Scrappy Saturday - Light Effect

Yay it's the weekend.  Created this layout using a base page from my stash I made with my scraps awhile back.   I found some older letter stickers that can be colored and inked them to match the papers.  The little letters are My Little Scrapbook(I don't think they are around anymore).

The pictures are from when Abbi changed her room up and added LED lights all around.  They change colors, she loves them.   We tried our best to photograph some of the different colors.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day.

Scrappy Saturday - Hygge

I was in an online crop recently and the challenge was to make a layout without photos.  Here is one about my Hygge loves.

I had fun stamping the ++++ and adding all the little icons from an embellishment pack from a Scraproom kit.  So happy how it turned out.

Hope you all are having an amazing day!

Blankets - Stash Scrapping

All blankets in our house belong to the dogs.  Vienna especially loves the people blankets.  I mean dog blankets are fine but if you have a blanket she must join in.

I did get an opportunity to use a giant doily punch to create this background.  I also used up some old rub ons for the title.  Very proud of that I have so many old rub ons if I find some that still work I'm excited.

Thank you for stopping by today to take a look.  Have a Great One.

Play Ball Scrap Our Stash Challenge

I know this is not a great picture but I'm so rarely in photos and I cherish this one with Abbigayle.   This was my companies Summer work outing to Picnic and see the Chicago Dogs play(THEY WON!).  The kids really didn't want to go but I made them and we all ended up having a great time together.  Abbi and I made funny face pictures and the lighting is terrible because of the lights on the baseball field.

The layout itself uses a "new" paper pack I added to my stash from Tuesday Morning from Echo Park - Good Day Sunshine.  The baseballs I made with a circle punch and a red pen.  From my stash I used Heidi Swap rub ons, glitter dots from Archivers(blast from the past), the puffy arrow is Basic Grey(another blast from the past) and a wood veneer @ from my veneer box and some older MME Christmas washi tape. OOOH and my journaling block is a stamp from KI Memories.  I just found it recently in my stash. That is probably the oldest thing on my layout.  It's fun to use things that are older, some of them are even coming back around in style!

The sketch comes from the Scrap Our Stash challenge blog March 2020 Sketch Challenge.

I had a great time working on this and remembering our evening as a family.  This is the reason I scrapbook to keep the memories alive.  Happy and not so happy that turns in to happy as the case may be.

Hope your keeping busy in this crazy time and  staying safe with your family.  Thank you for stopping by to take a look.

School Open House - Scrappy Saturday

Working thru some older photos this year and trying to use up old Rub Ons  as well.   This layout is fun since Emily and Annie were in the same classroom.

I did use some of my old(7+ years old) rub ons here and I threw out some packages that didn't work I feel like that will happen often this year as I try to use them up.  I do have a pretty large collection of rub ons so the challenge will be to get that down to a tiny pile by the end of the year.

Here I also used older Heidi Swapp chipboard letters and hearts and some 7 gypsies fabric tape along with doodling and older papers.

Thank you for stopping by stay warm and inside!  SCRAP the weekends I encourage it!

Best Friends - Scrappy Saturday

The puppies love sitting in the Sun everyday we move their bed in front of the open door and they watch the neighborhood as they sunbath.  Layout background created with scraps and a stencil.  Then I mad some tags and inked and stamped them added my journaling to 2 of them.   The My Day was already on the photo as I took a screen shot from one of Emily's snapchat posts.

Hopefully everyone is having a sunshiney day as well!  Hugs.

Scrappy Saturday- Puppy Pool Time

These puppies hate water.  So Pool Time is not really a thing to them.  We have moved baths outside though for the summer.  No need to have water all over the house  when they can run around outside.

The layout is done using an old paper pad from K&Co.  I took it apart and made a bunch of base pages that I can just add photos and a title and whatever else I want.   Love this for quick scrapping especially this time of year when I need a little break from Craft Fairing but not too long a break.

Hope everyone is enjoying our late summer days.  Thanks for stopping by.

Old School - Layout - Scrappy Saturday

Having fun Scrapping this winter.  It's bitter cold or wet and icy or snowing so it's best to stay home and scrapbook some pictures.

Here is Em(and Mihoko sneaking out of the picture).  They were typing letters this night on our old school typewriter to send to Annie who was away at camp.  Everyone had a great time taking turns typing.

I love the various clusters here but that Velvet ribbon I've been hording for awhile waiting for the perfect project.  The title and subtitle for this one is Stamped onto the layout.

Thank you for stopping by!  Keep warm and safe!

Brothers So Tweet - Layout - Scrappy Saturday

The boys need some layouts.  I know this photo looks terribly pink for the boys but really it's more of a taupe my photography lighting is questionable some days.

Anyhoo the boys were being kind and sitting together on their perch/swing this day just being cute!  I had a great time pulling together the pieces to build this layout and as  you can see I have some items I will call vintage.  From my time collecting all things MME and Jenni Bowlin many many moons ago.

