Created this layout for a sketch challenge. The original had a cut out of circles with paper behind. I went the opposite and cut out circles, inked them and put them on top of the cardstock background. I also created a shaker with a starburst circle die and some patterned paper with a sticker. On the original there was a pocket card where my shaker is. The title on the picture was actually part of the photo one of my DD's friends shared on social media of them together to wish her a Happy Birthday. I thought it was so cute I printed it out to use for this layout.

Lovely - Sketch Challenge
Today I have for you a layout I created for a the Sketch Challenge on the Schnockered Scrappers Blog
The photo is of My Mom as a child(in front) with her Mom, Dad, Brother and Sister. It's a sweet family photo that I love. For the paper I used a kit from the Scraproom March 2021 Flavors of the Month. They are Echo Park Welcome Spring. The chipboard is Heidi Swapp. I love how all of the cut circles frame the single photo.
Hope everyone is having a great April Fools Day. No pranks from me but surely someone will pull one on me....
Sketch Challenge - Vienna
So it's the begining of the month and there is a new challenge up at the Schnockered Scrappers Challenge blog. For this one I created a sketch. Be sure to check it out.
The layout I created if of Vienna. The paper and some of the embellishments are Simple Stories Cozy Days from a Scraproom kit last fall. I punched a bunch of flowers out of cardstock in matching colors added stickles to the centers and die cut the title with Memory Box dies.
That sweet face. Vienna is my puppy she may be over 12 years old but she'll always be my puppy.
Scrappy Sunday - Victoria Marie Online Crop It's Fall Y'all - Sunday Challenge 1 & 2
More layouts from the Victoria Marie Online Crop for September. The above layout was a fall page with non traditional fall colors. I had a page kit made up with older scraps like Junkitz and Scenic Route along with some bits of card stock that matched. I am thrilled with how this turned out. I cut the title out of white then distressed it to look like roasted marshmallows.
This challenge was the sketch challenge so self explanatory. I know I'm still doing baby, toddler, grade school, and high school pictures for these 2 but they are almost completely grown. It was fun to do really current pictures like from only a few weeks ago. The paper is from Hobby Lobby but perfect for this event.
Thanks for taking a look I have one more set of layouts to share so tomorrow.
Skies of Blue - Scrappy Saturday
Another song title layout challenge along with a sketch. I had more than one of these in April and May. The pictures are of a lovely Spring sky with all the pinks and blues. The tag which is the main embellishment is from a day when I sat down to use my stash to create some embellishments. I love digging into my premade clusters every once in awhile.
I need to sit down and make some more embellishments it's a good way to zone out and use up scraps.
Thank you for taking a look today.
Splish Splash - Scrappy Saturday
Digging in to some old photos I found these adorable ones of Emily when she was little in a bathing suit in the water where she loved to be. She is totally my little mermaid.
I did start this originally for a challenge that included a sketch and the need to use a song title. I think I have 3 song titles on this layout. I got to use my Counterfeit Kit along with one of my Spellbinder dies(the mermaid) to create this. I did find the sketch challenging so it took me too long to do. But it doesn't look as bad as I think it did in the beginning.
Hope all is well. Hang in there! Hugs everyone!
Lovely - Scrappy Saturday
My Friend Maggie took Abbi on a trip to Michigan for one of Megan's skating competitions. They stayed right on the dunes and she took some amazing photos of them and sent them to me. I love love their happy faces and all of the beautiful sunshine on the dunes they enjoyed during time off from the Rink.
I used a Pink Paisley kit from The Scrap Room and some Spellbinders dies I chalked up. I 'm so in love with this color palette. The black doily is from Doodlebug and the letters are American Crafts thickers.
Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look. I hope all is well with you and yours...
You're My Sunshine
Here is my layout for the Scrap Room Challenge April 2020 Jump Start Sketch(below). I used a single shot kit from the Scrap Room with items from Jen Hadfield and some embellishments from my embellishment box. Love these photos of Abbi, she loved a bouncy castle when she was little! This day we were at a Birthday Party and she just ran around and slid down the slide over and over and over.
I did turn this layout on it's side so that it worked with the orientation of my photos.
Thank you for stopping by to take a look I hope everyone is having an Awesome Day. Stay Home and Stay Safe.
Pinata Time - The Scrap Room FB
Had fun creating this layout using the Scrap Room Facebook Group Sketch Challenge this month. I used the kit Echo Park Hello Spring for this one. I'm in love with the yellow stripes. I fussy cut the butterflies and added some butterfly buttons from my stash, as well as rub ons(American Crafts), sequins, and a Stamp Set for the title. I did stamp each letter and cut it out.
Below is the sketch I was working from. I did flip it on it's side to help with the orientation of my photos this time.
Thank you for stopping by hope your weekend was great! Happy Monday!
Hearts and Love
I've been busy creating Valentines. Which really wasn't my intention but I guess I've been inspired by all of the beautiful projects around the web I just can't help myself. Well that and a lot of the cool color challenges have a Red element, which makes it a no brainer.
