Virtual Crop - iNSD Crop - Friday Recap

It's time for another Virtual Crop by Victoria Marie.  It's also International Scrapbook Day on Saturday so there are tons of events going on all over the Web and at Local Stores and OH MY.   I'm excited I've set aside time this weekend.  I've planned all of my layouts for every challenge.  I've got snacks and a menu that I can handle for the Fam without too much trouble.  I'm ready to get going.

For the first layout we had to do one about ourselves.   EEEEP 5 things about me?  I was excited I just got some new listing stamps in my most recent Layle By Mail order.  So of course I reached for what was new.  The clip and the bullet points are in my new cool stamp set.

Next up is little Gracie.  She is really the sweetest/saddest dog.  Always with this look plus her super satin coat.  I used an entire package of doggie paper clips on this layout.  I stitched each one on with gold thread(UGHHH slippery stuff).   The boxes around them are rub ons because I'm going to make a dent in those this year.  Doodlebug alphas complete this layout.

Virtual Crop - Mixed Media Madness - Friday/Saturday/Sunday Recap 6 Layouts

Once again doing the Victoria Maria virtual crop Mixed Media Madness.  I love these even though this the weekend it was held this month there were other things going on and I had to leave the house a couple of times for events.  This of course made it so I got less completed during the crop but 6 layouts is still not to shabby.

My first layout above is of my Grandmother, my Mom, Aunt and Uncle.  I love this photo and the mixed media on this one is Distress Oxide Ink with a lace stencil to create the floral background.  The paper and die cuts are Pretty Little Studios Miss Sadie Rose from my March Scraproom kit.  and I used an old border die as the border strip.  Love how this turned out.

This Valentine layout is of the gifts for my family for Valentines this year.  A friend of mine makes these beautiful cookies(and their yummy).  I was so excited to give them to everyone.  Cookies are always a hit.  The challenge was watercolor.  I cheated I have a watercolor paper pad and used that since the colors were ideal.

Emily with her first set of mouse ears she was really little.  Lots of stamping on this one which was the challenge the background is all stamped with Echo Park Stamps the cameras are also stamped and Magic Starts Here as well.  The title I created on the Silhouette along with the Mini heads and bows.  Paper is by Basic Grey(I use it sometimes when I'm not saving it).

Longdogs, always together.  Much to Vienna's dismay I think sometimes.  I altered the chipboard title and the heart strips are cut from watercolor paper I painted.  Paper MME, vellum hearts are Studio Calico.

I don't do a lot of masculine pages but I was excited to get to use Simple Stories Bro. & Co. from a Scraproom kit last summer.  The background is done with a Memory Box stencil and embossing paste.  Some little letters from Jenni Bowlin and a tag and some stickers from my stash.

Lastly for this crop I did a layout of some birthday pictures of my brother.  I used Doodlebug paper and embellishments.  Stenciled the dots background with Distress Oxide ink and cut the title with my Silhouette.  Some of the 70's and 80's pictures I have are damaged by light but they are all that I have so they will all be documented eventually.

I know I didn't get a lot done this crop and Victoria Marie gives you a couple of weeks after to complete them.  I just find I'm so much more motivated during the crop weekend.  After it's over I tend to move on to different projects.  Maybe I'll come back and finish something half done but that's about it.  Still I think 6 layouts on a weekend I had other things going on is Awesome!    And it's always fun!

Hope someone is inspired by this.  Thanks for stopping by

Virtual Crop Weekend - The Scraperbowl - Sunday Pages

Today I didn't get as much done as yesterday but still better than nothing.   The first layout is of Emily at the Strawberry patch when she was little I think she ate more than she picked of course.  I created the title with the Silhouette and some red paper with black dots and strawberry seeds.  The strawberry paper is Imaginiece it's an older line.  I did find a wood veneer strawberry which was really exciting.

For the this layout I used American Crafts papers and some various dies to create this layout.  The bunnies and carrots are Spellbinders, the swing is memory box, the suns are IO and the title is Scrapbook.com.  The pictures are of the kids and their cousin playing in the back yard on one of  the first nice days we had.

