Buttons galore!

The challenge of using one or more buttons was set on Arty Girlz this week.

Like I needed an excuse to use buttons.

This is a belated birthday card for a friend, but I won't say who in case you are reading this!

I have been trying to take photos of my cards in better lighting, had to venture outside to my front wall to take this.

And yes, I am still obsessed with Magnolia stamps! Also my cards are getting so layered, I'll have needing to send them parcel rate soon!

Ingredients
Paper - Basic Grey (Mellow)
Stamps - Magnolia and unknown
Punches - Fiskars and Martha Stewart

Flowers - Prima
Pencils - Derwent Watercolour

String, lace and buttons from stash

Arty Girlz - Who inspires you?

This week the Arty Girlz have asked us to create a piece of work inspired by someone's blog.

As you may have gathered, I have been SO inspired by Karola's blog lately. Although I don't understand a word of what she writes, her work is beautiful. She attends to such detail, and her use of colour is wonderful.

So, it wasn't hard for me to create a card.

I also tried to use up some scraps from my craft table, had some left over punchies and flowers etc. So made a 2nd card too.

ALSO! I love how the experiment with sprinkling fine glitter over the Pebeo pearl touch worked, I also dabbed some pva onto the brad and dipped in glitter. The result reminds me of Christmas cards I got as a child, with glitter that looked like frost.

Anyway, here they are, thanks for looking, and thanks for the lovely comments you leave too!

Ingredients:
Paper and Stamp by Anna Griffin, Pebeo pearl touch, Prima flower, McGill pine punch, Leone Em leaf punch, glitter, gingham heart, lace and brad from stash.

Arty Girlz RIBBON and playing with Robo...again!

I love using ribbon, so jumped at the Arty Girlz challenge this week!

Ingredients:
Flower and butterfly pattern designed by me and cut on Robo, Anna Griffin paper, Hero Arts stamp, ribbon and some micro beads.

Had to use the other half of what I had cut, wanted a different look, the detail isn't greaton the picture, stuck crystals and where the glue squidged out, threw on some silver micro beads, the result is really delicate and pretty.
