Well I haven't posted a creation in some time, it's not that I haven't been creating just the opposite. There are a few competitions that are running at the moment! (I've entered six for one magazine and I'm not sure what the policy is of showing before the final!) Anyway we should find out by November and I can show you all then!(hopefully as the winners!) Fingers and toes crossed! also it's been busy couple weeks with my son starting school which means taking him too and from took a couple of hours in my day and then he got a little sick so had a few days off, bit of a roller coaster really. So here's one for the PTW challenge....

This weeks challenge is another of Katharina's sketches!

Love this 3d illustration kit they are the cutest Toread images! I used this weeks sketch with the circle acting like a cave! I also folded some money on the inside into an origami shirt, the little boy loved it!

Papertake - Sketch Envelope

This weeks challenge over at Papertake weekly is another of Katharinas fab sketches #28 and this week Whiff of Joy (Katharina's stamp company) are sponsoring the challenge!

Instead of using the sketch on the card I decided to use it on the envelope, the idea for these (I managed to make six in an evening) is to be a little pocket card with a prayer inside for expectant couples!
I wanted neutral tones to suit a couple! this wood paper really is lovely for embossing I adhered it to some card first! This holds the flap of the envelope closed! I have used acetate behind the aperture to hold the embellishments!

In fishing my boyfriend just has to have the latest in new gear and he is called tackle tart, well.... in the crafting world I must be a tool tart, I just can't help but want the next new thing and I "treated" (makes buying stuff sound more acceptable!) myself to the new Sizzix movers and shapers! Very pleased with them, love how easy they are to duplicate! your designs!

Materials:
Paper: K&Co - lifes journey, wood paper, white card,
Die's: Sizzix
movers and shapers, flower layers, button, cross embossing folder, punches - foot, butterfly.
Stamps:
PTI - out on a limb,
Ink: Adirondak, colourbox creamy brown,
Other: Glue pen, 3D foam, double sided adhesive sheet, yummy adhesive lace ribbon & gem.

Thanks for stopping by and for leaving me wonderful comments! My comments can be found at the top of the post! I will try uploading more very soon, HuGs Kim x

Whiff of DT call

I made this card for the competition Whiff of Joy Guest Designer Call over on the very talented Katharina's blog and try become a guest designer for Katharina who is setting up her own stamp company called Whiff Of Joy.

If you want a chance to become a guest designer then pop over to her blog.
Katharina I wish you a lot of prosperity and success with your new stamping company Whiff of Joy.

This was a great sketch to work with, I started on the base with faux stitching and sanded to distress a little!

I couldn't decide whether to put ribbon on but love the BG paper so went with swirl, wanted to show it off! The image "sitting with bear" has been paper pieced, the bear has been done over with bright fun flock, the stool created with wood paper (very cool stuff), the rest finished with watercolour pencils and white gelly pen! The flower was finished with sentiment and glossy accents to create dome!
