Here's our poor baby at home, resting. All I can say is someone was a little to happy with the shaver - yikes! And, PTL for drugs! He is sleeping, and hopefully not in pain.

Poor Charlie
All of you know how much I love my canine brother, Charlie. Well, he has been having some trouble - stiffness, not able to get up off the floor, not able to jump up into the van, stumbling when going up the steps. We thought since he's a labrador, it was his hips. (Labs are prone to hip dysplasia.) He went to see a specialist today, and it turns out he has partial tears on the ACL on both back knees. So they kept him and he had surgery on one of the knees this afternoon. He will stay overnight at the vet, and then come home tomorrow. He'll have to stay in his crate all day for the next 8 weeks - only coming out to go outside to potty. Poor baby! PTL his mommy is retired and can stay with him 24/7 (with some help from yours truly). If you are so inclined, please say a little prayer for him to have a smooth and complete recovery.
Hugs to all & extra hugs to your pets,

Charlie & Santa
I apologize for the poor quality, but I had to scan it from a print. This was taken 2 Xmases ago, for Charlie's 1st Christmas. I love that he's stylin' with only one eye showing! LOL
I'm waiting to post the rest of my cards until I'm sure they have been received. In the meantime, I hope you are all having a wonderful week!

Finally...
Thanks for your patience! Finally, I've had time to transfer pictures from my camera, so I can share them here.

This was a Christmas present for my dear friend Katie. We met at Michigan State and have been friends since. She lives in Ann Arbor (home of our mortal intra-state enemy, U of M), which aside from that dastardly institution (okay, I know, it's probably _because_ of said institution) is a pretty happening place. Katie is the epitome of artsy cool, and she cracks me up, which is why she is one of my oldest friends. We have become great pen-pals, and try to visit each other a few times a year. This year, I vow to make it the Ann Arbor Art Festival in the summer. What better way to see such an esteemed show than in the company of a dear friend and local artisan?
Also a Christmas gift, this one is the key hook I made for my sister, Jennifer. She wants to be/thinks she is a princess, her husband treats her like one, and the rest of us don't have the heart (or stamina) to tell her otherwise (although I think her day job tips her off now and then). She is forever forgetting where she has put her keys when she comes over to visit, so this is now the appointed place.
And this is Charlie in his holiday attire. Gotta love him!
