Eggciting Preview... Club Anya & Friends :)

Good Morning thought I would hop by to show you the preview over at Club Anya and Friends Blog.... Monday TGF will be releasing the very pretty Easter Anya and the team have created some stunning samples...

So I have based my card using Dawn's sketch over at Inspirational card sketches.
Well... I have had these easter stickers in my stash collecting dust for some time now and it was a pleasure to actually get to use them and how nice that these papers just went so well too.
It's a bit tricky to see I hope you can by clicking the close up... I have given Anya a suede textured outfit, using liquid applique although it looks a bit like towel but feels nice and soft.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket: girl friday; Bo Bunny: cardstock stickers; Stamps: TGF: Easter Anya (released 1st Feb); Ink: Memento: black; Copic: markers; Other: Frilly ribbon; liquid applique; 3D foam;
Thanks for stopping by and hope to show you another preview tomorrow, HuGs Kim :)

Basic Grey Challenge #10 for twenty ten...

Hi everyone, well I'm back again and we have the first challenge of twenty ten on BasicGrey Challenges today and it’s a lovely photo inspiration theme. And there's a gorgeous ‘Nook and Pantry’ themed prize sponsored by Simon Says Stamp I hope you can join us... and there are superb cards from my DT friends but on a very sad note the wonderful Kristen had to step down from the team, we will miss her greatly BiG HuGs sweetie :)

I have based my card on Dawn's fabulous ICSketch, it's been a while and I did always enjoy them :)

My interpretation was a whole lot lighter and brighter in my head, but I opted for these BasicGrey papers and think they're a little bit pinky. The brown panel represents the carpet and I have dry embossed if you can see. I used the sheen ribbon was for the roman blind.

So, I have had this cute sweet stamp since before Christmas, I KNOW, shocking!!! I just haven't had the chance to ink and colour with all these trials over the holidays and it has been cutting into my crafting big time. So I am so major angry at the early Learning centre they have been so horrible to me there's so much to moan about I think I should save it for another post!!! Working on an effective complaints letter and try and get my money back!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: BasicGrey: blush; Stamps: American Crafts: sentiment; Ink: Memento & archival: black; Tim Holtz: Distress Inks; Copic: markers; Dies: Nestabilities: fancy tags; Cuttlebug: embossing folder; WRNK: corner punch; Other: American Crafts: ribbon; 3D foam;
Thanks so much for stopping by if you get a chance there's a wonderful Saturday Sketch challenge over at Club Anya and Friends!

Flapper Anya in a Spin

Good morning everyone,
Wanted to share my post for Club Anya. I just love to create a different dimension to a card and here flapper Anya is in a spin, tee hee. I have stamped Anya once then without re inking stamped again to give a faint outline. You will want it on two pieces of paper so that when you colour it won't bleed through to the front. Next it's time to use your light box (or window, empty picture frame over lamp) and your creative imagination to draw the back of Anya. Lay the faint image down and trace on the back...

The main differences is the hair and her hand, which will be behind the dress. I didn't do the feather on the back piece either, less fiddly the better hey? Next it's time to cut out both anya's, mine just about matched up you can trim till they do. I have adhered a little fishing line down the centre of Anya and sandwiched it between the two. Now Anya can spin in the circle aperture.

The wonderful Dawn has designed a fantastic sketch over at Inspirational Card Sketches and so I just had to take the oportunity to take part again!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: BasicGrey; eskimo kisses; glitter card; Stamps: TGF: Flapper Anya; Ink: Memento: Black; Copic: markers; glitter spica; Dies: Nestabilities: circles; Cuttlebug: snowflake; Fiskars: border punch; Other: Foof a la: buttons; Satin Ribbon; Fishing line(invisible thread); 3D foam;

A totally fun thing to do is spin Anya round quite a few times before placing in the envelope then she will turn round and round when the recipient opens up the card... just magic LOL! Wanted to share something fun to try out when your new stamps arrive, I hope it inspires and thanks for stopping by today, HuGs Kim :)

note: I have made a little video of me colouring the hair. Ok I wanted to post it today too but I'm just struggling to get it to the computer. I'm hoping to sort it by the end of the day so bear with me it's my first EVER video.... thanks :)

Lollipop lollipop O lolli lolli....

How sweet is this Lolli Anya? Hope you are enjoying all these fabulous new stamps Marie has designed some beauties and there's still more to show tomorrow! Wow!!! There's also the Spa hop on Sunday too with prizes so hope you can join in for that!

