Footballer card and Lots of candy!

This card covers two challenges

Arty Girlz - This weeks challenge# 54 is to use The colour RED on your creations, as always interpret the theme as you choose we welcome all crafters and artists to our challenges and 2sketches4you - Using Kazan sketch 10.

I can never do football and when I was asked for one I was a little stumped I even went into Dillon my boys room to search for anything and all I found was a football sticker! Then I remembered that lurking in my earlier stash were some old peel offs! I then coloured to make it black not knowing the team colours or anything!

Give A Man A Fish Thanks

This weeks challenge over at Arty Girlz is 'no patterned paper' eek but don't panic too much because this doesn't mean that you can't make your own patterned paper using stamps or doodling or from other resources etc it just means NO shop bought designer patterned paper so go and have fun :)

Didn't colour the image in, as I wanted to make a quick card! The grass and ladybirds are die cut, (easy) I filled the water in with clear Gelly glaze pen, it really gives a wonderful watery reflection! This is a great statement, makes me laugh! It's so true!

3d Piecing and a TOOT TOOT!

About time I did a new post and I have quite a bit to post about! I have been crafting every day lately, in fact there are at least three to four cards that I've sealed and sent in the mail before I had the chance to photograph them! (shock!) But I've taken photos of a few that I will have to upload when I can!

Firstly this card...
I used the Saturday sketch over on Lauren's blog for the base and was trying to go for vintage colours, slightly shabby chic! wanted to use it for the arty girls challenge this weeks it's
'Vintage'..... so you could use a vintage photograph on your creation, give your creation an aged effect, or go shabby chic use old ribbon or lace etc. As always you choose the format for your creation. (not sure it follows the format!).....
Had a little fun with this image and paper pieced different areas that I then raised on foam and embellished with gell pen and touch of glitter! Very pleased with how it turned out! She's such a cutie to work with! I also made the badge with safe back for fastening!

Howdy Dad!

This is for the challenge over on Arty Girlz Blog...
We have 'Paint' as the challenge theme this week so go and grab your paintbrushes and have some fun!
and I used the Saturday sketch over on Lauren's Blog

I am so pleased with how this turned out! The challenge gave me the perfect excuse to try my crackle paint. I painted that on the square pp, (not that you can see it was patterned!) If painted quite thinly and it gives small cracks and the thicker the bigger cracks! I then distressed the edges.
Then I got the chance to make the suede effect paper (WOW this is amazing so loving this,) I wish you could touch it. The results are fantastic. I used liquid applique and brayered it over card quite thinly. I left it to dry.......... (while the cracks were also forming on the square piece)
......So once dry I heated with heat tool and wow the paint bubbles slightly and gives a soft suede effect! I couldn't capture it very well in the picture.
I used my new Billy stamps which I watercoloured (more paint), added a little glaze for buckle, and spots! Matt and layered on to scrap of suede paper!

This is a fun Anniversary card that covers

Rima's Blog Candy (wow really should take a look it's wonderful),
Arty Girlz challenge this week is 'Wings' and
love competition over at Charmed Cards.

This is a bit of a play on words, I'm calling it owlish. I've been looking forward to using this owl stamp and today I used it with my fun flock. Wow I just love the effect this gives I went over some areas with a glue pen and flocked again with the orange, so it's a bit thicker!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Arty Girlz have decided to have an On-going 'Recycling' Challenge. As you hopefully know by now 'Recycling' is an ongoing challenge on Arty Girlz so please think before you throw anything away and if you can 'recycle' please do.....

So I did... this card was made using an old brown envelope (you know the one the bills come in) As it happens my bear stamp arrived in post and I just HAD to stamp it and I used the only undoodled bit of paper in front of me - envelope. Then to colour in... I had my Sakura glitter pens beside me and got carried away with them and my water brush! The whole image sparkles I tried to show it in photo hope you can see!
Then for the die cut tag I used cereal box card covered with BG paper and stamped. The flower I used the plastic packaging the die came in and cut the flowers, I decided to actually try my alcohol inks (a first for me,) thoroughly enjoyed the effect, may have to get more!

I used the wonderful Sketch #10 over on Nicole's blog, but realise it's slightly different. Really enjoyed this project, as you can read I rambled on, and now I have to rush as baby wants me!

3D Butterfly Birthday

This week the challenge on Arty Girlz challenge #33 is '3D' ~ Thank you to Jane who suggested that great theme. Keep the suggestions coming in everyone as Arty Girlz intends to be around for a long time ;)

I needed a birthday card that had either green or pink on. Spoilt myself to some Laura Ashley goodies and find both colours. The Butterfly has been stamped three times and hand cut to layer and make 3d, I used thinner foam pads which is just as effective! I went over the finished butterfly with glitter pen. I put a little bit of flock on the leaves but it doesn't show up very well (they feel nice though)

I created the scallop card with my nestabilities large square, and made another felt corner, it comes out so pretty. Sorry pictures aren't very good!

Materials:
Paper: Laura Ashley contemporary, black & white card stock
Die's: Cuttlebug corner, nestabilities Ovals, squares
Stamps: PTI Butterfly Kisses, Laura Ashley clear stamp.
Ink: Colourbox fluid chalk ink pink pastel & olive pastel, versafine onyx black
Other: Pink felt & stitched ribbon from stash, double sided adhesive sheet, glue pen, foam pads.

Thanks for stopping by, I will hopefully have more to upload soon! HuGs Kim x

Special Mum

Arty Girlz Challenge #32.....

The theme for this challenge is 'Open Theme' so you can create whatever you like for Arty Girlz this week.

I was really pleased with how this card turned out. My mum loves birthday cake and this background paper was a free sample from magazine. So I continued the colours and kept with cake theme. The faux stitching I created with a tracer tool and went over the holes with a pen and doodled a little on the cake. Then layered elements on 3d foam.

Materials:
Paper: Free from crafts beautiful, K&Co playful, white linen.
Die's: Sizzix hinky dory, cuttlebug birthday cake, nestabilities scallop circle
Ink: cocoa colourbox chalk, American glitter markers.
