A Person's A Person, No Matter How Small!

Here's a card I have over at Quixotic today,
I am so pleased with how it turned out it must have been one of the quickest cards to make and loving all the colours from these Crate papers. I totally adore Horton hears a who film...  which is the reason for buying this fantastic Artistic Outpost - Think & Wonder stamp set. Featuring quotes from Dr. Seuss... A person's a person, no matter how small. Just love it!!! The Pink Paislee - Artisan Elements - Swirls I have coloured using Tim Holtz Distress Stain - Weathered Wood, I blasted it with my heat gun and it dried on very nicely!
The faux Stitching was created using the WRMK sew easy and a black fine liner for the stitches.
I was inspired by the sketch over at Card Patterns...

Thank you so much for stopping by hope you have a wonderful creative evening!

Quixotic, Card Patterns, Moxie Fab!

Hello...  hope you're having a fun week so far!

I wanted to stop by with a quick card I made using the cute The Greeting Farm - Miss Anya Hats Off - Stamp Set. She is coloured using copics. The sentiment is from Oliver & Amelia - Just For You Set.

I've used some bright fun papers from Echo Park - Sweet Summertime Collection Kit and they will be available in 6x6 soon.

I was inspired by the citrus colours on this weeks Moxie Fab tuesday Trigger
It doesn't show up very well in the picture that the mount to the tag is very lime green.

I have also used the fabby sketch from Card Patterns too!

That's it from me today, have a lovely creative day!

Quixotic, Card patterns and some Moxie Fab!

Hello...  hope you're having a fun week so far!
I wanted to stop by with a card I made using another of the fabulous images from the Victoria Case for SCACD new release!

I've used Victoria Case - Beach Bonita, She has been coloured with copics and the pearls in her hair were embellished using Viva Decor: Pearl Pen - Ice White.

There is a wonderful Bonus Flourish stamp only available in the set... which I have stamped on the edges of the patterned paper strip. I've used Basic Grey - Curio - 6x6 Paper Pad throughout and embellished the scallop border with a few Flat Backed Pearls - 4mm - Cappucino.

My card was inspired by the fabulous sketch over at card patterns...

This is my first time entering... I think the colours were perfect from the Moxie Fab World
I found the basic grey curio papers a wonderful match and Bonita's hair was a trigger from the chair colour LOL!

That's it from me today, have a lovely creative day!!!

Quixotic Inspirations ~ with a few challenges too :)

Hello! wanted to stop by with a little set made using lots of goodies found in Quixotic Paperie...

I used the NEW MEMORY BOX 6x6 - PIXIE papers, the gorgeous Stempelglede - Just A Note... I mount mine onto EZ Mount - Static Cling Mounting Foam - 8.5" x 11" Sheet, It's a larger set so it will take pretty much the whole sheet :(

I then coloured the Pink Paislee - Artisan Elements - Frames  using distress inks and copper paint dabber. You might just see that I have used the WRMK - Sew-Easy Stitch Piercer Tool + Straight Head and WRMK - Sew-Easy Piercing Mat but just left the dentation without thread, a little faux stitching... which fits in very well with Dutch Dare - Stitching (Real or Faux). I've also used Martha stewart punch for the decorative top for Simply Create #35 - Use Your Punches and I've added a little paper swirl from Marianne D Creatables - Frames/Swirls LR0116.

I thought it would be nice to create a co-ordinating envelope in the same Pixie papers and I added a Tando Creative - Flourish 5 to the flap. I simply applied copper paint dabber, when dry, I adhered in place.

I was inspired by the fabby sketch  #99 over at card Patterns

That's it from me today, hope it inspires...
have a lovely creative day and see you again next week!

Today over at Club Anya & Friends is a Wild Card Wednesday Challenge and this week the theme is May Flower's... I have used the fabulous sketch 62 from card patterns. I don't usually go for a circular card but enjoyed the challenge. I have used a circular lace punch for the card base and even got out my teenie tiny sewing machine to add a little detail. Fleur Anya has been coloured with copics and you can scroll down for a little tutorial on the flowers :)

Dies: Sizzix: flower layers #5; Tim Holtz tattered florals; Cuttlebug: scalloped flower; PTI: bloom II;

Dimensional Flower Tutorial

I had so many requests for a tutorial on the flowers on my Fleur Anya card I thought I would share how I made them here today...

Cut patterned paper to cover the size of the flowers you are cutting. You might consider using double sided patterned paper or as I have done make a sandwich of papers using double sided adhesive sheet between.
I have cut two from Tim Holtz tattered florals and one(double sided pattern) from flower layers #5
Simply draw a pencil line following the scallops of the flower so they spiral to the centre.
Cut along this line... you really don't have to be accurate, just scallop as you go... the line is only a guide.
If your pencil line was a little heavy handed like mine, you can just rub it off...
So with tweezers, hold the outer edge and start to twist into the centre.
You need to wind it until you have reached the centre and the spiral is tight.
Now let go and allow the flower to rest and unravel ever so slightly.
Using your preferred glue (I used glossy accents) apply some onto the base,
Squeeze or hold the flower tight until the glue has adhered, then leave aside to dry (doesn't take long).
Now it's time to scrunch up the other flower layers, I use my knuckle to shape into the palm of my hand but you can use anything... really... just scrunch and screw it up.
Then adhere your layers with thin adhesive foam or your preferred glue.
You CAN use ANY flower shape you have, you could even use an outline flower stamp.
Then simply adhere dimensional flowers to your finished card...
Hope it inspires and you have great fun making some May flowers :)

On another note:...for those who asked, here are the copic colours I used for my Rockin Rebel card...  :)
