Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #79 ~ Sketch?

Good morning, we have our wonderful fortnightly challenge over at the Paperbabe Stamps blog...
It's a sketch challenge, although I might have to explain my interpretation of it lol...
I used the sketch as a jumping point to create my earth fairy on this card,
started by drawing her using the profile head and torso, along with the long & fringe hairstyle. I've stamped her face in grey ink and painted her using watercolours.
I've given her a headdress of roses which is covering her pretty pointy ears...
I have gold embossed the outline, before adding watercolours in a fun blend.
the sentiment didn't fit in a straight line so I manipulated on the block into a curvy one.

Here, I wanted to demonstrate how close to the sketch she was in real time... by placing the sketch directly over my card.

I would like to share my card to these great challenges:

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #73 ~ Picture Inspiration

This Fortnight's new challenge is a picture inspiration so time to have some creative fun! Check out the Paperbabe Stamps blog for details...

Ok onto my project...
I was inspired by the female figure in the inspiration pic, my background reflects the ombre tones of her dress, which I created brayering distress oxide onto a gelli plate, the ink really goes along way, I love the soft blend.
I then drew directly on the inked background using the Wavy profile mixed media templates with the head and torso and the profile face stamp mini. I've stamped her facial features in grey ink to keep the palette soft
I loved the stark contrast of the figure's hair so kept that by colouring her wavy hair in copics. I hadn't stamped her ear yet and ended up hiding it under her hair, which I bet you wouldn't have noticed had I not said so now lol.
I wanted to keep the ombre throughout the girl but decided to add The floral pattern to her torso which was created by stamping the adorable flowers from the Whimsical woodland set. I used the same distress oxides as the background, with a little red ink and white pen for the centres.
I loved the l little circle stamp in whimsical woodland set and added the details along the edges. I finished with a butterfly, and a sentiment built from the Birthday Wishes set.

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #65 ~ Picture Inspiration

Morning, it's been a crazy couple of weeks trying to get Dillon into a new school, my home educating him has reached it's end and I'm handing it over to the professionals lol.

We have a new challenge on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today...
This years colour is ultra violet so I thought it would be fun to use.

I confess that I completely struggle with colour but I gave the challenge a go...
I've used the mini profile Curly hair and Head & Torso mixed media templates, with the profile face stamp on a wooden block canvas.
I coloured her in using stabilo all graphite pencil, a little white for highlights. The background is golden fluid acrylic paint in violet. I love how the translucency soaks into the wood keeping the grain.
I have stamped her features in grey ink so it would work well with pencil. The pupil in black ink. I also thought I would add a few freckles but not sure they look like she have chicken pox instead... lol.
The crown has been heat embossed along with a few stars from the profile stamp set.
The roses inspired from the picture adorn her top I used the rose border stamp which I will get new stock as soon as I can... I've outlined some of her in black posca pen and added details with white posca pen.

Paperbabe Stamps challenge #47 ~ Anything Goes...

We have restarted the challenge on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today...
Yay! It's anything goes so....

I created this mixed media piece,
using profile templates long & fringe and Head & Torso along with the mini profile face stamp set. A butterfly sits atop a peony...
I love the shimmer in this watercolour paint, I even managed to make a video which I will upload tomorrow to show how I created this and how those butterflies were added to her hair.

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #38 ~ Anything Goes

Good Morning...

Here's my latest project for the current challenge over on the Paperbabe Stamps blog...
I really haven't done many atc's in fact I think these are the first that I've ever actually swapped with another person... I know
This is using my mixed media templates and profile face stamp, I loved the background and felt it was a shame to cover up... so just painted her face.
Although I did paint the hair here, and you can hardly see the background but you know its there...
These are the four that I swapped, I used a sentiment stamped on tissue and trimmed to fit on four cards to make them a set... and the butterfly stamp set with gold on vellum for added interest,
