in all good craft stores across the UK or if you want yours instantly then you can download a copy from Pocketmags! If you want to make sure you never miss a copy then you can also call Craft Stamper's friendly Customer Service team on 01684 588599 and subscribe!

Enjoy a wonderfully creative day,
I will be back on Sunday to share a special blog candy!
See you then

Paperbabe is a cover girl YAY!!!

My Mixed Media Girl is a Cover girl YAY!

The August issue of Craft Stamper is out today and I was over the moon delighted to have my work adorn the front cover of this months Craft Stamper, wow and I've been so very busy filling orders already, in fact I've already ordered a new batch of Profile face stamps because my stock is now very very low! (be warned)
I created this canvas using my profile face stamp set and profile mixed media templates. On pages 50 and 51 of the issue, I share how to use the stamps with the templates, how I created my mixed media background with lots of really helpful step by step pictures.
Here's a little close up of my painted face, I like ceramcoat matte acrylic for it's smooth finish! I created these stamps and templates to make learning to draw easy for every level of artistic ability. You see I think everyone can draw, I just created some tools to get you there!!! How you use them is purely your artistic license.
I used the stars in the stamp set to add gold leaf shimmeriness, yum!

Thanks Trish for sharing another of my projects on the Craft Stamper Blog
I wanted to show how easy it is to use the templates and stamps on anything, this is a tiny notebook, I really thought I was ordering larger ones, but hey you just got to work with what you've got! I used the wavy hairstyle, but had it flowing forward instead of over her face, so easy to adjust them to suit your needs! The sentiment was from Just because stamp set.

Check Out Craft Stamper!!!

So I received my copy of Craft Stamper this morning and...

I have two articles in this issue... Thank you Katy!

THE August issue of the Craft Stamper Magazine went on sale, yesterday Fri 5th...

I did a feature called The Captain's Table, yes it's as fun as it sounds...
this nautical themed table setting was inspired by PaperArtsy's fabulous Hot picks 1111, 1201,
I created little table setting beach huts, that will adorn the table, you can even pop a safety tea light inside, the lids come off for easy use, as do the doors.

I also created table mats with coasters, bunting, invitation cards, and these nautical themed cupcake toppers!

Plus...
I have a card in the Ready Set Stamp regular feature.

And if that wasn't enough you may want to get your hands on a copy as...
quess what?

The first impressions page has a set of Paperbabe Stamps for a giveaway. WooHoo!!!

Thank you for all your support on the release of my stamps, I had the best time!
Have a wonderful weekend hope it's shining where you are

Craft Stamper Cover Girl and catching up

You're probably wandering if I had in fact dropped of the side of the planet but noo I'm still here, things have been more then hectic around here.. although I haven't blogged since the end of July it certainly hasn't stopped me crafting at all!
THE Feb issue of the Craft Stamper Magazine is already out on sale, Friday 6th...
I have two articles in this issue... but better then that I am on THE FRONT COVER!!!
 WOO HOO Thank you Katy!

It's so very exciting to see myself in print every month but published on the cover tops it all! I had such great fun creating these projects, they have a special clever mechanism for which I created a step by step tutorial, turn to page 8 to get the details!

These are just a little sneak peek of the motion half way through turning, fun hey?

Next is a little make for the stamping contrast feature... I thought it would be fun to create my own die cut look with a few stamps!

I'm not sure how much blogging I will get to do now as our family journey is taking new routes... I have taken on the amazing challenge of home educating my children, Dillon had to cope with all sorts of bullying at school even camp and his education was greatly effected, I can't think of anything better then studying at home where he can develop and grow into the amazing boy he is destined to become!

I have so much more projects to share on here, but that can wait for another day!
Thank you to all who continue to follow me I can't tell you how much that touches my heart you are what makes blogging so enjoyable...

Have a wonderfully creative day and if you have them, give those kiddies a HUGE HuG!!!
Kim :)
