Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #72 ~ Anything goes

Can't believe it's been this long since I have posted on here, lots going on behind scenes.
This Fortnight's new challenge is an anything goes so time to have some creative fun! Check out the Paperbabe Stamps blog for details...

Ok onto my project...
I have wanted to do a shaped card for a while and thought the Cat mixed media templates would be perfect for this.
I started by drawing the front of the cat directly onto some gelli prints I had made,
I folded the paper on the left side of the drawn cat, I then cut the two layers together leaving a little of the fold to form the hinge.
I drew the front legs on a separate piece of the gelli print paper as well as the tail, and adhered in place. Everything has had a inky edge treatment with black distress ink.
I stamped the cat face and added details to the paws with black pencil.

More Paper Smooches :)

I just love Kim's spiffy scooters set, how adorable is that vintage scooter?
I've coloured using my copics and paper pieced the clouds and road.

This card is based on one of Kim's designer drafts #2

These were created with Kim's fabby templates... I couldn't reisist the worm popping out of the apple LOL! This card has all been paper pieced using Vintage blue papers and the edges inked.

I created something a little fun with this cupcake card, using the template and the wonderful vegtastic stamp set... I made it into a carrot cake.

*****

It's such heartbreaking news when I heard about the earthquake/tsunami in Japan.
 I know I haven't mentioned anything about it, I don't want to see the footage it's not that I don't care I just can't comprehend the magnitude of what is happening...  there are things happening in the world that go beyond what I can cope with.
I want to help like so many of us...
 I wish I could give more... and I came across
Shin Tanaka has designed a wonderful paper model to help requesting donations for the relief fund!...

Dillon and I will often spend time making paper models together and this one was adorable, thank you!
Maoleidigh loves it too! A little kiss of hope :)

They are in my thoughts and prayers... let us continue to pray and encourage those who are hurting, struggling. Let us rally as a community and send support to those in Japan who are lost, scared, needing rescue, needing hope ♥

Quixotic Paperie November challenge

This month is... No Square or Rectangle?

So your project can be any shape you like as long as it isn't square or rectangular!

Also this month there is a chance to win a fabulous prize donated from Quixotic Paperie by Elaine, picked randomly. There will also be the opportunity to work with us as a guest designer as each month the DT will pick their favourites from the entries and one will win a guest DT spot for a month...

Here's my make, nothing square about this little cutie lol...

I was so inspired by Jo Kill's fabulous punched penguins in papercrafts inspirations, I simply HAD to have a go. I've made a mini card using my largest circle nestabilites, as I don't own circle punches and got to work assembling him using patterned papers form the scrummy pink paislee christmas pad.

His hat I have paper pieced from the greeting farm's Xmas sweeties and the sentiment is from TGF keep cosy set.

The tando creative chipboard was so fun to embellish and decorate I've gone to town with beads and glitter and gems, although I had to stop myself adding more LOL!

Second day of Club Anya & Friends Previews!!!

Good Morning, this is the second day of previews at Club Anya & Friend's and also Saturday Sketch time! Now, this is my second post already this morning so if you would love to... you can scroll down for the new BG challenge and my basic grey sample...

Well, I've place my pocket card beside Pam's fabulous sketch so you could see the similarity to the original LOL! See? I have only split the top rectangle into two. I was going to use the same patterned paper but it was a little OTT!

Am I allowed to totally love this card? tee hee... Amelia is such a little doll! so adorable and I LOVE her fab hair - couldn't you imagine her pig tails bouncing past, ha ha ha? She's available with Oliver and sentiments too... at The Greeting Farm on the 1st. You may have spotted my Tim flower again, seriously the die just keeps falling into my hands! To get the really soft scruffy petals I ran it through my crimper in different directions then pressed into mouse mat with the end of a pokey tool thingy.
It's soo subtle... you might just see... in the top picture that I have stamped Amelia with distress ink on the insert of my card, to create a shadow image, should be able to write over it. And her stars have all be embellished with a generous amount of glitter!!!

Masculine Suit Card,

Hello I just wanted to show this card... I was asked to create one for a special friend's dad who turned 90 the other week, wow such a fantastic age...

