Good morning girls. Hope everyone had a lovely weekend and that those of you who celebrate Easter found it to be a blessed time. I'm back today with my next little project for My Time Made Easy. I have another one coming in a few days so stay tuned for that as well. :-)
I have another simple card set to share today. When Lauren challenged us to make cards this month as one of our projects I got carried away and made a second set as well but this time I used the Slip Cover Pretty Packaging template set to actually hold the cards. On my previous post with Slip Cover (found here) I showed it as a gift box but it really is THE perfect box to hold a set of cards. One of the gals I give cards to loves birthday cards so this set is ALL birthday. I also took advantage of another opportunity to use Kristin's beautiful digital papers. Remember, later this month is Administrative Assistant's Day and this little card set idea makes a perfect gift. Or how about a set of cards for your mom or sister or grandma or best friend?
With Spring finally showing its face here in Chicagoland I was in the mood for bright and cheery colors. I combined the Fallen Leaf Green from Fresh Fabric Collection #2 with the Silent Night dark blue flowers from Fun Flowers digi paper. I love the curvy lines of this box and it goes together in a snap - you do not even have to use adhesive to hold this one together (but I do just because I always do LOL). Here's a detail shot as well.
(By the way - does anyone really read all this or do you just look at the photos? I'm curious about that so if you're inclined to leave me a comment let me know your preference. Thx)
Here's a photo of the box opened.
You're also getting a peek at the first card in the set and a hint as to why I chose the colors I did for the Slip Cover. Here are all the cards...
I used the same sketch for each one (Beate's Weekend Sketch #105).
Following are the rest of the cards individually plus a bonus card at the end :-)
Used my favorite new stamp set called Just For You - and pulled the beautiful Happy Birthday sentiment from it but I also used the adorable little images from the set as well. This is a fabulous set with so many possibilities it will make your mojo dance like crazy! I also snuck in a little butterfly from the butterfly flourish in the new Petal Perfection set as well :-) Aren't those papers so pretty together - thanks Kristin for such lovely coordinating papers.
This one uses the wheelbarrow and one of the curved sentiments that says Hand Picked Just For You. These images and sentiments are SO fun. This Happy Birthday sentiment comes from So Sentimental.
I just love these Warm Candied Apple colors and had to work it in - used the large flower from Petal Perfections as the focal image.
Had to use this super fun cupcake paper and the cupcake images for one of them - what says birthday better than a sweet little cupcake? Hard to see but the cupcakes were hand cut and popped up.
Finally for the bonus card - it wasn't part of the set of 4 that I photographed BUT I had the idea for this one and room for one more in the box... so I added a more masculine card for my friend too.
I was really happy with this one - used another one of the curved sentiments (Just a Little Something) to look like smoke coming from the chimney from the little house. The leafy paper I used here is one of the new FREE SET this month!!! The sentiment also comes from So Sentimental.
So there you have it - a quick and easy set of cards - perfect for a gift and you could certainly mix up the sentiments.
Have a great week. See you again in a few days. Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs n smiles.