The wonderful Dawn has designed another fantastic sketch over at Inspirational Card Sketches and it's being sponsored by Greeting farm so just had to take the oportunity to take part again... it's been a while!

The sweet Lolli I have coloured with copic markers but added other details like the glossy accents on her lolly and hair baubles. Of course she had to have a glittery dress too.

The greeting farm also sell this digi kit with gorgeous patterned cupcake papers and fabulous sticker/buttons to print. I'm really enjoying the digital side of crafting at the moment and have found a great site - Jessica Sprague who has tutorials and free templates... which brings me onto the Anya gift/treat bag...

I used the template in this free kit with the Greeting Farm's papers. both sides have different patterned papers on and I have printed the stickers onto good card and I cut with my circle nestibilities. I tried covering one with glossy accents but I found that it really blurred the ink as it dried, so have only inked the edges!

I have embellished the treat bag with lolli anya coloured as for the card and a couple of tags. The back has a label sticker and I have fixed the top with a brad. The great design means you can open the bag at the bottom.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: BasicGrey: nook and pantry; TGF digi: dirty sugar; PM: textured card; Stamps: TGF: Lolli Anya(release 15th); Anya Says(release 15th); Ink: Memento: Black; Distress; Copic: markers; spica glitter; Printer: Hp; Dies: Nestabilities: circles; Sizzix: gelly tags; WRMK: corner chomper; Other: Glossy accents; Adhesive jewels; Hero Arts: flowers; Foof a la: buttons; BG: brad; natural string; 3D foam;

There is now a sentiment for EACH and EVERY Anya and lots of the Ians...all in One awesome sentiment set! Now...here comes the bonus part. Due to a little manufacturer's "whoopsieee", we are offering this set at the AMAZING price of $10! (there are two "keep rockin' sentiments - nothing else wrong!)
You can find the rest of the Design team amazing creations on the Club Anya blog or pop to see them...

Farewell ICSketches Team ~ My finale sketch #36

Well, as the title indicates this is my last card as Inspirational Card Sketches... design team member :( sniff sniff, I will without a doubt really miss my weekly fix of free creativity with a wonderful sketch to follow, sniff. I'm sure I will continue to be ever inspired by Dawn's sketches and when possible have a go...

Well, Dawn sniff, has designed a fantastic sketch as always this week! Hope you have a look at the other design teams fantastic makes! sniff sniff. This week we are being sponsored by Lindsay Stamp Stuff and we got to use some of her wonderful images, sniff.

I turned the sketch on it's side because I could, tee hee and in place of the darker rectangle shape I have used the bingo card stamp image from Lindsay's. The background I have printed the tree image and coloured the trunk with my copic markers, then added some distress inks with a blending tool. The tree I have printed directly onto this gorgeous Cosmo cricket patterned paper, cut the foliage out and raised on dimensional foam.

I picked up these super gorgeous large bling brads while at Ally Pally and also the decorative punch which you can only just see behind the circle image.

I wanted to put the pictures of my journey with ICSketches sniff but there's a colossal amount to show and so I had to squeeze them into a neat little slide show instead, all thirty seven of them including the card that won my DT position, sniff.

Thank for all your continued support and following me, hope you get the chance to have a go on this weeks sketch, Happy HuGs Kim :)

ICSketches #35 ~ Praying for you

It's Tuesday and time for my design team card for Inspirational Card Sketches...

Well, Dawn has designed a fantastic sketch as always! Hope you have a look at the other design teams fantastic makes!
I'm afraid I needed to make a sympathy card for a teacher who recently passed at Dillon's school. God Bless.
I couldn't wait to use these digi papers and went for a floral vintage look. I stamped the frame and sentiment on card, cut out and distressed the edges slightly. I've added a selection of gems around the decorative frame.
Mini sewing machine came out again for a little stitching on the base papers. The embellishments have been hand made from air dry clay (love this stuff) I used a little glossy accents to give good adhesion.

ICSketches #34 ~ Cutting Cafe

I had intended to post this yesterday but it got too busy, you know how it is? and although you haven't seen seen a post for a while I have been crafting like mad. You will see the five cards I created over the weekend for the Club Anya VSN party and farewell Team 01, because I'm hoping to blog about them tomorrow but for now... here's my design team card for Inspirational Card Sketches...

Well, Dawn has designed a fantastic sketch as always! Hope you have a look at the other design teams fantastic makes and the fabulous sponsor this week is The Cutting Cafe,

You will love this Frame shaped card set, fun, fun shape and great for layering. I have one of Regina's previous cupcake set so used it for the centre of my card.