The suit card is because he from the generation who always wear a suit, I have created the jacket to open at the button which is held together with a magnet. I have taken ALOT of pictures to try and show the different opening and the inside and the lining and the shirt. Wanted to point out that the tie is in fact a copy of a map of Ireland as he comes from there (although he had to miss his party over there due to the dust cloud!)
I have die cut the word dad which happens to fit in with the challenge over at Daring Cardmakers hee hee!!! I have stamped the houndstooth pattern directly onto the grey card with distress inks! On the inside is a fabulous PTI sentiment!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: October afternoon; K&Co; MM: Natural cardstock;
Stamps: Cornish Heritage Farm: houndstooth Scrapblock; PTI: father knows best;
Ink: printer; distress inks: Black; Dies: Sizzix: alphabet;
Other: button; tracer; 3D foam;

Thanks so much for stopping by, I must dash and get things sorted around here... because I'm off out for the evening with OH, he's taking me to the 02 to see Jeff Dunham ha ha ha he cracks me up!!!!

Have a wonderful weekend HuGs Kim :)

Phew!!!! Loads to share....:)

Well I'm amongst a huge number of peeps suffering from the nasty coughs and fluiness stuff! So heartbreaking to hear your little ones coughing :( which means I haven't posted quite as much this week as I have wanted and there's so much to share....

Firstly I'm in this months Craft stamper magazine (wooo hoooo) with fun step by step projects using background stamps as a resist Thank you Katy I loved making these projects. So thought I would share a few sneak peeks...

For this issue I have created a few projects using background stamps and some of the gorgeous Hero arts Stamps I won some time ago... Also resist and under colouring it really is amazing the different textures you can achieve.
Click the magazine cover here to take you to the Craft Stamper website...

Now onto a project I created the other day for the Club Anya Monday challenge
Complete Package yesterday. The challenge is to alter an item for a holiday gift... Here's my effort's I did use Vivi Sprout simply as I haven't inked her up yet and she's part of a set so should be OK for the CA challenge rules...

I happen to have an extensive collection of these fabulous acrylic boxes which I buy my dies's in they're actually fantastic to die cut and can make wonderful ghost shapes that you can ink and the inspiration can just go go on and on. Instead I have cut an snowflake aperture, which I've secured with another smaller snowflake. The front of the box I have inked with my snow cap dabber paint so the flake really stands out and looks a little snowy too hey? I have stamped all my images and coloured with my copic markers. Now what is hard to see is the fabulous fun flock on all the fluffy trims, their hats and cuffs and so soft. Of course I have finished them all with a generous spritz of scrummilicious glimmer mist (YUMMO!!!)

The ornament cards I thought would be a good gift for peeps who's Christmas card stack has overtaken their living quarters and in case there might just be a spare tree branch for a special thank you! You can click on the smaller images for a close look at all the sparkle =). I have also made some little envelopes and stamped the front with greeting farm tag stamps!

Supplies: Patterned Paper:
TGF: Christmas paper pack; Kraft; Stamps: TGF: Xmas sweeties; merry tags; My guy Ian; WS: Vivi; Ink: Memento: Black; Tim's Holtz: distress inks; Copic: markers; Dies: Sizzix: Snowflake; Provocraft: snowflake; Nesties: circles; MS: border punch; Other: Adhesive gem; Glimmer Mist; Fun Flock; American Crafts; grosgrain ribbon; 3D foam; Acrylic box; snow cap paint dabber;

ICSketches #34 ~ Cutting Cafe

I had intended to post this yesterday but it got too busy, you know how it is? and although you haven't seen seen a post for a while I have been crafting like mad. You will see the five cards I created over the weekend for the Club Anya VSN party and farewell Team 01, because I'm hoping to blog about them tomorrow but for now... here's my design team card for Inspirational Card Sketches...

Well, Dawn has designed a fantastic sketch as always! Hope you have a look at the other design teams fantastic makes and the fabulous sponsor this week is The Cutting Cafe,

You will love this Frame shaped card set, fun, fun shape and great for layering. I have one of Regina's previous cupcake set so used it for the centre of my card.

All the elements have been hand cut and I was very surprised my printer printed so well on these scrummy glittered papers. The circle represents the angled square, just if you're wondering LOL? There's a few mini differences as the paper was quite busy. Hope you get the chance to have a go...
