Delightful Daisy Cards

Happy Weekend.  I've been trying to get back into my craft room every week creating something new.  This week I was inspired by the Lawn Fawnatics color challenge and a few Lawn Fawn dies and stamps to create these slimline cards  I used Delightful Daisy as my main focal point, and the Happy Birthday, Hello and Thank You Borders, cut from copper mirror card, for my greeting.  I also used the grasses from Gleeful Gardens on my background which was created using Distress Oxide inks in Speckled Egg, Bundled Sage, and some Peeled Paint.  The flowers were cut from paper I colored with Distress Oxide as well, Worn Lipstick and Seedless Preserves.    I then grunged them all up with Walnut Stain and some shimmery copper splatters.  I tried really hard at the end to ruin them with glue everywhere because, you know, it's not fun(exhilarating) unless you try to mess it up just as your almost finishing a project...

I could not decide on a greeting so I used 3 different ones.  The Hello is new just got that one while in Iowa at Scrapmania.  I love being able to use new product within a month of getting it, instead of putting it away and forgetting about it
Thank you for stopping by and taking a look.  Hope you have a Wonderful Weekend.

Dandelion Card - Inspired By

Lately I was having issues getting inspired, so I asked Abbi to pick out some supplies and I would make a card.  She came back with 2 ideas.  This is the first completed Inspired By cards.  I used a number of Memory Box/Poppy Stamps dies and created this sweet Dandelion Birthday card.  The greeting is from a Scrapbook.com stamp set embossed in white.   The background is just Distress Oxide inks

I was racking my brain trying to figure out how to do the fluffies on the dandelions and finally settled on some white yarn pulled apart until I just had little fluffy fibers which I glued behind the tiny flowers.   Some tiny glued on dots and then white gel pen dots also help the affect.

Really happy with it turned out as I have been struggling lately not being inspired.  The dog days of Summer got me.   Hopefully I will figure out card number 2 and share later.

Hope your enjoying your Summer.   Have a Great Day.

Birdy Birthday Cake Card

More Birthday Cards for the Etsy Shop HERE.  This fun Birthday Cake image is from Just Johanna/Odd Bird Planet.  It's an oldie but a goodie.
I Copic colored the cake and fussy cut it out adding some foam tape to give it some dimension.  The It's Your Day stamp is from Memory Box and the Celebrate die is from Queen & Co.   I did add some iridescent sequins for a little sparkle.
I used some patterned paper from a 6x6 pad to ground the image.  And it's hard to see but that navy cardstock has some shimmer to it.  I love how it turned out.

Hope all is well with everyone.  Thank you for coming to my blog!

May Swap Card - Candles/Cake/Cupcake

For the May Chicago Area Rubber Stampers Swap of Candles/Cake/Cupcakes I got brave and carved my own little stamp.  Nothing to exciting for my first carving just some stripes, which I then turned into little candles on my card using acrylic paint.

Once my candles were ready I cut the rest of the word WISH from my Silhouette with some candle flames.  I love how the greeting turned out.  The card itself was cut with a Crafters Companion border die, as well as the BoBunny double dots on top of it.  I found coordinating ribbon out of my ribbon stash for each color.
These individual pictures were taken outside which is why they are so washed out, Sorry.
(note:  This greyish blue BoBunny is one of the very first colors of Double Dots I ever bought when they first came out.  The weight and color saturation has changed  a lot over time when you compare.)
I had fun creating these cards I hope you like them as much as I do.  Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Tropical Card Series - Flamigos Birthday and Thank You

I had a short break over the Holiday week.   So I thought we would start this week with a very summery theme Tropical Cards.  I'm starting with a very quick and easy card using my Silhouette and some Greeting Dies from Tim Holtz and Sizzix.
These cards came together quick after I found the correct paper for the Flamingos.  I ended up finding it in a new pad I bought from Michaels.  The greetings are cut with the Tim Holtz Dies out of Gold Mirror Card.  The black dots are from my scraps as is the green paper.
This is going to come to a big finish which I'm excited about!  Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday last week and Summer is going well! Thank you so much for stopping by today!

It's Party Time

We have a lot of Birthdays around this time of year.  Today is my Wonderful Amazing Mother-In Law's Birthday.  Happy Birthday Marilyn.

Here is one I've created  it's perfect for anyone.  I've used my Silhouette to cut everything for this one.  I did refrain from adding glitter so it was more neutral.

I wold like to enter this into the Daring Cardmakers challenge Balloons today.

Thanks so much for stopping by Have THE BEST Thursday!

Bold Watercolor Birthday

Good Morning!  We've had unseasonably warm weather lately.  Like 60 degrees warm in December.  But in Chicago that doesn't mean warm sunshiney weather.  nooooooooooooooooo....  That generally means Wind(lots of wind) and rain and wait a second.... is that the sun?  5min later storm clouds....  Well you get it if you wait a minute the weather will change.

It's had me thinking of sunshine a flowers though and so today I have for you a fun card and break from Christmas.  I actually made this back in October for a friends birthday card.
I've used Brusho's for the background and for the flowers which I embossed with white and cut out.  The stamp set is WPlus9.  I stamped the stems in dark green then popped the flowers up on them.  The Happy Birthday is a die cut by Cheery Lynn.  I've cut them out of white and added glossy accents to them.  They also look embossed onto the front of the card. The finished card is actually and A7 card a new size for me to work in but more space.  Love Love how this one turned out the bright colors just make you happy!

Ok so now after all that flowery fun I'm off to wrap Christmas presents and start my Holiday Baking!  Can't wait to fill the house with Chrsitmasy smells!

Have a Wonderful day thank you so much for stopping by!

A Little Birdie Told Me

Good Morning!  I'm over on the Memory Box Blog today. We have but the fun doesn't have to stop we are still creating with the new products!  Today I've created a very soft card with this adorable Autumn Birdie Clear Stamp Set.  The bird was colored with Copic then I cut it out with the Pinpoint Circles.  The background is also created with Copic.  More circles  and a Scallop Pinpoint Circle cut out of Memory Box Papers and glitterized.  I love how the focal point turned out!

The background was created by cutting the Tippington Vine over and over and layering it onto Memory Box Paper.  Gives a soft raised look to the background.  Finally a satin ribbon to finish it off.
This card was created for my very Special Friend Alice's Birthday!  I hope she liked it!  We celebrated last week!

Hope your having a wonderful week.  Thank you so much for stopping by be sure to check back for more amazing ideas with this latest release!

Another Birthday Card using the FUSE

Good Morning, Another Birthday card today.  This one was for my SIL Paula.  I just got these Taylored Expressions stamps and dies and had to used them.  Along with my Fuse tool that was still in the package.  The stamped sheet is completely colored with Copic.  I die cut the seaweed, seashells and submarine from cardstock.  I did cover the sumbarine with glaze pen so it is shiny although in the Fused pouch you cannot tell.   When it was all done I Fused the gift card into the pouch and used it as my card cover.

So much fun to do.  There was a bit of a learning curve with the FUSE tool but it's easy when you get the hang of it.  I kept my scrap pocket material to do a little Fuse line when I use it again just to make sure I'm holding it at the right angle and such.

I'm so happy with the way it turned out like we were looking through glass at the fishies.  I probably should have made the base card a little wider.   But live and learn.

Thanks so much for stopping by have a Fantabulous Day!
