You Are Magical ~ Seventies Vibe

 Thanks for joining me...

Here's a magical doll card for the current paperbabe stamps anything goes challenge...

I had a total flashback to the seventies with my card, so as I was clearing a space to create and while putting bits away I got completely distracted by my paper stash and so when I rediscovered this vintage nonsense stack by WeR Memory Keepers well the rest just evolved from there.
I've used the doll body for the torso and the extra hole pieces I kept aside for flower centres. On Bristol watercolour card I cut the 3/4 view right head die and torso, then I've inked with ripe persimmon, crushed olive, and speckled egg distress oxides, next I stamped the face with the same distress inks and spritzed with water to get a nice inky look. I then went in with the face stamp again in black ink and defined a few areas with a paint brush and added a few details with the stamps from the hands set.
Her hair was so fun to create using the Willow template, cut out in brown cardstock and covered in super cute flowers, using the Potpourri die in matching cardstock, some of the centres were from the set and a few were from the body die.
I finished off the card with the Handwritten Stamp Set in white embossing on acetate as I didn't want to cover the rainbow. I had a couple of these go in the bin as I had a few issues with the double sided black foam sheets shifting in the die cutting machine.

I would love to enter my make in these challenges...

Vintage Flower Girl Paper Doll

 Thanks for joining me...

I created a vintage flower doll card for the current paperbabe stamps anything goes challenge on the blog today...
I started with layering vintage paper onto a DL top fold card. The skirt of her dress I actually used a circle die to get the bulbous shape by cutting just half through my machine and trimmed the edges to the size of the card.
I think it fits very well with the torso part of the body die. Her puff sleeves are an old Springtime Medley die from spellbinders they fit so well.
I didn't add any joints to this doll, I've adhered her in place with a few areas loose for shadow play and to help add a few floral elements.
I used the three quarter view left facing head die and stamps using the cute leaf mage on her face. I did a very simple colouring in using stabilo all auarellable red, brown, black and white. Then finished of her look with the Hollyhock hair template cut from black card.
I've inked the edges of everything, added those adorable layers of flowers, with sparkly centres in her hands and finished off with Love sentiment on the front.

I would love to enter my make in these challenges...

You are Magical ♥

 Thanks for joining me...

I created a fun mystical card for the current paperbabe stamps anything goes challenge on the blog today...
I thoroughly enjoyed creating this unique mystical card,
yummy navy with hints of rose gold.
I started by stamping the standard eye from the female face set, in distress oxides and coloured with copics.
R21,32. BG11, 70, 72, 75. BV25. B60. W2. E70, 11.
Then added the lashes with versaclair ink last.
and complemented the story with the newest mini hands that I coloured with my copics: E11, 13, R02, 39, YR000,
and then stamped the mystic adornments in versaclair ink. Which I then fussy cut, and added those jewelled nails and finished off with You are Magical sentiment inside.
The Sizzix crystal ball was a wonderful addition, I love how it came together, I cut the aperture from the navy and the rose gold card in the same position, to then go back in with the 'glow' die, cut in the navy so the gold would show through. I've added a layer of acetate and then put the whole thing on dimensional adhesive to give depth over the eye.

I would love to play along in these challenges...

Follow Your Dreams ~ Boundless Art Journal

Thanks for visiting...

I've been busy in my craft area for the new anything goes challenge on the blog today...
so, I treated myself to Paula Pascual fabulous boundless journal dies and decided to create a portrait page in my new art journal. What a clever concept, I love that I can add and mix up the pages, this is a w.i.p journal and I hope to add many more paperbabe portraits.
I so enjoyed putting my dinky portrait together using the 3/4 view female face stamps I opted for the blank version so I could add her lashes.
Along with the dinky hands stamp set and the coordinating template really helped for masking her elegant hand pose.
Then her pink curly crown was created using the fun
 Willow Jpad hair template.
Here's the copics colours I used as I didn't photograph them:
Skin; E11, 13, 33, 39, R32 Eyes; E97, 70, B60
Hair; R21, 37, 43, 89 Top; BG11, 70, 72, 75

and I would love to enter my project to these wonderful challenges too...
