Sassy Articulated Paper Art Doll in a Teacup ♥

Hello and welcome,
we have a new challenge over on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today,
and here's my fun sassy jointed paper teacup art doll.
I used the Eileen Hull Teacup die, it's currently on sale. I thought it would be the perfect vessel for one of my articulated dolls, the handle 'holes' make the cutest heart when put together.
I created this sassy jointed doll, using firstly the doll body, the amazing paper brad and doll hands dies and stamps, cut out in a dark brown cardstock and details stamped in black ink.
I drew and cut out her hair using the Hollyhock hair template in canson bristol board which is a much lighter weight. I then added colour using my copic pens.
I opted for 3qtr view right head with a touch of coloured pencil to bring out her details
She is dressed in cute top created using the heart neckline, I added balloon sleeves just to the forearm and finished off with simple leggings, all cut from vintage doll patterned papers. I've added the cutest glitter pumps and bows in her hair.

and I would love to enter my project to these wonderful challenges too...

Fae Jointed Paper Art Doll Inspiration

Hello everyone!!!
Hope you're keeping well and safe during this transitional time,
this is the first week both of mine are attending their school/college ♥

seeing as there's still plenty of time to take part in our current AG challenge I thought I would share my fae doll project...
She's settled on some flowers, I've used my copics to colour her, I went for an ethereal blue skin with hints of floral markings and tattoos, using the decorative adornments from the hand stamp set as well as the leaf from the face set.
Her hair I've created from kraft cardstock and have drawn white lines to represent hair, it's in two layers and it can sit on her shoulder or behind her too. The wings are something I am working on, I've based them on my winter fairy wings, which I still love, I've cut them from vellum to keep their lacy delicacy.
Her outfit has been completely made up by die cutting lots of leaves(an old poppystamps poinsettia set) from the vintage doll patterned papers and then layering, I have added a little sparkly detail to the edges, which you might just be able to make out.

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge ~ Anything Goes

Hello everyone!!!
Hope you're keeping well and safe...
We have a new challenge up on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today...
I was creative with a needle and embroidery thread this week, using the 3/4 view micro fringe hair templates, with the closed eye face stamp, along with the dinky hands stamp set. The tattoo was created using the blossom stamps,
It's been many years since I've sewn anything, and this is probably my first embroidery, I used to sew with my mum. This kit from Stitch Happy helped so much. It's certainly given me the urge to try another, my couching stitching definitely needs work and you can certainly see some tension in quite a few of the stitches.

May Your Days be Magic ♥

Hello everyone!!!
Hope you're keeping well and safe just one more week to go until a very unusual first lockdown Christmas day, lets hope your days are full of magic ♥...

I wanted to pop by to share a little mid challenge inspiration, there is still plenty of time to take part in our current Anything Goes challenge as we're running it until 8th Jan...

I had the idea to make some elves using the new face dies and stamps...
I created four (for now), I simply doodled a fun tall hat to accommodate a dl(slimline)size card, no straight lines, you could fold the patterned paper over to recreate this on a smaller sized card blank.
I had fun inking up the background with distress oxides, I blended weathered wood, into evergreen bough into speckled egg. I then stamped a subtle pattern with a couple of swirls and some speckles in the opposite blend of oxides(if that makes sense?)
The faces were simply coloured in with watercolour pen and a touch of glitter. The hats I finished off with some rediscovered filigree liquid which I am super impressed is still fluid and working in the texture department.
I have die cut a heart, and it turned upside down to give the impression of a collar. I finished the card with a mix of sentiments to complete the theme.

I also would love to enter into these wonderful challenges too...