So that's 7 layouts complete this weekend.  Not too bad usually one of Victoria Marie's crops offer you challenges for up to 9 or 10 layouts/projects.  Sometimes I get them all done sometimes I get a few done it just depends on what else is  going on, on a daily basis.  The only bad part of cropping at home is that I still have to cook and take care of other things while I'm cropping.  But it's still so productive.  At a crop I would be talking and shopping and getting about the same amount of pages complete so I'm happy.

Hope you had a great weekend.  I can't wait for the next crop weekend.

Virtual Crop Weekend -The Scraperbowl - Friday Let the Fun Begin

YAY cropping along with a friend and Victoria Marie in the Scrapper Bowl Virtual Crop.  I love Victoria Marie's crops each month.   They are super organized inspiring and laid out so I am able to plan and get lots done during them.

Tonight's challenge was to use something we haven't or don't really know how to use.  I chose to finally get out and use my Silhouette Foil Quill pens.  You know I had to have them when they first came out, ummmmm in 2019... (insert guilty look) And there they sat in my craft room collecting dust because I was intimidated by them.  Anyhoo go them out figured out how to use them and created this layout.  The We Wish You A Merry Christmas tree and the presents are all created using the foil quill and gold foil.  I do like how they turned out and I only had to do the tree twice mostly because of placement on my paper.  I am grateful for these challenges if it was left up to me I would probably never have used the foil quill which is much easier than I made it out to be in my mind!  10 points Victoria Marie.

The patterned paper is My Minds Eye Christmas on Market Street and the picture is of the girls at my in-laws before my MIL's tree turned into a Cubs tree.  I added some gold dots and journaling which still needs a date I meant to look that up?

I will post my completed layouts tomorrow and Sunday.   Can't wait to spend the next 2 days cropping.

Scrappy Saturday - Victoria Marie Crop - Challenge 3 & 4

These challenges are from the Victoria Marie It's Fall Y'all Virtual Crop we had a great time doing them and I have more layouts to photograph and post.

This challenge was to do a Fall Bucket List.  I'm literal what can I say.  I had a good time creating this though.  I created the bucket and leaves with the Silhouette.  Now we just need to check back often and do all of these things.
This challenge was to scrap something challenging or difficult I guess.   I've never scrapped my Dad before.  He passed away right before my 21st Birthday it was sudden and very hard for everyone.  I have a bunch of photos of him so I think I may do more at least one about his love for Fishing.  Anyhoo these were all scraps of paper I had in my scrap bin which matched the fall leaves in this picture so well.

Thanks for taking a look have a Great Day.

Scrappy Saturday - Victoria Marie Online Crop It's Fall Y'all - Saturday Challenge 1 & 2

These are a bit backwards.  Above is challenge 2 which was to use a quote.  The pictures are from Emily's  4yr old preschool trip apple picking.   I did loving using this base page I created awhile back from larger scraps.  And I'm loving this color scheme for a Fall Page which matches the kids shirts and the green of the trees.  I got to use a wonderful birthday present to create my quote mini tile letters from the Stamp Market.  Very exciting!   The apples are a Martha Stewart punch and the title are Thickers in Navy.
This is challenge1 and is about Fall changes and transitions.  I love the sticker that says Always Forward Never Back.  The pictures are from our trip to the Sunflower patch a couple of weeks ago.  I tried really hard to get good pictures of the Bee's at work.  They were not interested in me taking their photo though.  This paper is from our August Scraproom kit, it's by Photoplay.  I added clear gesso to the white card stock and did a little mixed media on the background.

Online Crop - Victoria Marie It's Fall Y'all

This weekend we are participating in Victoria Marie's Online Crop It's Fall Y'all.  It's a great way to spend a long weekend.

The first challenge was a bonus challenge with ingredients we must use. Die Cuts, A large title, 2-3photos, Patterned Paper, Chipboard, a border  and enamel dots.

Here is my layout this is from a set of scraps I pulled for a mini kit.  The new things here are the title and the clouds done on my Silhouette and the border a Memory Box die.   The enamel dots are from a Hero Arts kit.  The scallop piece is a Bazzill piece and the chipboard is Heidi Swapp.

I'll be back with more layouts from this weekend.  Have a Great Labor Day Holiday.