Hope your having a fabulous weekend and staying warm and safe!

The Boys Club - Scrappy Saturday

Here they are the 2 skreechers. The only boys in our household besides my DH.   They can be cute like this but usually one is trying to clean the other with a great deal of protest from the one being cleaned or they are fighting over a particular perch or toy.  Anyway when they are cute they are cute like in this photo.

I did use the Randomizer app to create this layout.  This is great for when you don't have an idea or starting point.  It took a bit of time to set up adding the techniques and products but it has colors and number combos so depending on my mood I can choose a couple of each or just one item to get me started.  For this one I chose a color combo Red/Tan/Blue and a technique Stenciling.  The combo was easy.  The stenciling was the feathers and the 6 little birds put on with silver embossing paste.

I spent some time last month going through my add on embellishment box and creating my own embellishment clusters.  This is a lot of fun and a great way to use up a quantity of embellishments.  Then you just pick from your stash.  So exciting to use some of that up!  I want to do this again when I have time in the new year maybe.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope your having an Awesome day.

Sandpipers - Scrapbook Saturday(Flashback)

This layout I love it's a circle which I thought was really cool at the time.  However I insisted on adding those points all around the edge of the already 12 x 12 circle.  It's brilliant right?  NO it doesn't fit into a page protector(DUH brain fart moment).  The photos of the girls playing on the beach (Lake Michigan, MI side) are awesome though.  They were so little and still liked each other, total Besties then.

The paper are all Basic Grey(oh how I miss this company).  I just cut out the flowers and used hem as an element.  I added rub ons for a title and subtitle and the white doodles were done by hand.

Thank you once again for stopping by! Hope your having a fabulous weekend getting ready for the Holidays!

A Fun Dance Layout - Scrapping Get it Done

In August I attended our Scrapbook Expo Crop in Schaumburg.  Got a bunch of layouts done, a little shopping done and had an AMAZING time.  It's been years since I've gone to an all day crop and didn't work but just played with my own stuff!

This layout is a product of that day.  The background was misted with some Distress Stain.  Pen from the amazing Alice, Pentel Energel(have you tried these, OMG I love them they write so nice).  Patterned Paper and Vellum are both American Crafts.  The title and rose cut out are both done on the Silhouette.  The red roses came from Mon Ami Gabi's booth.   It was a joy working on this layout and quick.  Plus other croppers came by to see it which was surprising but fun!  The pics are from one of Emily's first Dance Recitals(I know I'm behind, don't remind me).

Hope your having a wonderful Monday!  We are here! Thanks for stopping by!

Beauty

Another layout this one from my Stash Scrapping Kit from July.  Love these pictures of Abbi she is just gorgeous!  And this was when she would pose for a photo without a gameboy in her hands and without telling me just wait.  Now she's too busy!

So I love the Schnockers Stash Scrapping Kits.  I've been getting  a lot of scrapping done with them.  More layouts coming!  A couple I need to get out the sewing machine for but with my room reorganization I've made room to have my sewing machine set up most of the time.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Hope everyone is having a great weekend.  We definitely are!

Merry Go Round

Working on some layouts yet again.  This one I challenged myself to use what I had laying around!  It turned out cute.  I can't believe my girls had hair that short.  That was the summer they wanted their hair cut!  Now they go to Marty and tell him only an inch or two, maybe long bangs.  Oh well reminds me of all the memories we make all summer.  I should really get the pictures off my camera from this past summer. HA

Proof I still Scrapbook!

I do scrapbook just not often!  I have a bunch of layouts I've done in the last few months to share though.  So here we go.  The Girls at Navy Pier after getting all of their hair cut off.  The pics are old cause one is now almost a teenager and the other one turned 10 last week.  YIKES time flies.

Oh well I used a Papertrey Ink stamp and die cut along with a Martha Stewart deep edge punch.  The papers are American Crafts.

As Always...  Thanks for stopping by I appreciate your visit!

Sneak of the January Calendar Layout

This year we are adding a Calendar kit for each month to our kits section at the store.  Here is January.  I had a lot of fun picking out papers and playing with this Graphic 45 paper.

Thank you so much for stopping by I really appreciate it.   Have a GREAT Day!

Basics Of Scrapbooking plus some Bunny Love

So this week I'm teaching the basics of scrapbooking.  Here is a quick and easy layout I created.  The girls last Easter.  Emily is so proud of her handywork.

New Layout Up

Actually did a layout for my shop. I've never done layouts without pictures before unless it was in a class. So this was a totally new experience.
Getting started on fall stuff now. I can't believe it especially since summer finally arrived this week here! It's been in the 90's and oh so humid for the first time all summer!
We had a great little vacation I have tons of photos so those will be interspersed with projects I've been completing for various things!
Hope you had a great weekend!

Weekend Stuff

Working on this layout. It has some

technical difficulties. Need to break out the sewing maching. That'll fix it!

Other than that summer is going slow around here trying to keep the kiddos entertainted! ARGHHHH!
