New WIP - Harbour Blanket

A new crochet WIP.  I'm trying to use up some of the yarn I keep collecting.  So this project uses only colors I have in the house and the Attic 24 Harbour Blanket Pattern.  I love the colors Lucy created this blanket in.  But I have no more room for new yarn until I use up some of what I have.   I'm trying not to let the crochet hobby take over like the paper hobby did.  USE WHAT YOU HAVE is my current mantra, and yes I usually have to yell it at myself.

Anyway this is a fun pattern to stitch while winding down in the evening.   I will share more progress as we go.  I am hoping to make this one pretty big.  Have a Great Week ahead.

FFO - Mandala Throw

It's a Fully Finished Object!  Woo Hoo! So excited I finished this throw.  It only took about 3 weeks and used 2 cakes of the Lion Brand Mandala yarns.  It was great practice for the granny square stitch and the yarn changed color without me having to.  AMAZING.

The edges when complete seemed a bit lackluster so I added a little scallopy border all around it.  We recently checked out a book from the library that was nothing but borders.  Oh my you could go nuts but I wasn't sure if I would have enough yarn so I stuck with something smaller.  

I was keeping track of my progress in the beginning but really it's a square you get it.  Even if it was exciting as the colors changed.  

I may have to make another in a different colorway, as it was really satisfying.  Hope all is well and you are enjoying your weekend.

Make Great Things Happen - PLAN Planner post 1

New Year New Planner - I've been perfecting this size for a year now. The Personal Filofax size.  Love love my little Filofax.  This year my planner is a lovely sea foam color so fresh and inspiring for the new year.  I have added a lot of pink items to my planner love the color combo so far.

I found some menu planning pages at Michael's so I've added that.  I also did a couple of charts for myself for my Stitchy WIPs and for all my other Paper Crafty WIPs.   Between my planner and my new cleaner semi organized craft room(pictures to follow at a later date). I'm excited for a crafty new year.  I also have to share my new purse that matches my planner.
