Mixed Media Templates Variation

Thanks Trish for sharing another of my projects on the Craft Stamper Blog

I wanted to show how easy it is to use the templates and stamps on a card, this time I paper pieced, drawing around the templates on patterned paper. I used the Long & fringe template for her hair, I only used the one layer. I've stamped her face onto another piece of patterned paper trying to keep the pretty flower on her cheek. See how I used only the solid part to stamp her lips? I love how versatile this set can be. Then it was just a matter of putting it together and adding highlights and special sentiment.

You should be able to find a copy of Craft Stamper in all good craft stores across the UK or if you want yours instantly then you can download a copy from Pocketmags! If you want to make sure you never miss a copy then you can also call Craft Stamper's friendly Customer Service team on 01684 588599 and subscribe!

Enjoy a wonderfully creative day,
I will be back on Sunday to share a special blog candy!
See you then

This is my second post today, you can scroll down to see my Club Anya Card Thanks!

Now, for today's weekly challenge over at quixotic challenges blog...

It's my turn to set the challenge this week and I opted for "Miniatures... "
small cards or notecards no bigger then three inches.

These were so much fun.. lovely things come in small packages tee hee!
I have paper pieced each horse with the same patterned paper as the matt layer!

I've used copics to add shadows and tone. Then had to embellish with a little viva decor glitter liner...

All the edges have been inked and a knot of hemp twine to hold the sentiment tags. I've also added a flat back gem to the shooting star image!

The finished cards are three inches square and would be a great gift!
I couldn't resist making co-ordinating envelopes too, you might just make out I've stamped the star image in the corners!

This week Martine has designed a fabulous sketch for us. I have been waiting to use this stamp set too ha ha ha, I slowly getting through my growing stash. I had a little fun with colours as you can see with the clouds, I've paper pieced everything :). The sky background on the circle I've created using the cloud image as a mask and blending with distress ink. A little drawn line to represent the square layer in the sketch and then those corners... Really struggled with them, they feel slightly plonked on!!!

HuGs for You ~ FFF and PDCC

Good Morning, I realise there's a fantastic Monday Mania challenge over at Club Anya & Friends but I've been wanting to use this adorable image for a while now...

  My card is based on the fabulous FFF sketch over at The Greeting farm and I decided to combine this with the colour challenge over at Play Date Cafe too. I treated myself to some pink paislee papers from the Stamp Attic while I was there ~ art journalling "Hello ladies"... (getting inky and messy, tee hee) Wendy has a fabulous shop I could have spent the day in there, a proper crafty treasure trove.
So on to the card... I have paper pieced the adorable grandma although some of the pattern is a little lost in the picture. I made the canvas flower by inking some sticky back canvas with distress inks and stamping the dotty background. Then, I have die cut and adhered two back to back to get a double sided petal (probably should have done that before I passed it through my big shot!). The BG brad just went so well with the colours and I have stamped the sentiment directly onto the taffeta ribbon. I fussy cut the flowery leaves and raised on a little foam.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: pink paislee; Queen Bee;
Stamps: The Greeting Farm: Grammie & Gramps set; PTI: Polka Dot basics II;
Ink: Memento & archival: black; Copic: markers*; distress inks*;
Dies: Sizzix: TH tattered florals;
Other: BG: glazed brad; Taffeta ribbon; Studio: sticky back canvas; Prima: lace; TH ruler, pokey tool & edge distresser; 3D foam;

*Skin: E000, 11, 13 & R20, eyes: B41, Hair: E35, 97 Outfit: RV21, E04, YG93, C-3, I used my colourless Blender throughout!!!

* spun sugar, worn lipstick, bundled sage, antique linen, old paper,

Thank you for stopping by, hope you have a good start to your week, HuGs Kim :)

Well, I used both...(smile) the cute Kenya Ketto has been paper pieced by first stamping and heating embossing using black powder then in some areas I have coloured with copic markers. She's been cut out and raised on dimensional foam. The other embossing on my card is behind the letters.. I used an embossing folder on some gorgeous BG papers. You can click on the little images for a close look because I wanted to capture the sheen of the heat embossing.

Be Inspired - Be Yourself....

Thought it was about time I bought one of the fantastic Hero Arts stamp sets, this would be my first set (it's not easy picking just one from the amazing collection) and so I had a to have a go at the wonderful Challenge over on the Hero Arts blog "be inspired" which is also my first. Lucy Abrahms was the inspiration behind this card, I haven't cased just one but taken lots of her signature elements. Bright colours on Kraft and fabulous dimensional labels 1 frame.

Edited to add: Wanted to share a few of the techniques I have used here... the leaves I have stamped directly onto the patterned paper with versamark and heated with clear embossing powder, I then cut out and have adhered with a few of the leaves on dimensional foam. I have die cut the frame in core'dinations whitewash papers, embossed with cutb'g folder and sanded slightly. The bird I have stamped directly onto the base card, and two decorative papers, cut out and raised on foam. Thanks for asking and you're very welcome...

Pop out Scene... Stampin Chic's

The Technique challenge this week over at Stampin Chics Blog was to try a Pop up....
Make you creation interactive and give someone a surprise as they open it up! Don't forget that you need to use at least 1 item from the CCSR range...

I'm a little late posting mine but here is the front of my card and have let the yummy busy paper do it's thang!!!

So onto the inside, this is what will be revealed when you open it, Don't think I'm lazy either for not colouring in (as you will know I Ycolouring) I was following an idea!!! got totally inspired to create a scene using cutouts like they do for the very famous Paddington Bear children's program. So I went to work and drew the bench, grass and trees, I used Clare's fabulous stamps for the rest of the scene! Then cut it all out and assembled so that it would lay flat when the card was closed.The Characters in Paddington Bear are always coloured in so I paper pieced the Chic with the patterned papers and coloured with my whispers pens.

Products used:
Papers: White card, WRMK - nonsense, Core'dinations,Stamps: CCSR - Doodles set, Sentiments, Stampin Chic Party, Jesse Edwards,Ink: Clearsnap - Queues Fluid ink, Vivid - Black, Whispers brush pens,Other: PM - flowers, brads, 3d foam, circle punches,

Well I hope you get the chance to have a go It was great fun and challenging, take a look at the rest of the Team they created some fantastic examples, HuGs Kim YThanks for stopping by...

BG challenge #33 - Black, Grey and one more

This weeks challenge is up on the BasicGrey blog and this time it's a fun colour combo...

The colour I picked for the challenge is pink and I was inspired to create a z-fold card. I have paper pieced the beautiful miss Anya and coloured the rest with my copics. Although I probably should have thought about die cutting her out before I stuck the papers onto the image. As it is I did it afterwards and the paper piecing has become flush with the background. I have embellished the image with a little bling and some gloss for the bag!
The flower I have created by stamping the stalk in black ink onto BG pink paper and cutting out. I have stamped the flower head a few times and created a dimensional piece which I embellished with pearls and glossy accents. Card has been finished off with ribbon and tag, click images for a close up.

Materials:
Paper: BG - Ambrosia, sultry, black, grey & pink card,
Stamps: BG - different strokes(offbeat), TGF - Miss Anya, PTI - mixed messages,
Ink: Archival Ink - Black, colourbox, copic markers,
Die's: Nestabilities, Cutb'g - tag
Other: 3D foam, BG - ribbon, MS - hearts border punch, Bling, adhesive pearls, glossy accents,
Thanks for stopping by I hope you have a wonderful May weekend, Thanks ♥ HuGs Kim x