New Haircut - Virtual Crop Challenge - Kit It Up

Good Morning!  Hope everyone is keeping busy while home or being safe if you have to work.   I have to work but I'm home by a little after noon so I do get a bit of time to play.  I am playing along with Victoria Marie's Virtual Facebook Crop.  She generously created  5 challenges with prizes for us to play along with and has been going live on Facebook which is fun.  Plus there are all kinds of other things going on at her Facebook page.

For the first challenge we were to create a kit and a layout with it.  Above is my kit.  As you can see I have lots of rub ons in it.  I'm cleaning out that box in my room so I check there before letter stickers and elements.  I have had throw out about 50% of what I've tried to use as they had expired which is a bummer but it's a good lesson in using those things your saving for something special.  It is all special every single little memory.  Just use it!  I have been challenging myself to scrap with my stash.  I do belong to a kit club but I am trying to alternate the pages old and new product or incorporating old with new.

Below is my layout.  I did use the B sides of the papers and had to throw out the Hambly rub ons.  But the October afternoon ones worked great.  I did color my & with chalk inks and I added some speckles and buttons as well.  otherwise everything else was from the kit.
The pictures are Emily when she first had all her hair cut off about 8 inches.  Love her haircut it's soft and pretty.

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look hope everyone is staying safe !

Crop Partner - Scrappy Saturday

Another layout today using older items from my stash.   I continue on my journey to Use It Up and create some pages for my scrapbooks.

This one is of Dianne my partner in crop or crop partner.  We have done the Scrapbook Expo crop a few times and always have had fun.  Not sure how productive we are as you can see we're just taking pictures and thinking about food.  But it's fun none the less.

This layout uses a lot of Basic Grey including some very old rub ons.  I have found very few of my rub ons from BG still work but I got a few on here.  The paper is from a 6x6 paper pad by Basic Grey.  The pink letters are Simple Stories and the white rub ons for Partner are from Heidi Swap.  There are Studio Calico veneer and puffy stickers, Basic Grey banner embellishments and a Doodlebug doily.  Some things I don't know they are just from my bits box.

So far the scrapbooking is keeping my mind occupied and I feel like I'm getting things done.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Hope your day is Wonderful!  Stay Safe.

Scrappy Saturday - July 4th

All I have wanted to do lately is Scrapbook.  Seems odd since I work with paper every single day that I would literally crave more paper crafts and a specific kind.  I started by creating some mini album classes, those are a ton of fun but once it's done it's done.  I've been dabbling with Stash Scrapping Kit groups those are fun but I get a little nuts pulling to much product from my stash(I do not have a collecting problem... I swear).   I joined the Studio Calico Kit club and travel to crops with just that.   I've started to gain a little more momentum each time I sit down to scrap.

So here on Saturday's I will share with you what I have done lately.

To Start 2 older layouts from the earlier Crop in June.

Daddy's Girls
This is from a stash scrapping moment.  As is probably evident by the old product.  7Gypsies paper and stickers, a little MME and Jenni Bowlin from my scraps.  The big heart from Bazzill and older Alpha stickers.
Pumpkin On Fire
This one was fun the stars were left over from another project,  the orange stick came in a very old kit club.  Bo Bunny chevron paper.  The scallops are Bazzill Borders.  The rub ons and label?????  Not sure of the alpha either.  OMG I almost forgot the old Chatterbox polka dot paper!  Loved Chatterbox I have all of their papers well unless I've used them.

Now onto layouts completed at the Crop this past Sunday this was the day I really felt the need to scrapbook grow.
Abbigayle @Gobberts
This is all from the Studio Calico Kits except the sequins.  I had fun just using the kits and making it work.
Untitled - Leepers Fork Pumpkin Patch
I didn't do a title on this one not sure why but it was more about having fun together than the pumpkin patch at Leepers Fork.   Again all products from the Studio Calico Kits except the sequins.

Part of this new found motivation had really been my family.  In the last few months I have taken layouts out of the rubber maid containers they had been in for years and put them into albums.  I so far have 7 new 12x12 albums full.  I need a couple more but I'm buying a couple each month.  Anyway the girls and even family and friends that visit see these lined up and can't resist to look that them.  They are having such a great time with them it makes me want to do more.  Somewhere along the way I forgot why I scrap and they have reminded me with the Joy I see it brings them.   Not to mention I love playing with paper and especially looking back at all of the memories we've created together.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
