Di Hickmans Sketch
Card Sketch February #1 - Wednesday, February 6, 2008

I've used quite strong colours for baby card, just thought the papers needed a contrast! The papers are cut and adhered like in the sketch, I've used HOTP stitches rubber stamps to do the zigzags, and I pricked around the heart and used pigment pen to fill in stitches. Stamped little fancy pants flower on heart and adhered on gem.

Love Birds

Di Hickmans Wednesday Sketch

I went for unusual colours this time. The birds I cut with paisley dies and assembled drawing on their eyes.
The background I created by cutting heart template from thin copy paper (you can see in the pic how pretty the paper is now). I then stamped floral Anna Griffin stamp through. When dry I chalked the edges with blending chalks to highlight the shape. It looks a bit fussy and the technique developed while making the card! So I will try again better!

I stamped image and coloured with pigment pens, cut and layered onto spotty paper. The sentiment is die cut, The rest is just paper peicing with inked edges.

My Prize and Di's Sketch!

Yippee My prize from Charmed Cards and Crafts arrived on Saturday, so yummy... I picked some lovely stamps and papers and a few embellishments.

These stamps are super cute so thought I would make a thank you card for my cool prize...

I stamped them onto white card and patterned paper, cut and piece worked each image. Bit fiddly but I really like the effect. Cut with nestabilities and raised on 3D foam. Thank you die cut twice and glued in place. The sketch was taken from the Di Hickmans blog, lovely sketch.
