OooohhhhHHH Quixotic Paperie Challenge ~ Move it, Move it!!!

Hi everyone, OOOOOoooohhhhhhHHHH I'm Back!!! We had a wonderful summer break with the little ones phew, so much fun the weather was a blessing and all the days out were the BEST!! Lots to organise since I've been home and I know no posts for a week seems soooo long... but I will have two today, firstly...

The challenge this week over at Quixotic Paperie has been chosen by... well, me!
I challenge you to MOVE IT, MOVE IT!!!

There is a wonderful step by step tutorial in the July issue of Craft Stamper Magazine where Helen Chilton demonstrates how to make a fabulous interactive pull-tab card which I thought would be perfect for the move it challenge. I made it easy for myself and die cut the spooky house twice and adhered the pull tab between the layers. The house will flap down revealing the adorable Birgitta by pulling the bat at the top... although, there is the worry that my spooky house may just decide to flop down all by itself (due to my interesting design idea ~ obviously) It may actually spook the recipient tee hee!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Graphic 45: Halloween in Wonderland;
Stamps: Swiss Pixies: Halloween Birgitta;
Ink: Memento: black; Copic: markers*;
Ranger: distress inks: rusty hinge;
Dies: Spellbinders ~ Nestaillities: circles; Sizzix: House spooky;
Other: Viva Decor: glitter liner; Yellow acetate; 3D foam;

*Skin: E000, E00, 11, 13, Hair; 100, C6, C2, Outfit: BV13, 11, BV000, BG96, 93!!!

Thanks so much for stopping  by today hope you get a chance to join in!

Caardvarks ~ Color it!

Is the current CHALLENGE over at Caardvarks

Color a stamped image! Anything goes here...stamp an image and color it any way you like! The Crew used colored pencils, markers, paper piecing, watercolors, etc.

Had to have a go, it's been a while and it also happens to be one of my favourite techniques right now too! I have coloured Marie's stunning winter fairy with my copic markers and added some sparkle from my Spica marker too. Click images for close up... I have created an easel card using the largest label 8 die. The flower I have added a little stickles and the snowflake embellishment I got from my trip to the NEC, fabulous!!!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Cosmo cricket: jolly by golly; Stamps: TGF; winter fairy digi; Anya says; Ink: Printer: hp; Copics: markers; glitter spica; archival: black; Tim's Holtz: distress inks; distress stickles; Die's: Spellbinders: labels 8; Other: Prima flower; stickles; snowflake brad; 3D foam;
Thank you for stopping by and hope you're having a wonderful weekend, HuGs Kim :)

100% Original ~ Dream Big

This card covers three challenges (has to be done with all the amazing challenges I just don't have time to enter.)

So thought I would have a little fun with the easel card and for the stop I have cut some grass where the beautiful Ava has found her frog. The grass lays flat under the image piece for posting, I'm quite pleased with the result and now have even more ideas I could possibly attempt, tee hee! I had my refills arrive for my copic markers, wow amazing how your favourites all run out at the same time hey? I just had to colour Ava in traditional princess colours!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Cosmo cricket: girl friday; Stamps: TGF; princess Ava; Anya says; Ink: memento: black; Copics: markers; archival: black; Tim's Holtz: distress inks; Tattered angels: marshmallow glimmer mist; Die's: Spellbinders: label 1; Sizzix: grass; flower layers; Other: WRMK: grommet; gem; 3D foam;
Thanks for stopping by and I am officially the worst commenter ever but hoping to catch up with you all this week, so thank you and BiG HuGs Kim :)

Flapper Anya in a Spin

Good morning everyone,
Wanted to share my post for Club Anya. I just love to create a different dimension to a card and here flapper Anya is in a spin, tee hee. I have stamped Anya once then without re inking stamped again to give a faint outline. You will want it on two pieces of paper so that when you colour it won't bleed through to the front. Next it's time to use your light box (or window, empty picture frame over lamp) and your creative imagination to draw the back of Anya. Lay the faint image down and trace on the back...

The main differences is the hair and her hand, which will be behind the dress. I didn't do the feather on the back piece either, less fiddly the better hey? Next it's time to cut out both anya's, mine just about matched up you can trim till they do. I have adhered a little fishing line down the centre of Anya and sandwiched it between the two. Now Anya can spin in the circle aperture.

The wonderful Dawn has designed a fantastic sketch over at Inspirational Card Sketches and so I just had to take the oportunity to take part again!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: BasicGrey; eskimo kisses; glitter card; Stamps: TGF: Flapper Anya; Ink: Memento: Black; Copic: markers; glitter spica; Dies: Nestabilities: circles; Cuttlebug: snowflake; Fiskars: border punch; Other: Foof a la: buttons; Satin Ribbon; Fishing line(invisible thread); 3D foam;

A totally fun thing to do is spin Anya round quite a few times before placing in the envelope then she will turn round and round when the recipient opens up the card... just magic LOL! Wanted to share something fun to try out when your new stamps arrive, I hope it inspires and thanks for stopping by today, HuGs Kim :)

note: I have made a little video of me colouring the hair. Ok I wanted to post it today too but I'm just struggling to get it to the computer. I'm hoping to sort it by the end of the day so bear with me it's my first EVER video.... thanks :)

Pop out Scene... Stampin Chic's

The Technique challenge this week over at Stampin Chics Blog was to try a Pop up....
Make you creation interactive and give someone a surprise as they open it up! Don't forget that you need to use at least 1 item from the CCSR range...

I'm a little late posting mine but here is the front of my card and have let the yummy busy paper do it's thang!!!

So onto the inside, this is what will be revealed when you open it, Don't think I'm lazy either for not colouring in (as you will know I Ycolouring) I was following an idea!!! got totally inspired to create a scene using cutouts like they do for the very famous Paddington Bear children's program. So I went to work and drew the bench, grass and trees, I used Clare's fabulous stamps for the rest of the scene! Then cut it all out and assembled so that it would lay flat when the card was closed.The Characters in Paddington Bear are always coloured in so I paper pieced the Chic with the patterned papers and coloured with my whispers pens.

Products used:
Papers: White card, WRMK - nonsense, Core'dinations,Stamps: CCSR - Doodles set, Sentiments, Stampin Chic Party, Jesse Edwards,Ink: Clearsnap - Queues Fluid ink, Vivid - Black, Whispers brush pens,Other: PM - flowers, brads, 3d foam, circle punches,

Well I hope you get the chance to have a go It was great fun and challenging, take a look at the rest of the Team they created some fantastic examples, HuGs Kim YThanks for stopping by...

Hidden Message

I Love this card... there is so much going on with it! Lots of New things I haven't tried and as you can see I try lots of new things all at the same time all on the same card but hey! I'm pleased with the result!

I wanted a card with natural colours, and I started with this stamp and thought to use it like an artist has just sketched it! Which of course Elizabeth has but to get this look I stamped the image in versamark so the edges were soft then continued by colouring with my pastel pencils originally I wanted a more sepia look but I can't help add a little colour!

The Daisies were so much fun mainly consisting of punches and die cuts! The centre's were cut from circles using double sided adhesive sheet (LOVE) then covering with generous sprinkling of fun flock (Love, Love this stuff!) This whole card is quite tactile and very interactive!

The Hidden Message... I will have a look if there's a tutorial for this on line, it reminds me of a Jacob's ladder. (IF not I will do a tutorial, I think you should always give the unusual a try!) It's not too easy to find the extra message inside but you can easily guess where it is! I've disguised mine with a mosaic of paper, then stamped the message inside! So if you have any questions leave me a comment at the top of my posts and I will endeavour to answer the best I can!