Today I have a card using my current favorite watercolor medium Brushos and Tulip Tie Dye powder. The red strip is created using those two items on watercolor paper. Once it was dry I used a Memory Box stencil Hearts Heart Confetti and white embossing paste. The patterned paper is from my stash. The Love in the heart is a MFT die Heart Full of Love cut from a blue scrap and silver mirror card. For a little more texture I've added some twine with a bow.
This card is for three challenges:
1. Daring Cardmakers - January Inspiration Picture
I've used 3 things from the picture first the color, second the twine and third the heart shape with silver around the edge.
2. Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge - Stencil It
3. Mojo Monday - Sketch #430
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope your having a Happy Sunny Day!
Enjoy
As promised NO more Holiday cards. Today I have one that could really be anything. All of the products used are My Favorite Things Stamps. I love this cloud background die and had to finally use it. When I saw the sketch below for the Wednesday Sketch MFTWSC261 I knew immediately what I would be doing. Using my airplane and the clouds was ideal. This would make a great birthday card or even any type of celebratory event!
I had so much fun playing along with this challenge! I can't wait for the next one my new MFT order will have arrived so I will have new things to play with! Woo HOOO!
Thanks again for stopping by. Can you tell I'm excited the kids are back to school? Have a great day!
Silent Sound of Snow
Good Morning. Happy Winter everyone. It's finally arrived here brrrrrr...... it's in the low 20's here as I type this. We're all bundled up in our flannels snug as bugs in a rug. Well until we have to take the doggies out to go potty then it all becomes a thing. Short little dogs with short little legs do not think Snow is "MAGIC". I however do and I love love love this stamped phrase from IndigoBlu! I just had to used it for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge #281 you can see the sketch below. I know it's hard to read the greeting on the card with all the little snowflakes about but I've put a picture of the stamp set below. The background here is is created with Distress Inks and Inka Gold in Silver and Memory box stencils. Everything is layered onto blue shimmer paper by Coordinations.
The fun tinsel twine I found at a little shop with stalls quite some time ago. I've just been waiting to open it up and use the fun vintagey tinsel! I did cut the circles and scalloped with Memory Box Open Studio dies.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I promise clearer image next time! Have a wonderful warm cozy Sunday. I'm off to work!
Golden Toile Your Appreciated Thank You
Happy New Years Eve.... Today we are getting ready for a fun family New Years Eve party. I've finished all my shopping and I am just cooking up some fun finger food for us all to share. So it's time for another challenge card, this time a Thanks So Much card. The challenge is from Mojo Monday #428 and it's a sketch challenge. This is the sketch below.
I used mostly some scraps of paper and cards Shirley from stamp club traded with us and a stamp set(Toile Blossoms by SU) that was lying on top of stack of stamps. I've had these stamps forever and I have used them tons well a long long time ago. I just recently unmounted them so they were at the top of the stack.
Here I stamped them in Tree Branch Archival ink on a craft tag and colored them with Prisma Color Pencils(haven't used these in ages). I do like how the flower turned out on the craft. The sentiment came from another older SU set Lots of Thoughts.
I've also stamped the Ivory Background with a Crackle background stamp in the Tree Branch again. This paper was the only new paper I actually used. It's called Gold Dust Shimmering Cardstock from Crafter's Companion. I wish I could get a better photo of it so you could really see the shimmer, it's so pretty.
The other sparkle elements I've added are the gold vellum strip, gold ribbon, the gold metallic paper circle and there is gold Wink of Stella around the leaves and in the flowers but it is also hard to see.
The fun was in creating this from what was sitting here on my desk needing to be put away for the most part though. A challenge on top of a challenge.
I would like to take this opportunity to Thank each and every one of you that stop by my blog and wish you a Happy Healthy and Safe New Year. I wish you a Wonderful 2016.

June CARS Swap - Sketch Card
Time for a C.A.R.S. (Chicago Area Rubber Stampers) post. For this month we were given a sketch to use to create our swap cards with. This one came out super soft and pastely(a word?) not really me but it was fun to play around with some softer colors for a bit. The bright bold colors will be back again I'm sure! While it was fun I kept wanting to add more to make it pop.
Can't wait to see what everyone else did and our program tonight is Washi Tape. Emily and I have been playing and she's been showing me tons of things she has found on Pinterest to do with the Washi Tape so I can't wait to learn more to add to our list of fun things.
Have a great day!

Your In Luck- Using the March Bombshell Sketch
It's time for the Bombshell sketch challenge over on the Bombshell Blog. Kathi designed this fun Challenge. I had a great time using the Holiday Accessories Bombshell Stamp Set. I also uncovered my set of Yasutomo water colors. The shimmery ones. I was searching for something else entirely, that's how it goes though. Once the background and lucky horseshoe was dry I added some rhinestones and Wink Of Stella. It's all very shimmery which I have a terrible time capturing in a photo but I insist on doing shimmery pieces. Hmmmmm
Thanks so much for stopping by have a wonderful day!
