A Fond Farewell... 2 Sketches 4 You!

I just had to enter a card for the 2 sketches 4 You ~ Fond Farewell last sketches...

I have always enjoyed Laura & Kazan creativity and I will miss their sketches so much but I am sure it takes a lot of hard work putting it all together and you are both such busy ladies.

Sadly I had a funeral to attend yesterday and so I created this card, using lots of goodies from papertrey ink. You might not be able to tell but I followed Kazan's sketch...lol! The papers are Webster's pages and I thought the colours went quite well although For the sentiment I had to mix two distress inks to get the colour I wanted. I've used natural seam binding didn't scrunch it or anything with a vintage button.

Many thanks for all the inspiration and creativity you have showered us with, you will be sadly missed by many. Good luck to you both, BiG HuGs Kim :)

We really hope that you can join in with this fortnights Basic Grey challenge, which is...

This week we would love to see some Fabric used on your creations, this can be anything from Fabric brads, to some wonderful Fabric flowers like some of our fab DT have used, the possibilities are endless and the choice is completely up to you, we so cant wait to see what you can come up with...

I've used felt, cotton lace trim, and the ribbon! I thought I would try resist techinque with this gorgeous stamp. I have stamped onto patterned paper but it's not easy to make out with all the ink that I have applied LOL!

I have also followed Kazan's wonderful Sketch #59 over at 2 Sketches 4 You.

This is my second post today Please scroll down for The Greeting Farm Creeper Preview Hop, Thanks :)

Today sees another fab new release from SCACD Stamps! This time it's a new Victoria Case for SCACD collection, and we're being revisited by a sweet character! There are SIX adorable new Aurora images, all being released today. They are being showcased in a fantastic blog hop, in which the Quixotic Paperie DT are once again joining the fabulous SCACD DT! We hope you will join us and enjoy all the inspiration! Plus of course, do a little shopping.

You should have hopped over here from Aud Nordheim, If not, you may want to pop over to ELAINE'S BLOG to start from the beginning!

 Well this image is adorable and very pixie like, which inspired me to try and create a vintage type postcard. I've coloured the main image with copics, drew some grass for her to stand in and then blended all over with distress inks to soften and age it! Although I have followed Laura's fabulous sketch 57 over at 2Sketches4You I may have used a little more creative license then intended, LOL! This fabby echo park paper means I can also enter into the dotty challenge over at Simon Says! The pearl swirl was made using Bazzill Jewel template and flat backed pearls.

BasicGrey Challenges #25 ~ Stitching

Happy Saturday... which means we have a new challenge over at Basic Grey Challenges...

Stitching... real or faux. I have added quite a bit of faux stitching along the edges, sewn the button in to place and even drawn a few stitches on the veins of the leaves under the felt flower. Still loving the 3d flower, it turns out so lovely in felt!I just haven't had the opportunity to use my TH bird cage die and thought I would try cutting some canvas, I've tinted it a little with distress inks.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: BasicGrey: Blush; Basic kraft; canvas cloth;
Stamps: Inkadinkadoo: paperwork greetings;
 Ink: Ranger ~ Distress inks: Frayed burlap;
Dies: Sizzix ~ Tim Holtz: Cage bird; flower 3d; leaves and branches; MS: border punch;
Other: Adhesive stones; American craft: velvet ricrac; WRMK: lace ribbon; felt; wooden button; tracer; hemp twine; TH: edge distresser; 3D foam;

I have followed Kazan's sketch #57 this week and combined with

Thanks so much for stopping by today, Maoleidigh and Dillon are feeling a lot better although I caught the tummy bug too, luckily it only lasted for the day thanks for your well wishes... So, we tried to have an easy day and visited the pictures to see toy story 3 well... Dillon has gotten so scared and frightened of one of the toys in the movie that he was a nightmare to put to bed and even to settle the four or so times he came out of his room. God Bless him he burst into tears in the theatre, well he's asleep right now let hope his dreams are sound.

Wild Card Wednesday ~ Summer

Wow good morning, Lots to share this Wednesday LOL, like WCW, WOYWW, 2S4Y, Mad for Markers...

For WCW this week the talented Kelly is challenging you to create a project with a summer theme using as much yellow as possible... So I HAD to use Summer from TGF Roll Call Set and I've used plenty of yellow! so fun. I went for a picnic theme really, the gingham fits in so well. I then coloured the pretty Summer using my copics (of course), gave her a little grassy garden and even managed to colour the whole sky background! I've attempted feather blending on her outfit and a little on her hair. Which fits in nicely with the challenge over at Mad for Markers challenge. And in  case you can't see it, I have used Laura's wonderful sketch over at 2Sketches4You. Just budged the ribbon down a little to hold the cute sentiment!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: October Afternoon: fly a kite;
Stamps: The Greeting Farm: Roll Call - Summer + sentiment;
Ink: Memento & archival: black; Copic: markers*; distress ink: old paper; inkessential: white;
Dies: Spellbinder's nestabilties: scallop circles; tags; Fiskars: border punch; MS: punch
Other: Offray: ribbon, adhesive gems; 3D foam;

*Skin: E000, 11, 13 & R20, eyes: G12, Hair: E50, 51, 35, 97 Outfit: R22, 37, Y35, E97, G12, The grass: YG67, 93, G29, Y35 & BG0000 for the Sky and I use my colourless Blender throughout.

What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday

Now, I've been eager to participate in WOYWW for ages... so took the opportunity to snap a quick picture of this desk. OK so it's not my usual desk this is the dinner table but it's so nice to bring things out here and have the wonderful help for my adorable assistant to mount and organise my growing stamp collection.

I like to laminate the image card as the stamp clings so well to the back. Then arrange in a drawer...
Here's Dillon waiting so intently for the laminator to do its job, LOL
Now here they are in there new home organised and tidy, I have a draw just for Anya stamps now as well as one for The Greeting farm LOL (not that I'm addicted or anything ;)
See... I have other stamps too, which I organise pretty much the same way and if I don't have an image card I simply stamp my own!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and hope the middle of your week will be creative and inspiring too, HuGs Kim :)

Roaring into the Third Anya Preview...

Good Morning today we are previewing ANOTHER new ANYA from The Greeting Farm! Introducing.....FLAPPER ANYA. This cutie is our third in the "Anya: Through the Years" series along with Hippie Anya and 80's Anya. She is a LIMITED EDITION stamp and will be released on Sunday, the 15th! Yay!

Well I just HAD to embellish this gorgeous Flapper Anya with a bit of glitz and bling. Her head band and dress I have heated silver embossing powder directly onto glitter card. Then cut out, as with the tassels and feather I used an embossing pen to add powder to these small pieces. Phew lots of fun! the embossing comes off a little, might need different ink!
I used Kazan's sketch 39 fantastic to inspire my card... just love this ribbon and I had to have another yummy button, with pearl top pin's too! The sentiment says bubbly, but it's a little hard to see.

...click thumbnails to enlarge!
