Paperbabe stamps Challenges #117 ~ Sketch ~ Tiny Book

Good morning I'm here to share my project for our current challenge over on the Paperbabe Stamps blog...

I created this teenie tiny accordion book, using the Eileen Hulls cute tiny book die, I've added lots of texture to the cover with some yummy cream paste through the cross hatch stencil onto some cream kraft card.
I then painted the whole cover in black paint and dry brushed some acrylics and added a hint of copper wax to give a smidgen more interest.
The front image has a pair of hands, which I coloured in copics, holding or sharing a rainbow of love, using an old stamp set for the rainbow. I added a layer of liquid wax first time I've tried this stuff, I think it's fab. The thicker layers seem to create interesting cracks, giving it a wonderful aged look.
The inside is waiting for me... I used the longest side of an A3 and trimmed it down to the height of the book and scored to concertina the cardstock into the width of the book cover. Whats left is a little tab length that I adhered to the inside covers and painted it black to disappear into the inside cover(if that makes sense?) then I added a second to the other side.

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #25 ~ Sketch

We have a lovely sketch challenge over on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today...
and I've actually made a card I know shock horror, lol!

I had quite a bit of fun, ok lots of fun creating this card. It was so easy to make this Adorimal Bunny image with Kawaii face as a Character Balloon flying on the wind. I didn't even need any masking yay, the ears are separate images which means they can fly in any direction they so wish. The Balloon knot is in fact one of the piggy ears in the set (wonder if you worked that one out already?) I've coloured her using copic markers, I then trimmed her out with a slight border and popped on dimensional adhesive.

The background was built up using High in the Sky and Spritz & Speckles stamp sets, I wish I had taken a picture before the balloon was stuck in place, the clouds were masked and the speckles & drips looked fab. l finished off with the fabulous sentiment stamp, a very fitting quote and drew in a string with black pen.

I'm also entering my card to the following challenges

Simon says stamp ~ create with critters

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #18 ~ Anything Goes

It's the next challenge on the Paperbabe stamps blog today...
It's an anything goes so I went cute overload by paper piecing my Adorimals character, I just love that you can play with the pose, I've tilted the bear's head, as the elements are separate for more versatility. This is some very old paper stash but it's still lovely to use.
The face was stamped using the Kawaii Face Set, We had the most beautiful rainbow in our sky yesterday that I couldn't resist stamping one using the High in the Sky. Then I used the lovely sentiment Best Version on her little hill.

I'm entering this card to a few other challenges:
Southerngirls challenge ~ Anything Goes
Addicted to stamps ~ Anything Goes
Crafting for all seasons ~ Bright and beautiful
Creative Moments ~ Anything Goes/Summer
Rubys rainbow ~ for a little girl
Stampin royalty ~ Rainbows

Thank you so much for stopping by, I'm still recovering from our week away with the kiddies, there's still laundry to finish, designs to complete and art to make!!!
Enjoy a wonderfully creative weekend