All the elements have been hand cut and I was very surprised my printer printed so well on these scrummy glittered papers. The circle represents the angled square, just if you're wondering LOL? There's a few mini differences as the paper was quite busy. Hope you get the chance to have a go...

This week we are being sponsored by Lindsay Stamp Stuff and here's one of her wonderful images.

ICSketches #32 ~ Cuteasaurus

Morning a lovely Tuesday and I'm very busy gathering the last few items of school uniform, here's my design team card for Inspirational Card Sketches...

Well, Dawn has designed a fantastic sketch as always! Please go and have a look at the other design teams fantastic makes too.
I created this one very quickly (for me) the sketch was a breeze to follow. Of course I had to use more of this fabulous new Cosmo cricket papers, mmm. I have been trying to tidy up my craft stash and finding some older stash that's been very neglected like this super Kim Hughes stamp set!!! Love it!
This cuteasaurus dino I have stamped on one of the patterned papers and coloured with my copics. I have stamped the sentiment directly onto the natural ribbon and applied double sided tape before trimming. I used my nesties to cut the felt matt and simply placed the image on top. The buttons I have added a little thread and adhered with glue dots, the card I have finished off with more natural thread tied at the front. Click images for close look.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket: boyfriend; Stamps: CHF - Kim Hughes - little guy (boy); Ink: Momento: black; markers: copic; Die's: Nestabilities: Squares; Other: grey felt; BG: buttons; natural ribbon & thread; glue dots; 3D foam;

ICSketches #31 with gorgeous PTI stamps...

Morning a lovely Tuesday and a very busy day for me, here's my design team card for Inspirational Card Sketches...

Well, Dawn has designed a Super sketch for us! Please go and have a look at the other design teams makes, fantastic as always.
Now, not long before our week away I had treated myself to a long awaited nice fat order from PTI and to my delight it was delivered when we got back. I think it just takes longer to use the new stuff when there's so many other life things to do, so here's a card using the most beautiful set. I had to have this set how pretty are those flowers? and a dream to colour. I used my copics and finished off with pretty gems.
I have cut and embossed two label 1 shapes to represent the squares on the sketch, then I've pretty much followed the rest as is. Although, I stamped the bottom half as I had forgot dry emboss it before sticking on the scallop panel, ended up creating a mask from scrap paper which I punched the edge and stamped through. Hope you get a chance at this weeks sketch and click images for a close look...

Supplies: Patterned Paper: PTI: Bitty dots; Stamps: PTI: in bloom; everyday classics; Ink: Momento: black; colourbox; markers: copic; Die's: Nestabilities: label1; Sizzix: bookplate; Cutb'g: embossing folder; Fiskars: apron lace; Other: grey board; double sided adhesive sheet; adhesive stones; BG: brads; ribbon; 3D foam;
Thanks for stopping by and thank you for your wonderful comments... hoping to get back into the swing of blogging soon, Big Happy HuGs and enjoy your day, Kim :)

Inspirational Card Sketches #30

We're back from Dorset and the sun shone for us, the children loved the beach Maoleidigh loves digging sand spent her time filling her bucket up, eventually attempting the cold sea water, as for Dillon he couldn't get enough of the sea and we had to drag him back to the caravan... which he thinks we should live in all the time bless him! I have so missed my crafting and all my blogging buddies so got straight back into it with my DT card for Inspirational Card Sketches...

Olena designed our fabulous sketch this week, and our sponsors are Paper Popsicles so pop over and have a browse at their wonderful site.

I have printed and coloured little girl all summery with white dress and super cute frilly socks. I have edged the dress with my spica pen but it's a little hard to see the glittrer in the photos. Couldn't resist a little button too!
I have seen crochet flowers cover the crafting catwalk for a while now and decided to actually try making one, now it's not the most fabulous and I certainly need some practice, but this is my very first attempt at crochet and I found the most wonderful blogs which will help even the most complete beginner thanks Teresa and Rachel. So I got myself a crochet hook but I only a large one and my crochet is leaning more to the lacy side, to finish I simply put a small button in the middle. click on pictures to enlarge.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: MME: Bloom and Grow; Stamps: paper popsicles: Little girl; Ink: markers: copic; spica; Die's: Nestabilities: label1; Sizzix: bread tags; Cutb'g: butterfly; Other: lace, Buttons, thread, crochet hook, cereal box card; double sided adhesive sheet; 3D foam;

Thanks for stopping by and here's a few little pics of when we we're away, I didn't take my camera to the seaside so don't have any of them playing there. They are of course impossible to photograph and don't sit still for a second... but cute all the same,

HuGs Y Kim :)
